Thank you Ben, this was very helpful! I noticed that you, and others who hand sharpen tend to keep your elbows in, close to the body while sharpening. Turns out that had been my problem! The farther my elbows got from my body, the less consistent with my angles I became, no matter how careful I tried to be. I guess 50 doesn't make me an old dog just yet if I can still learn a new trick.

Bit off topic but I was recently reminded that it's 10yrs since I bought a belt of you guys at the Bushcraft show in the Lake District- 2011. Worn every day for 10 years with some serious hard use and still going strong....just thought I'd let you know 👍👊

Nice. Haven’t been here for awhile and I love the Crook knife protection strap. Like anything ongoing maintenance is The key, I guess if I keep strop and fine together with my kit I’m more likely to do it, thanks again great advice

Very nice. I will be making some new radius edged strops when I get home from work. I need to prepare for the arrival of my new mocotaugan! Cheers 😎

Ben, do you have any tips for maintaining your strips? How often should the Tormek paste/metal residue be scraped out, if at all. Also, how often to you typically apply Tormek to the strop when using it regular (daily)?

Excellent! How do you feel about autosol? Similar to tormek but much easier to get in canada

Hi. Bought my first Mora carbon. Nervous to sharpen. To maintain the edge what grade stone do you recommend. Thanks
