I’m 82 and come from a big family. During our childhood, my mother, with some hired help, and volunteer young hands, made fruit boxes from mangos, guayabas, membrillos, etc. Every year she would start by cleaning a BIG cooper saucepan with ash, baking soda and lemon until brilliant , then pealing the fruit and cooking it in the cooper saucepan, then sift the fruit through a big sifter and back to the saucepan to cook til a smooth paste, then box it and cool. A slice of that was a treat for desert.

Let me add to the mitochondrial function story presented here…. In short, proton pumps that generate ATP use hydrogen, specifically protium. This much is relatively common knowledge, what is not common knowledge is that Deuterium (heavy hydrogen) in the average person’s blood is at massive levels (I.e., add up all the calcium, magnesium, potassium, and glucose in your blood. Combine all of these together and you will approximate the level of Deuterium (D) in your blood).
D breaks mitochondrial function, and drives cancer growth rates amongst other things. Lower D = longer health span and longer lifespan.
Now you have been introduced to a very very specialized field within cellular biology. ALL plant and animal life on Earth have mechanisms that work to keep D out of the mitochondrial/cellular water.
The higher your D level the sooner you die (true of plant and animal life).
So, how does this tie into Copper? Copper adsorbs D..binds it. Interestingly, the ancients knew this, somehow, although I’m sure they didn’t call it by our modern names. Regardless, they understood.
In closing, reduce you D levels by increasing copper, eating less processed foods, and low carbohydrate (carbohydrates are high deuterium foods).

@@jac1161 breathing and/or drinking molecular hydrogen dissolved into water, especially deuterium depleted water (DDW) has many benefits, and very few drawbacks. The only drawback being that beyond a given dose there are no known benefits. Essentially you reach a biological optimum. I’m engaged in work to determine if the same is true for decreasing deuterium levels in biological systems. No conclusions to draw as yet beyond less deuterium is better.
On the molecular hydrogen side, breathing or drinking it is a mode of depleting deuterium in your system simply because all of the systems that produce hydrogen, due to deuterium bonds being 8-15 time harder to break, naturally select for protium (light hydrogen) and your mitochondria run off of protium and light oxygen.
Realistically, I doubt anyone will drink enough dissolved hydrogen to reach a level of zero gains or detriment, so only benefits to be expected. If you want optimize breathing molecular hydrogen there is a weight to ml/minute x time formula. I won’t provide that here but you should find it before engaging in breathing H2 gas.
Of interest, amongst the numerous PhDs in my network, the agreed upon potential lifespan effects of several combined therapies (including DDW and molecular hydrogen) theoretically yield an expected average lifespan of 500+ years. The already known/established mitochondrial impacts are significant. There are even theories that have been put forward that suggest much much longer lifespans and health spans are possible. Work ongoing.

00:13 📚 Moy Robbins, creator of the Root Cause Protocol, discusses the importance of copper in health.
04:06 🌞 Copper's magnetic attraction to sunlight and ammonia highlights its crucial role in cellular energy production.
05:14 💤 Copper deficiency is a primary cause of fatigue, often overlooked in medical diagnoses.
10:23 🔄 The narrative of copper toxicity and iron necessity in health is reversed; copper plays a central role in metabolic function.
17:00 🌱 Historically, human diets were richer in copper, but changes in farming practices and food processing have led to a decline in dietary copper intake.
24:29 📖 Early research from the 1970s highlighted the importance of copper proteins like ceruloplasmin, underscoring copper's significance in human health.
24:56 📚 Important health information often isn't taught in conventional medical or nutrition education.
25:36 🥬 Historical diets contained essential nutrients like copper which are often lacking in modern diets due to farming and food processing changes.
27:38 💊 Common health advice may overlook the significance of copper deficiency in conditions like iron deficiency anemia.
29:42 💡 Copper uniquely regulates iron and oxygen, essential for preventing oxidative damage.
32:12 ⚙ Copper-dependent enzymes play crucial roles in managing oxidative stress and energy production in the body.
34:38 🌱 Glyphosate, found in herbicides like Roundup, accelerates the depletion of essential minerals like copper from the soil.
36:21 🔍 Copper deficiency may underlie metabolic syndrome and its associated health issues, highlighting the importance of addressing mineral imbalances in health interventions.
49:54 🧠 Copper and DHA both play crucial roles in brain development, with copper being essential for oxygen transport in blood and energy production in mitochondria.
52:26 🐟 Copper-rich seafood, which is also a source of DHA, may provide a synergistic effect for brain health and inflammation prevention.
53:52 🔍 Lack of awareness about the importance of copper in the body can lead to a focus on essential fatty acids like omega-3s, overlooking essential minerals crucial for preventing inflammation and maintaining health.
55:04 🌿 Dietary changes are fundamental in addressing health issues related to mineral deficiencies, including copper, especially in the face of widespread exposure to farming chemicals like glyphosate.
56:41 🚫 Certain dietary supplements, including zinc, calcium, and vitamin D supplements, may interfere with copper metabolism and should be avoided or consumed with caution.
01:04:28 🛑 Implementing "stops" in dietary habits, such as avoiding certain supplements and processed foods, is essential in addressing root causes of health issues related to mineral deficiencies.
01:11:25 ☀ Sunlight stimulates the breakdown of retinol (vitamin A), which is crucial for hormonal balance, highlighting the importance of holistic approaches to health that consider various lifestyle factors.
01:14:46 🧠 Oxidative stress is the breeding ground for various health symptoms affecting the heart, brain, eyes, kidneys, joints, etc.
01:16:40 💔 Heart disease, cancer, and neurodegeneration are the top three causes of death, all linked to lack of energy and metabolic dysfunction.
01:19:49 🚹 Estrogen rise in men due to iron overload can lower testosterone levels, impacting health.
01:22:35 💉 Regular phlebotomy can help lower iron levels, improving overall health and reducing oxidative stress.
01:24:50 🏥 Asking doctors about ceruloplasmin and the PAM enzyme can gauge their understanding of crucial physiological mechanisms.
01:28:24 👩‍⚕ Encouraging doctors to level up their understanding can lead to improved healthcare practices.

Ferritin, testosterone, T3/T4, eczema diagnosed as seborrheic keratosis, etc. Conventional docs just couldn't care less. Reference values are usually ridiculously misleading. My homocysteine rose up to 13.5 from 10.5 in just 4 months, but then I did a lot of research and changed and split supplements and brought it down to 10.3 in about 10 days. I'm having another blood test in 3 weeks to check whether this protocol is still effective or whether I should add something else to it.
I might've had one of the homocysteine methylation genes suffer a mutation, which would make taming that marker very annoying. I had my first heart doppler exam last Friday and all ok, thanks be to God. I've been cooking my own food since 2016.

@@rickmillerrd I would say that you needn't chop it up with jump cuts - the most successful podcast in the history of podcasting is in the long form. Editing takes more of your time and effort, effort that could be spent productively elsewhere.
Besides, the main reason creators chop the length of the videos is to attract more of the people with less attention span - for views. The people truly interested in your content, like myself, actually LOVE the long form. We get to hear the dramatic pauses, the questions that make a guest think just a bit longer; the general flow of an _authentic_ conversation. Remember - we _do_ have the ability to skip forward if we like. 🤓
I'm of the opinion that the long form is better - and if you want to do it live - well, that's a choice for you to make. For me, it makes no difference if it's live or recorded - it's the information I'm after. Every book I've ever read has been after the fact of its writing. The information contained within remains, irrespective of when it was penned.

I've now just watched as far as 1:15:39 and I'd like to comment on what he said about storage and active vitamin D. The problem with having insufficient D levels is that your PTH goes up beyond optimal levels resulting in your system eating calcium away from your bones and teeth. And the problems with D3 supplementation is forgetting to take K2MK7 with it so it ends up being deposited in your arteries and kidneys.
Doctor Cicero Coimbra is one the world's most renowned authorities on vitamin D and naturally je takes it as a supplement . There's the Doctor Coimbra's protocol, which is widely used in Brazil.
During the pandemic I saw many charts with scientific data showing a connection between deaths amd low D-levels.

I also know of some persons who moved to the same area and suffered greatly from too much copper in the water. Genetically, apparently, copper supplementation is not for everyone. Be careful!

It has to be a dire emergency before I go to the doctors or hospital. I’m 60 and disabled from nerve gas and with ALS I’ve cured cancer three times, reversed, severe rheumatoid arthritis, including restoring normalcy from extreme deformity, fatal Diffuse Scleroderma, IBS caused by rare time took antibiotic, and much more.
The longest anyone lived from studies done of people exposed to high levels of nerve gas causing ALs was 20 years. My exposure to nerve gas was at 21. I studied herbs., scientific studies, to design my own stem cell treatment. It took many years., but I did regenerate greatly It is damage to the mitochondria of every cell. After menopause, because of the loss of hormones, the degeneration more rapidly. I’m hoping to regenerate again and maintain.
But the doctors can’t do anything for you - generally. They treat symptoms and cause a whole lot of damage. I have concluded for me, modern medicine is best for diagnosis and testing , as well as emergency care. Their drugs have side effects., which means damage because the drugs are toxic. Naturopathic Doctors and a few other categories are exceptions.
Someone would say., you didn’t cure cancer if you had it three times. Yes I did. It doesn’t mean it’s the same cancer coming back. It means I’m susceptible! And, when I had the most regeneration, it was because I was taking herbs which doubled up as neuron repair herbs. I refuse to take any any herbs that were anti-VEGF, which is a common pathway to treat for cancer. VEGF cancer grow. But VEGF is necessary. To promote. With other pathways., in order to regenerate neurons. I was desperate. I was horrified at being so weak, wasting, and didn’t wanna live unless I could repair my muscles. I prayed and gave God an ultimatum., asking him to guide me VEGF is already promoted during cancer and is a main factor in its spread. I magnified the VEGF, and treated many other pathways for both anti-cancer and pro stem cell and neuron repair.
The cancer was actually a blessing. I hung in last.stage for nearly a year and was down to 85 pounds. I forced myself to do fast twitch exercise for 20 seconds up to 60 seconds I was very weak I was alone in the state with no one I’m just my cats. The neurons needed this cancer environment for full effect of the stem cell and neural regeneration. I didn’t know this at the time. I just knew if I was going to survive the cancer., I had to regenerate strength, my muscles. It wasn’t perfect regeneration, but it was A LOT! I was exercising again. Anytime I would., I still got hit down so hard and recovery was so slow. But I continue to do it., and maintain my strength.
Now with menopause, I’m back to barely being able to stand or move. And I’m determined., to do it one more time but it’s so much more complex And challenging I have to decide if I will take hormones. I might have to. I’m buying a house in the country with land and animals. I don’t have the strength., but darn it, God will have to give me the way Herbs and healthy, eating and living, with prayer first and last can career just about anything. Prayer alone, without herbs., can cure the most dire situation in condition. But, one can predict just how long that prayer needs to be., in order to get your healing. But herbs and diet alone are magnified by prayer, and prayer is magnified by herbs and diet.

Thanks for the video but I'll tell you, I left this video knowing basically NOTHING and I'll tell you why. We are NOT scientists for the most part. We are listening to this video and what we need to know is: HOW do we measure the amount of copper in the body; HOW much copper should we have in our body; and HOW do we get that copper into our body. 😊 After this video I have NO answers to any of those three questions.
And then I'm left with this conundrum regarding vitamin D: Storage vitamin D versus active vitamin D? Storage is what they tell you when they measure it from your blood and I was told you should have between 30 and 90 which is a huge spectrum. I've decided I want 50 and I believe if I take 5,000 international units per day I will end up with 50 as the number when they do my blood test. I think he's saying that I should ONLY have 21. Like I said, I don't understand. IT was not made clear. So all I can do is ignore everything regarding vitamin D and carry on like I've done for a decade-- taking 5,000 international units of vitamin D3 daily and at my annual blood test be sure it's between 30 and 90 with 50 being the optimal level for me.
As for copper, I have no idea as to the answers to the three questions I posed above so I will try to research sources of copper in food and see if I can increase that. I will check at my drug store and see if they even sell copper which I believe they do not. I will go online and see if they sell copper and I will go online and do research such that I can understand better the answers to my questions posed above because this guest did NOT answer those questions: HOW much copper do I need; HOW do I get that copper in my body and WHICH foods should I eat to optimize my copper intake.
The fact of the matter is anecdotally, I absolutely love copper and I have copper bracelets; earrings & rings because I just adore copper. Hence, I was really looking forward to this talk but like I said, I left with NOTHING .. Maybe you can as the host ask someone on who answers my three questions. I will wait and see if that can be done. Thx

@@rickmillerrd my understanding is that most people have copper toxicity within the areas that matter (bones and organs) but when that happens blood levels are low. In other words, if blood levels of copper are low, then you have a high level in bones/organs and if blood levels are high, then you have a low level in bones/organs. Hair analysis is the most accurate way of testing, and then you need a hair analysis specialist to interpret the data.

@@rickmillerrd ah yes, a serious point. The NPK link is now so much more important in light of Schauberger's story. Copper is a positively charged metal whereas iron is negative. I'm sure you would be greatly interested in Viktor Schauberger's copper plough blades which increased and even doubled agricultural yields in some crops. The account can be found in his biography, Page 101, Living Water Viktor Schauberger and the Secrets of Natural Energy, by Olof Alexandersson. Excerpt ---
In 1948 Viktor Schauberger had signed a contract with a company in Salzburg for the production of a large number of ploughs. Then suddenly one day he was visited by a high official from Salzburg's treasury office. The latter arrived in an elegant car, and the following ensued: the treasury director:
'There has been a rumour that the Salzburg town corporation has carried out successful tests with your ploughs, and, naturally, this is of interest But now I must ask you face to face
      - what is is worth to me, if I support you?' Schauberger said: T don't understand what you mean. You are from the treasury, you have nothing to do with support I have paid my fees for the test and everything is complete.' The Treasury director went on: T must make myself clear. The fact is, I have an agreement with the nitrogen industry whereby if I can stimulate the farmers to use more nitrogen than usual I receive a royalty for each sack being sold. If now the farmers were to change to the copper plough the demand would permanently diminish, and thus I need royalties from your ploughs as compensation. Can't we come to an understanding as old friends and make a good deal for us both?' Schauberger replied furiously: 'I have only one thing to say to you - you are a greedy rascal - a thing I should have understood at once - when as a representative of the people
you drive around in a luxury car.' It was after this exchange that there was a surprise termination of the contract from the company that was to have provided the ploughs. Representatives from the local agricultural society also started to warn farmers against using the copper plough as it could cause over-production which would give lower prices. Thereby their production and use were totally halted. In 1950, Schauberger, together with engineer Rosenberger, however, obtained a patent on a method of coating the active surfaces of farm machinery with copper.
Thankyou again for these tenacious findings.
