    A review of the Munchkin High Speed Bottle Warmer by Maddie's Daddie. Instructions on how to warm a baby bottle is included as part of this video. It may not be the best bottle warmer, but it does the job well enough.
    We discuss the use of the high speed bottle warmer, how it uses steam, which maintains the nutrients of the contents (milk), using a green tommee tippee bottle. This warmer can warm formula, breast milk, baby food, jars, and more.

      Ivelice Roman You are very welcome! The letters on the measuring cup match up to a chart in the instruction manual. For example, a 4 ounce bottle might need to have the water from the measuring cup to be at the C line. Try this: www.manualslib.com/manual/680335/Munchkin-High-Speed-Bottle-Warmer.html?page=3#manual

    • @pammie1412
      @pammie1412 Před 7 lety +1

      Wow, that was fast, LOL Awesome, thanks so much. One more question.. sometimes we make a 2 oz because the baby just seems to want more, there are no water measurements for a 2 oz. What do you recommend? He probably won't be taking extra 2 oz too much longer, he's 7 weeks, so I think we will be giving him more later anyways. Thanks so much for your help!

    • @MaddiesDaddy
      @MaddiesDaddy  Před 7 lety

      +Pamela Lopez Haha - I'm rarely this fast to respond but the timing was good. Anyway, I have found with this Warmer that trial and error is the best way to figure out how much water to use. Maybe start out using something between the lowest line and empty and see if that's warm enough (or too warm) for a 2 oz. bottle. Then you can adjust from there. Use the measurements as a guide as they can vary from altitude and product by a margin. It's a good Warmer but it's a good idea to test it each time. Thanks again for watching - we are happy to help!

    • @MaddiesDaddy
      @MaddiesDaddy  Před 6 lety

      I should probably make a separate video on this alone - it's a very confusing thing. I think the best thing to do is just start with the least amount of water and work your way to the letter on the measuring cup that works best for your baby. I usually used 2 different letters...one for refrigerated bottles and one for room temperature bottles. It can also vary depending on what it is you are warming up...trial and error works best.

      @MaddiesDaddy  Před 4 lety

      You can leave the nipple on - if there is a venting system in your bottle, take that out. Don’t leave the plastic cover on it - it’s going to need some way to vent air out of the bottle as it heats.

    • @MaddiesDaddy
      @MaddiesDaddy  Před 7 lety +1

      Patrick Monis Thanks for politely asking that question 😀 It is a misconception that the hat/helmet that Maddie is wearing is for protection. While it appears to be for protection, it is actually used to correct the shape of her head. This is called Plagiocephaly and the helmet is called a DocBand created by cranialtech.com - it is a lot like wearing braces but they reshape the foam inside the helmet about once a week as their heads quickly grow. I really should make a video on that. Also I'm glad you enjoyed the review. Please consider subscribing to our channel if you like what we're doing! 😀

    • @MaddiesDaddy
      @MaddiesDaddy  Před 7 lety

      +Darren Moose Jr Hi Darren! That's a really good question that I'm unsure of the answer to exactly. A suggestion however is to look at the packaging for your liners and see what temperature they can reach before becoming damaged. I will tell you this warmer uses steam so it gets hot enough to boil the small amount of water - 212 degrees will boil water and is the normal temperature of steam.

      You add water each time - the water will evaporate each time you use it, so you don’t need to pour it out.

    • @MaddiesDaddy

      Yes it does that but I don’t think it should do it every time - that color your seeing is from the heating element reacting with the water called “scaling” - as far as smell, is should be slight - if it’s really potent, I’d replace it.

    • @MaddiesDaddy
      @MaddiesDaddy  Před 7 lety +1

      Hi there, first of all, thanks for watching my video and commenting! It's hard for me to say whether or not this bottle warmer is worth it for a teen on a budget...what I will tell you is that it has saved us a lot of time trying to warm bottles in the middle of the night - we were originally having to heat the water on the stove, which took a lot of time and frustrated a baby that wanted her bottle. It will definitely help in those situations where a bottle is needed quickly and this warmer is a lot less expensive than another product we used...a bottle genie that kept the water warm and mixed the formula with the water. The thing we ultimately ended up doing with the bottle warmer was using it when we would travel as it is not too bulky. Hope this helps make your decision just a little easier. Definitely check other reviews if you are still uncertain. We wish you the best!

      Amanda Glerh I think it will be fine for the milk. The main question would be whether or not what you are storing the milk would hold up to the temperature of steam. If you are using the plastic bags, you might ask the manufacturer of those bags if it can withstand the heat of steam. Let me know what you are using and what you find out to store your milk.

I got one for my daughter 2 months ago and a few days ago I noticed at the bottom there was water each time I’d turn it on .. so every time I put water in it and turned it on to warm her bottle the water was literally coming through the bottom !!! ... and not only that but it smells really burnt whenever you use it.

      The bottle warmer was leaking into the unit? It sounds like you may have received a defective one. This is also really dangerous-l I never had that happen.
