    Hello Russo
Initially, I would like to take this opportunity and thank you for sharing your knowledge and the excellent work you do, together with Ferrari.
Having said that, I would like to share something funny: here in Brazil, "Ciao" (we spell it as "Tchau") is used when saying goodbye and not like in Italian culture, at the beginning of the conversation.
The first time I watched one of your videos, the first thing I thought was: "does the video start at the end"?
    [laughs]

We used Ciao intentionally, because in other countries it's used as goodbye, too! But in Italian it is also used to say "Hello". The difference is the tone, which may be different in the two cases :)

Thanks for this, great way to actually explain this to a colleague. We were just having this discussion today!

Thank you very much for your Whiteboard series .... are pure gold!
I have a doubt... in a financial model .... my fact table contains all the movements.
On the other hand, the profit and loss dimension only contains the specific accounts that are part of this dimension.
This causes an invalid relationship.... I don't see a way to model this scenario otherwise.
The model works perfectly, but....Any ideas?
    Grazie mille¡¡¡¡

Thanks for the explanation. And, on a side note, I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one with serial killer handwriting on a whiteboard tablet :)
I don't think I will ever be able to write properly on them.

    Very useful, thank you.
I'm currently dealing with an issue where due to the size of the data model, I've been truncating tables using date filter for how much data to pull in. However some tables might have stranded rows, i.e. a row on one side of a relationship now no longer has a related value in another table where the first table is trying to link to historical data not currently in the data model.

    • @SQLBI

In that case the relationship is valid. If you want to identify unused rows on the one side you have to write your own query, but they have no side effects.

What exactly is meant by "limited relationships": inactive, m:n, to a direct query table on the one or the many side, ...?
