It's the first time I saw that type of fitting. All regulators I have used so far (those that were on the dive boats for grabs) had a counter pressure screw. Is that fitting compatible with standard tank valves?
Are you referring to the DIN version of the 1st stage? I've always preferred DIN 1st stages over the yoke/international type fitting, but that just me. When using DIN you don't need the insert that is used in the valve of the tank.
Black Manta Photography well yoke was all I have known so far. I just watched some videos and found out that you can fit a DIN regulator to a yoke tank with an adapter so ok one more thing learned. Will be getting myself a DIN regulator AND a DIN -> Yoke adapter!
Murat Sinan Engin you’ll find that almost all dive centres will use a standard DIN valve on their tanks. An insert is placed in the valve for yoke to be used. It’s definitely the way forward!! 👍🏻
I saw this shared after the DEMA show last year. Only a concept design currently as far as I'm aware, but it does raise tons of questions... How do you equalise if you need to hold your nose? How do you deal with a 2nd source/redundant air if you are out of air? What is you need to air share with a buddy due to significant failure? Does this impair your hearing underwater? I'm just a bit apprehensive with having something that weighs nearly 5kg on my head, and equally nervous about having these O2 cylinder cartridges strapped to my head too!!
@@muratsinanengin9773 it will be interesting to see where this development gets to - is this diving of the future?? Maybe? But in the 1980's they said we'd be in flying cars by the 21st century. We're now 20 years into the 21st century and my wheels are still firmly on the ground! :)
Black Manta Photography well Richard, I’m a doctor for two decades now, and you have no idea how everyone who made a development claimed to revolutionize medicine and would change our practice forever but at the end of the day... they just didn’t. :-))
@@muratsinanengin9773 so true - rebreathers were revolutionary when released - they've been around for decades now, but still not mainstream enough to have replaced open circuit regulators.

Please tell me if this regulator is a good regulator in 2024 despite having all plastic parts and if it will work well with the MK19?
I bought one for my dive trip last July and it worked perfectly. I couldn't recommend a better regulator system.

they will both deliver exceptional performance in the warm waters of the Red Sea, but I'd look at the s620ti with MK25. An excellent combination!
