- In this week's vlog, we do some incredible things! We hike up an inactive volcano called Mount Batur to watch the sun rise over Mount Agung (an active volcano), AND we try Luwak coffee for the first time!
We start off the video by telling you the various items of clothing you need to bring on the hike. Temperatures reach around 10 Degrees Celsius at the top of the volcano with chilly, dusty winds so be sure to wear very warm clothing. Because our tour included a hot spring spa afterwards, as well as a coffee plantation tour, we had to pack bathing suits and a change of clothes as well.
The hike took us around 5 hours to complete. It could have been done faster but unfortunately Claire had Bali Belly to contend with. Regardless though, it was an unforgettable experience and we highly recommend that you do it! As with most of our activities and accommodation, we booked this experience through Airbnb once again. Luwak coffee is one of expensive coffee in indonesia. I have drink Luwak coffee also. I buy IDR9000 for 100 gram in Jakarta.

I stayed in the private villa of Toya Devasya there (toya devasya is the hotel/villas next to the pool where they had their hot spring bath - purple banners) 🤩😭 so comfy and relaxing after the early hike 🤣 the villas have their own jacuzzi and small pool. And during the hike it rained! so we were drenched and it was freeeeeezin cold 🥶, luckily we brought sandwiches from Toya devasya villa 🤣

Yup, all food and drink sold on the mountain is really expensive (but it is normal price up there). I mean, it is so difficult to go up to the mountain with a lot of food ingredients.

You must go to middle of java, you can see the one of biggest in the world buddhism statue and you all must go to Bromo vulcanic mountain wich is at East Java, you can see the sunrise above the vulcanic mountain of bromo, its more beautiful panorama rather than Mt. batur at Bali.... So you must try it

Me and my wife is going to Bali in July. I've booked a private guide for the Mount Batur hike :) Can't stand walking with that many unknown people :)
Regardless of having a private guide, you'll still be walking on the same path as everyone else
@@RhettandClaire could be same route. But i saw a video from some CZcamsrs who used him, and it looked like they left earlier than usual and during sunrise there was barely any people. Could be season based also. We're going in July, so there's probably people everywhere anyway 🤣 But i think 🤔 it's going to be a good trip nonetheless 😁🔥☀️

SimpsOn The Go Canggu and Ubud. Ubud is far from the coast but it is so beautiful up there and still very authentic, you must visit it. Canggu is the surfers/digital nomad area, we live just outside of Canggu in Kerobokan😊

Wait, so the people who charge you aren't your guides, right? They're really just people who make a living by setting a shop on a top of the mountain. If so, I can kinda understand the expensive food and drinks, otherwise it's straight up scam.
