One thing from the books that I wish they would have mentioned in the movies is that Harry gave Fred and George Weasley the money he won from the Triwizard Tournament and they used that money to open up their joke shop. His one condition was that they buy Ron new dress robes so that he didn't look like someone dressed from the 18th century the next time they had a school formal event🤣
I agree! A lot they left out I was ok with. But that was a show of his character. And important.
(sry my english) I wish they add to movie fact that in hagwards was non verbal magic cast class where students actually learn how to spelll without seying words out loud... I think it was pretty good aspect and i really miss it.. :) ( again sorry my english, i learn it by myself.

The first time I read this book, I cried SO HARD. I was working at a summer camp, and the teens I was counseling asked me why I was sobbing…I cried “Snape killed Dumbledore!”😩😩😢😬. Ruined the book for about 12 people😂

The only thing i wish they wouldve shown in the movie was harry's growing relationship with the Half-Blood Prince throughout the movie. Snape used that book as more than a textbook cheat code. He also started using it as a diary and harry started to empathize and bond with him more before the twist at the end. If they did it, the twist wouldve hurt so much more
The twist is so hollow in the movie. It's like "I'm the half-blood prince!" "Oh, okay, that makes sense. Cool."
I also like the line from the books about him learning more from the prince than he ever did from Snape, Snape could’ve been an amazing teacher if he wasn’t such an ass.
@@ellaphx the film could have easily left out the Burrows being destroyed, (specifically since it wasn't in the book and was entirely unnecessary to the film's plot), and used that time to delve more into Snape's story... such a wasted opportunity
In the book, which you don't hear in the movie, is why Snape calls himself the Half-Blood Prince.
His mother was a muggle, and his father's last name was Prince. Thus, he is the Half-Blood Prince.
This wasn't told in the movie, and makes everything make sense....

My favorite unspoken moment of the series happens in this movie. I don't expect any reactors to pick it up first go. I've only seen one see it. They keep a piece of knowledge for book readers or even avid movie watchers. When Ron gets poisoned, Harry saves him using a bezoar. Snape taught him that in the first movie/book and again was written in the advanced potions book from the HBP, who we now know is Snape (last name was Prince, h/b mother). Anyway, the moment on the hospital wing that is my favorite: Dumbledore says "you must be very proud of your student Horace...using a bezoar" in the back you see Snape and Harry share a quick meaningful glance.... Snape a little surprised yet proud that he taught Harry something, and Harry both thankful but proud. Sweet moments to look back on after you finish the series 💗
I never noticed. Thanks for pointing it out. That is a dope moment.. I noticed my favorite unspoken movie moment just today, first time in this video. After watching the movie many times and not noticing.. When Dumbledore says "Magic always leaves a trace" and Harry touches the ring. He does Voldemorts neck movement after the flashes of images. That neck movement is what Voldemort does when he first gets a body back. It's foreshadowing to the true nature of Harry and the horcruxes. Amazing direction and acting.
Really good catch on Snape saving Draco from splitting his soul not a lot of people pick up on that

While it did save Draco, the point of having Snape kill Dumbledore was so that Voldemort would trust Snape unequivocally. In spy terms, Snape was a double agent.

You don't want to get ladies with love potions. Voldemort's mom used a love potion to get with his muggle father. The result is always a child that knows no such emotions.
That's...kinda messed up
There was a Tales from the Crypt episode involving love potions. This guy uses one to get this chick in his apartment building to love him. She becomes so attached and obsessed with him that he returns to the person that sold the love potion to obtain poison to off her. He puts the poison on one of the wine glasses and while he steps out of the room for a moment, she notices the glass is dirty and swaps them. He ends up dying from the potion and ends up in the afterlife. Then she appears moments later with mangled face because she jumped to her death after he died. Now he gets stuck with her for eternity.
If you haven't seen the last interview with Robbie Coltrane I encourage you to check it out. He talks about how when he's gone there will still be Hagrid for all future generations to enjoy.

In the book they explain that Snape's mother's maiden name was Prince, so that's why he's the half-blood prince. Wish they'd have explained it in the movie. I stood in line to buy the final book at midnight, and the big discussion was about Snape and whether he was good or bad!
Those were good times. I can't imagine kids these days standing in line for a book ( then again I'm kind of out of touch so maybe they do, I don't know).
Oh man I had just read the books when these last few movies were coming out. And I was so hyped to watch the last two books as a movie. I could only imagine reading them before the books had finished releasing!
That's the magical thing about this series especially if you read it as a child, you grow up with the characters and watch them grow from childhood at the same time. That's why people are so attached to it and why a lot of people still can't help but watch it despite JK Rowling, the writer, being controversial. There are lots of times in my childhood where it felt like Harry, Ron and Hermione were my only real friends.

The fire spell Dumbledore used was called Fiendfyre and it takes an incredibly powerful and knowledgeable witch or wizard to utilize safely. All after he had drank that poison. Mind blowing how much power and wisdom he had.

One of the things I didn't like about this movie was it didn't get into Voldemort's family history and a few other developments between characters that I loved in the books. So much that should have been in the films.
I will say... Expect the unexpected and know that there were things that happen that even the author wishes that she had written differently. Long live fan fiction.
No, Harry had no clue what that spell would do. It simply read: Sectumsempra - for enemies. Also in the book the 6th year students had just started to learn "Wordless Casting." Meaning to cast spells without speaking.

I’ll also tell you that this birth made him super attractive to everyone in a very supernatural way which is nobody at school could refuse him and he could weasel his way through everything to get what he wants. Everyone fell for him. Especially the teachers but also the great historian Bathilda Bagshot. His aunty or great aunt. He wasn’t easy to resist.

Professor Dumbledore's death was one of the most traumatic for Harry to witness. Right alongside his parents' murder at the hands of Voldemort when he was a year-old toddler, Cedric at the hands of Wormtail during the last task of the Triwizard Tournament in that graveyard, and Sirius dying by falling into the Veil in the Ministry of Magic. Also, for some convoluded reason, they ommited an explanation of what a bezoar is in the movies: Bezoars are stones taken from the stomachs of goats.
This will help with Snape: Salazar wasn’t as simple as some may think. The histories go far back to when people were being murdered and other crazy things between muggles and the wizard kind. He was actually desiring to create this place to not just be a place of learning and curating knowledge but also a fortress against intruders! It’s a longer history that goes into several articles and channels showing this. This was to protect the children and all of wizard kind. And SOME of the halfbloods long ago were used as pawns and essentially moles into the wizarding communities. Even back than sure not all hit it’s the ROOT of the judgment upon halfbloods and muggleborns. Those like Lucius are practicing a tradition that was once noble and had stronger roots and traditions. It’s so far from that now that most families have fallen into mania. But not his wife. His wife is very cool and is only protecting Malfoy and teach him the ways of that realm and how to act and behave etc etc. He’s more like his mother and loves his mother! she grew up in the Black family tree and her original tree was related to Racenclaws and had to change their name to something else to keep the line alive. Also. The basilisk was for that reason alone. To defend against intruders and infiltration. And perhaps even to weed out LEGIT moles who were bringing danger to wizardkind. Salazar also was the only one to match Rewena Ravenclaw’s mind and originally they were to be betrothed. But… ❤

Butterbeer recipe:
1 liter cream soda
2-3 tablespoons butter
2-3 tablespoons brown sugar
1 cup heavy whipping cream
4-5 Werther's Originals candies
Put cream soda in a pot to boil. Melt the butter and sugar together in a separate pot until the sugar dissolves, then pour into the boiling cream soda. Add the cream. Add the Werther's and stir until melted. Serve hot.
