Mist Survival was my first early access survival game back in 2018, it has had multiple map changes and upgrades, very much a work in progress which I doubt will ever be finished...I normally wait a year before trying it again...but then I now have Dayz thanks to you guys showcasing that :)

the kindness shown in these games is so heartwarming! i know its missing from games like dayz because once you're looted there isn't much else to do, but i love the comradery and teamwork aspect of these games. For me, that's the main draw

Pipo sounds like a very nice person. As a non-native english speaker I can feel he struggles a bit with communication, and his effort to talk with you is lovely. I try to communicate in english with some people in Deep Rock Galactic, also in english, and people tend to be super nice with non-native speakers around there too. I really enjoyed the Xera section of the video, very wholesome 😊
In fairness for Arizona Sunshine the game was released for the Oculus platforms on their store, not aimed towards steam so you cant see the actual player stats. The game actually sold like 300,000 copies and still sees regular players considering its only a 3-5 hour CooP campaign. But its all from on the Meta/Oculus devices that cant access steam games (minus PC Link) which is the stats your tracking in this video, the steam stats.
Mist is visually great and could give Dayz a run for its money if it were to change its trajectory, there are a few problems that need fixing first though 1. It's never finished/ always under development and every update is like your stepping into a completely different game 2. Like you said no co-op/online 3. Tends to be buggy. 4. Small map 5. Build times take way to long for base building. This is all IMO
that you SO MUCH for hard-baking in the subtitles into the video! as a hearing impaired person i always need subtitles, and the auto generated ones are so bad!
Also, I gotta mention, one of my good friends showed me the HOBO, but seriously, it got me so depressed and miserable, I cried when I returned home. Not a game for everyone, but a great concept for the strong minded out there.
The problem with Mist is/was, 1st we had a starter map, then it got an expansion, but only half of that map, which was empty. Then we got a brand new map with optimization problems, then upgrade to UE5, then the old map got remade (sort of) in UE5. So the dev went multiple ways, coop is being worked on, back then I played it a lot, made 3 bases haha, is fun, but yea... the fact that the dev goes too many directions, makes it take long. It's still being developed and some coming stuff looks amazing! I will play it again once it's optimised.
I played hobo tough life for about 40 hours and i found it enjoyable. some quests can be irritating and it can be daunting at first with how many factors you have to account for, but it's good and can be pretty funny.
I know your niche is Day Z but I wouldnt have minded watching you do other survival games, maybe team with Pipo at some point, weather in day Z or Xera. Also, I am surpirsed you havent reviewed Unturned, it is almost like a Minecraft med with Day Z or Rust and I have had such a fun time in multiple of my life periods playing it with friends.
Played XERA survival, me and a friend of mine were top fraggers on the server we were on until the cheaters started flooding the servers, PVP is not worth it in that game anymore. Also MIST Sruvival was supposed to release co-op like last year but got pushed up several times and i guess now its just a broken promise that will never happen.
No more room in hell has a special place in my heart along with unturned and cry of fear cause when i was a youngin i had no money as a 11 year old and i put so much time in i finally got a rog ally so i have a pc finally so i can play my old school pc games

That's interesting. I've played Mist Survival (got like 80hrs in it), but I've never experienced those bugs we've seen in the video. It acutally felt nice, I liked it, although I kinda feel like it can be maxed out after 40 hours (I played it in two etaps, first in 2020, then a new game in 2022). There are some good or nice looking mechanics, like building big houses, but it's useless, you don't need that, so the game can become boring quite 'soon'.
No more room in hell is a bit dated yes, BUT when you love source games in generell you should absolutley play it. Its a little bit like the story zombie maps in black ops 3 Custom zombies.
XERA is actually a really good game. I've played it before I bought DayZ. Amazing community too, I might come back to it when they eventually update the game.

You can chase zombies from Dying Light, and stalkers from Tlou sometimes run away after getting their ass kicked.
