Question. If I am just installing an additional chip of RAM in the empty slot. Do I need to remove the hard drive, as you did in the video? And when you removed the hard drive, it looks as if it just pops out. Are there really no ribbon cables? If so, that's pretty cool.
The reason I ask is, since I am not replacing the drive & only increasing the RAM, I'm wondering if I can just displace the fan unit, which covers the RAM slots, add the additional RAM & bypass the step of removing the drive altogether.
I ask this, because it looks as though, the hard blue plastic casing, housing the hard drive, has an additional branching square shaped design that clips to the motherboard, which might layover the fan unit & impede the accessibility to the fan casing clips which allows you to remove and reconnect the fan unit.
If so, no big deal. I've just learned from the past, if I can avoid messing with the hard drive altogether, then it's best to let it be, especially if it's been a long time or the computer has never been taken apart.

I am just so used to large & roomy towers. Laptops obviously are tighter & I don't even bother trying. These PC's though, are still relatively small as well, but Ive had zero experience, in terms of opening them up & knew it wouldn't just be popping in the RAM. Thanks again.
Hi. You don't need to remove the hard drive but it is easier to grab the fan. Dont worry I am sure that you will succeed, it is really easy :)
