Wow, a lot of incorrect bowling observations in this comment section. This is not how you should be spinning a bowling ball, this is the reverse wrist action of a proper throw.
The technique shown is how most amateurs think the pros add spin, by pulling up on the ball with your fingers. This is how you break a finger and get horrible consistency.
The proper technique is the reverse of this throw (admittedly proper technique is all but impossible with only two fingers and one hand but still...) the fingers should be moving from up to down, it's like a reverse basketball shot, cupped wrist, quickly dropped at the end of the throw is how you make revs. There is absolutely no pushing with the fingers when you properly hook.
FYI I'm a 200 avg bowler
As an actual bowler I actually found this to be quite interesting believe it or not because I don’t really see back angles in slow motiob

I throw a bowling ball the good-old fashioned way of aiming, throwing with the slightest bit of hook, but no matter how I throw it, every damn time my ring finger snaps.

Actually, professional bowlers, like myself, say hook, not spin or curve. Because, there is a different technique that is named “spinning the ball,” but that is “hooking the ball.”
I myself am a 2 finger bowler and I can say, if you have no experience with this specific technique, ya might wanna leave it to those who have the experience. Also that wasn’t a strike, that was a spare. Unless the indicator lights are messed up that was a spare.
