I admit I used to be a camping snob and figured if you weren't hiking out with everything on your back, it wasn't really camping. But you & Bruce have converted me. Car camping, glamping, or backpacking, it's ALL good. What counts is getting out in nature!

I put a huge 6-person tent in my backyard and some nights my boys and I will just sleep out there.

Oh my goodness that Brucie’s cuteness absolutely kills me!!! He so loves camping with you!! I’m one who used to love camping then was diagnosed with MS in 2013 so pretty much everything I loved to do came to a screeching halt but watching you and Mav makes me realize I probably can still camp and I really really want to go this summer!! I also have to say I love seeing all the mist coming up in the drone footage. Looks so mystical!!!

I went on my first camping trip last week. 3 nights..it rained the 1st night, but I'm happy to say my tent held up. The second night was cold, but I was prepared thanks to your videos. I love that tent! It has so much room. Hey Brucey 👋🏾❤️

Such a brave bush Robin came in to give Brandt encouragement as he overcomes…and he will!! Coincidence? I think not. This trip was a blessing to anyone wanting to get out into the wilderness that can’t or shouldn’t backpack in. Appliances lying about the house turned cooking into multi-task adventure. Solar lights kept darkness at bay for pit stops. No excuses. Age, infirmities or lockdowns, you can get out. Think outside your box and go. Thanks again.
This reminds me of a camping 'adventure' many years ago. Our friend took us to a "Yogi Bear' camp grounds... where every site had an elec. outlet.
Our friend had all these electrical gadgets... a grill, Mr. Coffee, spot lights.. it was so bizarre to us 'natural' campers. We dubbed him Mr. Electric! So here we are now, 20+ years later.. watching you plug everything in to your car.. and checking in to satellites... What a brave new world. So much for smoke signals, flags, and mirrors. 😝
PS.. He even brings the mega pizza cutter! 🍕Omg.. too funny. 🤣🤣🤣

I am going camping for 4 days starting on Monday. Rain is forecasted every day. Before I would have canceled my site but I am keeping my reservation because I have watched so many of your videos. Your experiences have given me good tips and confidence to give it a try, so thanks for that. I am going by myself so my biggest worry is being able to reach high enough to get the tarp high enough, but I can use the picnic table or something 😄

AudgE,you are right. Put a pole in midfle of table .works like a charm. Also if you can find or get a small piece of ASTRO turf. Put it under your table where your feet rest.cuts down on muddy shoes/feet

I just can't say enough how much I love Bruce. I know he's passed away now but he really is just the sweetest, smartest, kindest disposition in a dog. Such a gem I always want to be playing with him or hugging him.

I homeschool my grandchildren and another child, ages 5-14. I will be taking them camping for outdoor school soon. They will be learning camp set up, cooking, and basic outdoor skills. I can't wait, and I hope they make memories to last a lifetime. Keep up with the "long" videos, I love them!

What you did is what we in the US call glamping...its camping with the glorious things you'd have at home.
That's the only way I'd camp any more. When you pass 65, your bones or at least mine, just can't take the rough and tumble they use to take.
I'm so glad you can have service for a cell phone now while out. It makes it not so troublesome. Cause you never know what can happen.
I'm hoping now maybe Ann can go with you a few times, doesn't have to be on camera, just that she can go with you sometime.

Dropping stuff... great recovery! You might pick up an anti-skid mat (cut to your desired size) when you use a slick surface as a table or work surface. Keep it with your kitchen gear. It will roll or fold up nicely.

I sub to about 10 other camping, bushcraft, etc CZcamsrs and honestly, I love love love that your videos are more than an hour long. Sometimes, after coming home from a long day, your videos are a great stress relief and I genuinely enjoy kicking back and pretending that it's me going on those camping adventures. Like you said, if you don't like it, don't watch it. Out of sight, out of mind. I think it reflects worse on the individual that comments anything negative about any one thing they don't agree with that has zero bearing on their lives.
Anyways, keep it up! I always look forward to watching your videos. Maybe one day, soon, I'll take all this knowledge from your experiences and go camping on my own.

Tony, I enjoy your style. The good, the bad and the ugly. Real life camping, failing gear, bad weather and everything else. You don't seem to hide any of it and that is a good thing for me. I am not sure why someone would complain, there are chapters you can jump to if that is what we want to do. When I was a kid we got 2 holidays a year (one mum chose and one dad chose) and mum chose the UK lake district every time, a big tent and basic gear, this was the 70's after all lol. You remind me of those holidays, rain, mud, wet dog in the tent and all. Thank you for all the effort you put into your video's
I love your videos! I love that they are 2-3 hours long. The longer the better! I love to go camping but I’ve been diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome and my exhaustion has taken a turn for the worse so I’m unable to go anymore. Watching you gives me the experience without expending my energy. So thank you so much for taking us along with you and Bruce. I’ve had 2 Border Collies in my life and they are the best dogs.
Can I ask who else you follow that has camping videos? I’m stuck at home and would love to follow more campers. You’ve mentioned a Steve and a Matt or Max and a Luke. ? I’d love to be able to follow others and live life through you all while you camp and I can’t. Thank you again. You have been a lifesaver and kept me sane while figuring out how to live with this life sucking exhaustion.
