Any bikes can go track days but small amounts talented riders able to bringing out full potential of the modern bikes performance.
600/700/800cc is the best track bike because they cheap , easier repair , lighter weight , simpler electronic and more fun

Best looking new bike on the market, love it. As long as it performs half as good as it looks your on a winner as most people with that much cash aren't going to be chasing ultimate laptimes.

Hi Bob, thank you, this is a great video! I always get excited when hearing thoughts from people who have only done a few track days. As a person who hasn’t done any as I raced for around 10 years, with Phillip Island being my home racetrack (500+ laps during practice, qualifying and racing). The weekend just gone I had an employee do his first track day at PI and he’s still talking about it. I’m now feeling the pressure to do “my first track day” and this video has helped. Thanks again and keep up the great work. 👍😎🇦🇺

Nice video, thanks. The big takeaway for me from this is the lack of any real expertise or experience of all of these 'influencers' and the disproportionate amount of sway they have on a potential customers decision. I don't mean to be disrespectful to any of you, but having watched a lot of reviews I realised that you all basically say the same things about a certain bike, as if you are reading from a press release script, and that no one ever says anything bad. I did notice something recently, you reviewed the Scram 411 and gave it the usual glowing praise, then in a later video about upcoming new bikes, you pretty much panned it for its lack of power, quite a u turn!. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy seeing the new bikes and like the banter etc. but I am very aware now that this is nothing more than entertainment.

A company could create one of the most powerful and premium sport machines, fitted with some of the greatest and latest motorcycle technology in the entire world.......and people literally complain when nobody has anything bad to say about it 🤦‍♂️
It's probably safe to say an "ultimate track machine" isn't going to receive bad marks during a TRACK day. But what do i know. Some of you commenters thrive on negativity and its sad. A bike could be #1 in 100 different categories, but if it does 1 little thing wrong people start losing their minds
I personally loved this video, and bravo to Triumph for making one of the most technologically advanced sport bikes out there today!

Interesting to see such a broad perspective in one video. Having done quite a bit of track driving in cars over the past decade or two I'd love to take my bike on track. My Thruxton R is far from the ideal track bike, but I'd still like to try it somewhere I know well like Oulton Park or Anglesey just for the fun factor. I guess if it was something I wanted to do a lot of the RR would be a very tempting proposition, but I'd need to see if I could live with it on the road before parting with my beloved Thruxton R.

My dream bikes which i choose for a track day will be the triumph Daytona, KTM 1290 super Duke, Ect.
This new speed triple RR is an absolutely gorgeous looking bike. A Good choice between a Super sport and a naked bike. Speed triple1200 RS is great bike on track and the 1200RR take forward that approach by giving more aerodynamics, sportiness.

  • @wyattoutlaw2370

I don’t think riders will be choosing this bike based on rider level. A good rider on a Speed Triple RR could easily outpace a mediocre rider on a Ducati or similar super sport.
It’s about the feeling you get from the bike ie the chemistry between the rider and machine that will decide whether it’s for you. Personally, I would rather have one of these over any other super sport just for the grin it puts on your face when you overtake a 200+ hp race replica ‘insert super sport bike name here’ on an outside line.
    Perfect bike.

Ok I may be crazy here, but I have seen many videos on this bike now and what I have noticed is riders don't seem to get good lean angles out of the bike. Every track ride seems very upright and point and shoot. I would think with this "amazing" ohlins suspension that you should be able to get this bike on it's ear a little more.

What I don't like about my old 1050 is top end power on the freeway and no wind screen. I'm leaning towards this bike over the RS because of the extra features and single headlight but what's keeping me from getting it is the lower riding position since I ride mostly streets.

I'm so glad Triumph made this bike, best looking Speed Triple since the Mk.1, beautifully specced, beautifully finished and it gets rave reviews from everyone who rides it, what's NOT to like? Well no one's buying it, which is why Total Triumph the UK's number one Triumph dealer is offering them at a £2K discount I've never seen that on a brand new model before!
