Seriously, that's so messed up for an employee to want to be reminded of why they're spending their days slaving away in an office!
i'm with barbara, personal stuff looks awful in an office! Though, I'd say the same about a home too lol.
I can see the argument on both sides... having bunch of picture frames on your desk does look a bit tacky and just swallows up desk space and kinda feels like your making your own home tent at work, BUT if you cover your desk with a glass or plastic panel and put your pictures under it then I can see it looking more clean for an office desk space.

This video not only just sold me on this product, but it changed my life. My new goal in life is to get a job working for Barbara in one of her perfect offices, buy a shitload of these, put them on every surface I can, and prop framed pictures of her family on them.
Working for Barbara must be the must depressing thing ever. I poke fun at her for never giving good reasons to always say "I'm out", but always assumed she was kinda "fun". Apparently I was very wrong

I didn't. I knew she was a bitch from when she tore into the girl who created "Wanna date?" accusing her of being a spoiled brat who had everything handed to her. She even said the girl was going to fail because she didn't HAVE to make it, her back wasn't against the wall. Barbara did it only because the girl wasn't going to go homeless if her business failed. The girl made it clear she worked hard and didn't have anything handed to her. Also Mark gave Barbara the best comeback in my opinion, in such a subtle manner. He said "I disagree with Barbara, because if that were true none of our kids would ever be successful." or something against those lines.
Anyways, after that episode I just cannot like Barbara at all.

The price is too high, and Lori's right about consumers who buy a product without thinking when the price is at $99.99, as opposed to over $100.00, and once people see the price costs over $99. the average buyer won't pay.
I like their product, and it can be used for many other reasons than an office desk.
Display, counters in cafes, coffee shops, lines, almost anywhere, shelving, and so forth. I agree it is too high, but it could have tons of uses.

it's not a desk, it's a window accessory. Pitch it as a window accessory, and people will love it.
For real. If it were less expensive I'd attach it to my windows and put plants on it. But I'm not gonna spend 200 bucks to give a plant some light.
I do agree the price point needs to come down to $99 as one of the sharks stated and they will sell lots of them. I see it as an accessory but not a main desk. People will not want to pay $250+ but $99 is very appealing for what you get.
I actually went to their website to see if they had one large enough to use as a desk in my apartment. There weren’t any even close to large enough to fit a laptop, monitor, keyboard and mouse. So for those reasons, Im out.

The reason he needed help on top and off of the desk is because if he applied pressure on 1 foot at a time it would’ve shattered the product lol.
Exactly correct, He centered his feet on each one as well, evenly distributing the forces. I can see people leaning on this over time and causing injuries. Its $265 for a shelf, this is for people who do not want to set up shelves with tools or want to put holes in their walls.

Back then there weren't as many options. Heck I bought my adjustable standing desk way back in 2014 and it was $1,000. But you're still right, nowadays those numbers wouldn't work for people. They would need to drop down to ~$125 to even be competitive.
Congrats you bought the cheapest standing desk in existence, don't complain when it falls apart in 2 years.
Thats about right in pricing. Even looking at Ikea as a budget option, it was $350 entry point, $600 for more space and electric. Yes you can get a crap $200 desk from Amazon which I did, but then I needed to buy $200 tabletop as well.

It seems hard to believe but as a video creator and editor myself I can tell you a lot goes into editing these
...you don't need to be an editor to know they edit the crap out of this show. These are 2 hr pitches shortened to 10-15 min of airtime.
I think it was more because Lori is a powerhouse at moving novelty items, as a full partner she would definitely get them out the gate and rake in cash. But I think the entrepreneurs want it to be taken seriously as an ongoing item for offices and flexible spaces, not hawked on QVC or the like.
I feel like this is one of the few times Kevin didn't get clowned on by the entrepreneurs. He had a significantly more advantageous offer materialistically.

Great for properties that don't allow holes in walls when renting. Also a lot more convenient than a book shelf unit. But I'm sure there are cheaper shelves available.
Never heard of having tendonitis aka RSI from sitting in any office job before (below the waist), so gotta wonder what Mike was doing at his desk lol. They would do better to market them as a temporary desk/shelf imo since a normal desk also contains draws and a larger top area to include paperwork, phones, stationery, 2nd monitor etc in a normal office job. Plus no office worker wants to stand for the whole day and there are already height adjustable desks that cost about the same price where you don't have to take the contents off when raising/lowering it.
Sadly Barbara didn't take into consideration of what people put on their desks when she designed her offices which was her own fault that it didn't work how she envisioned.
Watch the episode of say yes to the dress with barbara in it. The bride was absolutely stunning. All of barbara comments reeked of jealous old woman who covers her b behavior with I am just joking. Not a fan after seeing how she treated that young woman.

I think they need to market them not as just desks, but as shelves too. Just for EASE OF INSTALL alone, I would want one for my shower. If I could get it for under $150, I'd definitely splurge and get it. Just to put all the shampoo/conditioner/stuff on.
