Non-league football is 10 times better than the premier league, there is a sense of togetherness when supporting a non-league club, if you are a United fan you don't get that sense of togetherness.
You've never took step in the kop
They bring different things to the table. I love Everton with all my heart and there is definitely a sense of togetherness at Goodison Park and brotherhood with other Evertonians, but non-league football has other merits, it's more real, you see the same fans week in week out wherever you stand and you are much closer to it all in general.
yea the togetherness is just so much more dominant in a non league or very low league club since its the same people every week and you get to get much closer to the actual essence of the game than you do in say the superliga (my country's top league) or the Barkley premiers league
That made zero sense.
So many people are like "non-league football is important and big too!" But they're the same people that turn around and call the MLS a "joke" because it is not as big as the Premier League! I'm confused! Is it better to be smaller, have not as good/not professional players, and a small fan base or to be bigger, have great talents, and have massive stadiums, Brits?
Love these videos and think Eli's probably your best presenter, you can see how much he loves making the videos & watching the games
Bullshit Man 100%
Come on down to support Fisher FC on 18th October, Eli, Maya, Daniel Cutting, Poet and Vuj will all be down there!
Would do, but I only support good teams
squeaker99 Gloreh hun'a'
squeaker99 That is the definition of a plastic fan comment
*a good team
I play for seaford town u16 and on that actual pitch
I think Copa 90 should set up a fundraising page where the Copa Fam can donate and share the page all across social media to get Fisher FC home
I support Manchester United, they aren't my local club but they are the club i fell in love with at a young age. But i love these grassroots football clubs, they show the community side of football, where everyone gets together and shows their love for the beautiful game. More than just a game.
Being a Manchester United fan, I love the big stadiums and amazing quality in teams of the premier league. But this, this is why I love the beautiful game so much. I got goosebumps when the guy said my life referring to what the club means to him. The idea that fans, players, coaches, and board members can be a family like this is the essence of football. I could watch this video a million times over, and I would still be in awe of the most amazing sport ever created.
The atmosphere of big stadiums is always underwhelming
Wish my local team would get a stand. Used to play for that club with my friends since I was 5. Busted my knee badly when I was 16 so I quit and im 21 now. Still come every weekend as a supporter. And yet it still looks exactly the same as when I was 5.
Brilliant video. Love how you've gone to check out your local non league team, people like Les who've been involved in Fisher for about 65 years is what makes football. I'd love it if you guys followed Fisher forever, bit of a pipe dream but would be amazing to see.
8:50 what a fucking gooal!
Noticed fisher have no sponsor on the kit, copa90 logo wouldn't look to shabby
i really liked this. everyone is like a family and so welcoming. The whole atmosphere is great. i would love to be part of this, but i'm in america :(
I have the same issue... Such a great video, Eli gets me right in my football feels
i imagine minor League baseball would be your equivalent?
yeah except minor league baseball is just awful... Its major league baseball without the atmosphere which is basically the only reason i go to baseball games.
andrewkgsmith Not my town in particular, but the minor league football team for my area is the Mississippi Storm. They play in the NPSL (National Premier Soccer League) which is technically the same level of league 2 in England, but more towards the equivalent of a non-league club in terms of grounds, funding, skill level, etc. Unfortunately supporter passion is nonexistent because it was only founded in 2011, but mainly because it's America and no one else gives a shit about football except for the World Cup.
andrewkgsmith Nah, the lower tiers of football here in the States would be the equivalent. Baseball is boring anyways.
Came back to this video to thank copa90, even though they will probably never see it. 4-5 years ago, I had never even heard of non league football, as I’m an American. This video made me fall in love with non league football. Enough so that I started following non league as much as a could. Eventually I actually became a Fisher FC fan, and I run a podcast and a (very small) American supporters group for the team. So once again, thank you copa90. You helped me discover my true passion in life, Fisher and non league football.
Just watching it, you can sense the family feel around the club. Amazing.
This is great. Just today, the BBC did a piece on how grass roots footie in the UK is in tatters. Get out there and support your local team. Come on you Gulls!
I'm Scottish and #supportmylocalteam which is st Johnstone fc.i live 15 mins away from the ground and go to every game I can.even though I we are a first division team I get a sense of passion ecspecially at away
Falkirk FC.
Reminds me a lot of the foundations in Australia. Nsw Premier league and Victorian Premier league, the teams with the real history have been let to rot while the A-league pushes phoney franchises in the hopes of success. Support your local team.
i watch my mates at Yagoona Lions FC every week and i find in 100x more entertaining than shit house a-league
MAKEDONIJA! hahaha yagoona lions I'm at rockdale every week watching the new premier league so there you go
HAHAHAHA had a feeling you would know about Yagoona
Top club yagoona! i might actually play for them next year haha
Sydney United 58 FC
That Scissor kick tho!
i live in Gloucester and my local team is Tuffley Rovers. we recently played an F.A vase game to progress in to the first round proper so if we keep progressing we may meet fisher FC in the later rounds. we are currently 3rd in the Hellenic league and as well as having great fans we do a lot of work in the community. I think were quite far off from the conference but hopefully in my life time we will get there. Non-league football is great and can provide some good entertainment too.
Awesome win,Awesome Volleyed Goal, well done Fisher F.C.
Wow, whata goal you guys at copa90 captured, I think the boys at fisher really will enjoyed that!
Remember watching the old Fisher athletic at Surrey Docks. Over 4000 for the visit of promoted Barnet and barely over 100 for the visit of Boston Utd in the same season. Enjoyed banter with Tommy Docherty when he visited on his first game with Altrincham. They were regarded as a rising force in non league football but were entirely financed by drug money from their dealing chairman. A football league club made an offer for one player and he refused because his wages as a part-timer at Fisher were higher than as a pro at the would-be buyer - and they were on top of his full time wages. The old joke was "I thought the penalty for pushing was an indirect free kick until I played for Fisher." Once their chairman was convicted, they plummetted like a stone.
I really wish I could go but I live in the USA. Ill be rooting for them though! Go Fisher FC!
Fantastic production and video. Fisher FC are one very lucky club to have you guys on board, hope you get a lot down this weekend! Off to Shortwood tonight for the FA Cup 3rd qualifying replay with our team Bath City FC
Great video and cheers for supporting your local team.
It's quite the same in my own country. I support a team which has 300-400 trust fans and always we 're the underdogs. We may win the top team of the division and next week lose or draw with a bottom table team. That's why I love football!!
Went to Fisher Athletic couple of times in early 90s watching Runcorn, Great to see them trying to get back home
Best copa90 episode so far
Love this video. Great job copa90
Can't believe that football pitch ( Seaford ) is about 5 mins from my house and now on youtube!
I didn't know anything about the history of the club and i play for the under 18's at Fisher, love what copa90 are doing though

You make good emotionally moving videos.
I love the fact that they are drinking wine out of proper wine glasses on the terraces
Where he is standing at the beginning i was born in that exact area!! Crazy!
That 4th goal was a belter though
This was really beautiful.
Great finishes
Fisher should be in a league for sure
i really like watching by local club who are in the blue square south
Continue this please!
6th I was waiting for this all day
My local team is Detroit City FC yet they are far away. Just shows not alot of football teams exist in the USA
I love going to watch non-league football and visiting new grounds and areas. As an Orient fan I'll have to get more used to it now, but whenever the O's are away and I don't go I sometimes pop down to Fisher who are my closest team. As a youngster in the 80s and 90s I always thought of Fisher Athletic as somewhat of a giant in non-league and it's sad to see that they folded and now play several leagues below where they were. It's such a shame that will all the money at the top end of football that any of these non-league clubs can go bust.
watching this wonderful video in 2017 and fisher fc has moved to their new own stadium
I'm 13 and captain of my local club harefield
it's a great video. in addition to what has already been said, I'd like to add that the heart of football is also 1) football academies 2) futsal. here in London the futsal scene is growing, however, there are problems associated with this growth specific to this country. Now I've seen some more evidence of why it's so hard to develop futsal in England and in London. I would be happy to visit the stadium and hang out, but I saw this too late.
top class goal.
I support my non local team Barcelona they are amazing !!!
I also play for My local team Asnæs bk This club made a talent Christian Poulsen
My local is bohemians, we've produced fuck all, haha

Yeovil?
Barnsley
oh is saw yt so i just thought Yeovil. See you in Barnsley.
I was therein their final match in the Conference when they drew over 4,000 for a visit by Barnet (who won to be promoted to the league). I was also there when they drew just over 100 for a visit from Boston Utd in the same season. Sorry to hear what happened to them - a consequence of having a drug dealer as a chairman - but nice to see them on the rise again.
Start a justgiving page or something
My local team is chelmsford city and they play in skill south
hey copa how about doing a series about non league teams to show off some more of the heart that is within football

oops
My local club is Arundel FC
Please can you raise awareness for hereford united supporters club trying to buy the club to keep the club from being dissolved
as a Rushden and Diamonds fan, I hope it works out for you better than it did for us. Good luck
my closest is rangers but i hate them i am a celtic fna
did they ever get back to their home??
As a non league fan (home and away with Wealdstone) it annoys me how people outside non league think of it because it's far better than "supporting" Man United by watching them on Sky every week and you can see that from this video. Provided you can find a team with a decent following the atmosphere is often far better than the maifactured PL atmospheres because it's far more personal at this level and everyone knows everyone
