- This is one of the most beautiful places in #Dakar, Senegal. #Goreeisland
After visiting 4 countries in 2021 in a bid to visit 21 countries in 2021, I sold everything I had in Nairobi Kenya and moved out of the country. I just bought a one way ticket. The future is uncertain, but I'm taking the risk.
Currently in Country no.5 #Senegal 🇸🇳

We love you from Zimbabwe 🇿🇼🇿🇼🇿🇼🇿🇼🇿🇼🇿🇼🇿🇼🇿🇼
my mum from senegal and father from Gambia I love this two countries peace
Thank you for allowing us to travel with you. What an interesting place. I am a Black American so it is so important for me to see where so many of us in the diaspora came from and where so many of us are returning. May God bless you for blessing us.
Senegal is so beautiful ❤️🇬🇭🇬🇭

Thanks:)
Im dwn with that
I can see how you make all your energy to show the world another face of Africa, thank you my daughter
You are welcome
So the goree island is a tourist center
@@AFRICANTIGRESS the music on ur background is a Mandinka song that make me wonder whether Kenya 🇰🇪 have Mandinka tribe as well?
I just love the culture of Africa and it's rich history it's so much that needs to be done to rebuild the continent and leave a legacy for our children to pass on peace and love to Africa
Thank you African Tigress for this your much Love 💕
The Dutch french British were in my mothers birth place Nature Island of Dominica I have Senegal DNA as well as a few other countries
I love Senegal my other sister Fatu Endoye is a senegeles ....nice people. Good job tough girl to show around our beautiful Africa
Thank you for sharing. So refreshing hearing a Senegalese narrate their story. This is where the real content is at!
Remember, avoid the temptations of buying heavy souvenirs as youre backpacking several nations 😆
Senegal looks fantastic! Much love to Senegalese and other African people from Sveti Stefan, Montenegro :))
Kudos to the tour guide. He is very knowledgeable, and he explains the sad history of Goree Island very well. Sadly, the West Coast of Africa played a dominant role in the Transatlantic slave trade.
Thanks African Tigress & THC for showing the world this historical place in Senegal.
I don't know man! ... Thanks for the content Ms. African Tigress. However, I mostly only heard "The French this, the Portuguese that, and the Dutch the other". Very little about our people. Almost like they never existed yet we know that they would've been the ones who laboured to build all those relics that your poorly educated tour guide attributes only to "the French, Dutch, Portuguese, etc etc". Very sad. Where are the stories about the role, trials, losses, victories and resilience of our people on Goree island. I needed more. Sorry. IJS! ....
most white americans have no idea of who we are, we are all "mixed", stories of struggles of pain and goodness. i am a descendant of senegal people on my mother's side and father's side, i am white. i dont know of the struggles my own parents suffered, i know they went through hunger, depression and war, this helped me to see a world my ancestors traveled through
FYI, Mariama BA is an elite school for young girls, the best are educated here before going to university in science Maths, etc ... They are at the top by the various competitions.
Senegal Is a gem,Have fallen in love with her.
Tigress, this was a powerful docu-vlog. To black Americans, Gorrie Island shall forever be known as a place where our ancestors endured unspeakable atrocities. Millions more were murdered there; while others were shackled to ships to endure a life of tragedy. This Vlog revealed their plight at Gorrie Island. May the ancestors be pleased with your work.
I must visit Senegal for sure. One love 🇸🇱🇸🇱🇸🇱
Can't wait to visit Sweet Salone
@@AFRICANTIGRESS No doubt the people will welcome you with open arms

@@Young_Salone will be there soon
The place has become a natural museum itself, I wish they keep it like this for future generation to see it. One time I heard that the Europeans and Americans came back to purchase this entire Goree Island in order to rebuild the island in modern fashion to become a new city and tourist attraction in 1980s but the Senegalese government refused. They could have regret selling this Island to the western world.
Sister I don't know how I feel if I go one day without watching your video....guys let's gather here and take selfie 🤳
Thank you darling ❤️
OMGosh, I enjoyed this so much, African Tigress. Thank You & The Happy Companion. An hour well spent watching!! This definitely drew in me to wanting to come visit Senegal.
You're welcome whenever u want.
This is touristic. I think the Senegalese have put in place a very good and conducive environment for tourism. I hope you will expose more of such tourism potentials of Senegal.
I'm in the U.S. but I had two older cousins who visited Goree Isle back in the 1990's. They enjoyed Senegal etc.
I am simply amazed by the diverse beauty that the continent has to offer. Loved the artwork made from sand. Wow. And Wow. Thank you so much sharing.
Keep up the good job raise our flag higher
Whoever gave Thumbs down is a big loser. Karma will come after him/her. But let's learn to forgive whoever did that by giving our girl, Ms African Tigress a big 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼❤❤

Sister great work you are doing, showing our motherland land to the Africans all over the world.
Thank you, let your reward be big as your service to the community.
I love to see your travels throughout Africa. I am thinking of moving t The Gambia, which is so close to Senegal. This will be one of the countries I visit.
You will definitely love it
You might need to spend more time here than you spent in Ethiopia. There's a lot to explore in Senegalese music, fashion, cuisine, etc. Show us how organized and clean the streets are, and the good nature of the people
I can't believe you visited Goree Island and did not show the slave dungeon. I have visited Dakar, Senegal and Goree Island and my visit to the slave dungeon was the most emotional and heart wrenching experience, not only for me but for everyone on the tour. I thing all Africans, in order to gain a better understanding of the descendants of those stolen from the continent to be slaves, should visit the slave dungeons of West Africa.
Check out my latest video. czcams.com/video/suSivLg9CkE/video.html
How can some dislike a video where do you even get the energy sometimes it good to appreciate an effort ....... Anyway keep going gal 💕💕 @fricantiress to the world .........
Thank you darling
Jealousy is the reason
A knowledgeable and eloquent guide. Kudos to him
Senegal is so underatted, this destination has more to offer, being part of songai empire and the famous madinka empire under samouri toure who contributed to the spread of Islam in west Africa, Senegal was also referred to French Sudan colony coz of the peoples dark complection and tall stature
It wasMali that freanch Sudan not Senegal
@@diawaraoussey9091 thanks for clarification
This was an amazing video, I loved how natural and beautiful the island is, the different colors of the sand, the artwork, the buildings and the history behind them, Africa is truly a “GEM” astonishingly beautiful, thanks for the tour, I am learning a lot from you, thanks for the tour👏👏👏👏🇹🇹

Very interesting I enjoyed watching from Tampa Florida .
Pure awesomeness, African history told by Africans. Keep on moving n educate us on the forgotten history. Hope people learn n read more about our history as told by our own eg Dr. Henry Clark, Diop , Dr. Ben etc etc.

Great dear, God bless you for doing such a wonderful job.thanks for uploading 💯❤
Roughly 40 years ago, Senegalese lawmakers took up the issue of converting many of the slave dungeons of Gorrie Island into a tourist mecca. Goree Island was and shall always be an international crime scene. Former slave dungeons have now been converted into hostels, government offices, and luxury residences for the elite. There was even debate 40 years ago on whether the stench of 400 years of human trafficking should be eliminated from the dungeons that would remain artifacts of the Atlantic slave trade. I am against any conversion of Goree Island's dungeons into hostels, clubs, restaurants, bars, souvenir shops, etc. Would Jews ever allow Aushwitz to become a mecca where tourists came to reside, buy souvenirs, eat, drink alcohol, and enjoy the party night life?
All Africa needs now is to keep the seed of Satan out ...which would be hard because now they go to Africa as tourist...first they pillage then they revisit as tourist.
When will I see the pink lake and the biggest statue in africa? And I’m living the organization on your page so far, makes you page look extra attractive, hard work must be paided of will more viewers and subscribers

Saw you at BAG!👏🏾👏🏾👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾❤
Woow African Tigress, I am so impressed. Thank you for taking us on this journey with you. Especially for English speakers like me, we know almost nothing about the Histories of Francophone nations. Africa is great!
Senegal is an epic place. Please do the cost of living, food, culture, housing etc. Thanks!!
Thank you for giving us the unadulterated truth/history of the various places you are traveling to. These are pieces of information our history that you do not get in a book or worse in a class room. What is put in a book is often tainted, modified by adding or subtracting Information and worse when someone write the history from their own point of view rather than being objective and writing the raw information. I so thank you for letting us here from people on the ground. Similarly, Go black 2 Africa shared an important piece of history about how Botswana built themselves scratch from someone on the ground. Can’t be more authentic. I want to personally acknowledge all you traveling you-tubers who are not only showcasing Africa, but are providing an invaluable source of information to the youth of today, because they are NOT going to get it in the classroom (for sure). I appreciate you all and just know that when you do things like this that benefit others through inspiration or otherwise, you are living a purposeful life.
I really enjoyed this! I am Kenyan but I have Senegalese relatives, long story ☺

The quality of photography/videography is pathetic..does not compliment the superb historical narration by the guide.
If nothing is done about the quality...well..I might just find something worthier my time.
