So fun to see these first impressions of 90fps. I knew you'd like it for your style of freestyle. Didn't you try doing high camera angle freestyle for a while too?
Oh yeah it’s great! I still fly pretty high angle for freestyle 40-50ish but bump it up higher sometime to get trippy hahah!
Just received 90FPS cameras today. Got the googles 2 days ago. Been flying the HDZero unit on my Fat Shark HDO2s for the past few months. Should have my new build done by tomorrow. Thanks for the review! I like your reaction to the experience!

Dude I could tell you were having a hard time explining the experience. And that it was so good that you kept getting sucked back in and losing your train of thought. I knew you'd feel the difference and see the major benefits that the responsiveness of this setup can bring not only to your racing, but to your freestyle as well. I'm stoked to get more of these things myself and have all my racers running them. May even try one out on freestyle along with you.

@@GrauFPV HA HA HA HA HA!!!! Yea it's definitely good enough to do that. I hate telling people that too. Because I always hate when those fatsnail fanboys say. "you can't judge it until you try it" Because that's simply not true. But you REALLY can't get the experience of 90fps feeling through watching a recorded video, it's something you have to feel and experience for yourself to really understand.
Cool seeing your first impressions, I don’t even race or fly extremely fast and I could tell right away. Then trying 60fps again right after and you’re like whoa, major difference. Super locked and smooth

Haha I love it! It's honestly a full experience. I say it's like judging a 4d movie without sitting in the seat with the 3d glasses. You can't judge the experience from looking at dvr as it's truly felt in the experience

I'm a dji pilot, but I wanted a new pair of analog goggles for my tiny whoops. When the price dropped on the HD zero goggles I went ahead and order the race bundle. Just because I wanted to see how this 90fps experience is.

Yeah looks really good tbh.
The next step would be getting the lens distortion under control so what your seeing remains consistent from corner to corner.
I wonder if it would be possible to have the resolution and framerate switchable during flight?
HDZero sell a different lens for this camera that doesn’t have the distortion
I reason that the process of vision is latency sensitive is because of evolutionary predator/prey relationships. Our brains ability to render understandable color images should be though of as “post processing” i.e. we need to think about what we see to understand it. Professional colorists understand how our brains can “adjust” what we see in terms of color casts, etc. (remember the Claritin commercials where the TV screen was peeled back to show a clearer image). The sensitivity to latency may be a more core vision process and therefore hard to put into words. I’m installing my 90fps cameras today. Thanks Carl and team!

Would you take this over the dji o3? Nice review 👌
For strictly feel then yes it’s miles above any other system, but the only thing holding me to dji is the o3 simply because you can get good enough video that you don’t need an action cam strapped on top for freestyle footage. Mainly for me hdzero is going to be primarily for racing and really fast basher freestyle stuff.

how come your 1 antenna is not showing connection?
I was sitting in the car so I’m sure that one was just slightly blocked but it was still getting full bars when less blocked
Are you running the freestyle vtx or the race?
I’ve got the freestyle vtx in this one but I have race vtx in my racers

@@kosmonautfpv4920 indeed I pretty much always just leave it at 1watt it’s not the level of penetration that dji has but it’s totally usable and that 90fps is just next level!
