What I find interesting is that Kado made a change of genre two times. Started with was a good bureaucrats anime, changed to a very good sci-fi and ended with an ok battle of wits. The first change was smooth, a very good wham episode. The second change was a bit rough. I mean, Saraka's revelation felt like a Deus ex-machina. That big coincidence dropped my opinion a few points.

as a pacifist, i find it so sad that kado chose violence as the solution; instead of, u know, "negotiation".

So i just wrote this whole paragraph and after posting the comment i tried to edit it, which lead to me accidentally deleting it lol.
Anyways, i went on about how i felt that the problem was that Saraka somehow managed to change Shindo's ideals but I realized something the moment i posted my comment. In the first episode/episode zero, Shindo had to negotiate between two sides and his task was to make the outcome in favor of one particular side. Instead of picking one side Shindo instead found a compromise that benefited both sides. That's exactly what happened in the finale. Shindo had two opposing sides (Saraka/humanity VS Za Shunina) with two opposing wishes and he made a compromise that benefited both.
What made episode 9 feel different was the fact the before episode 9, Za shunina had no known wishes or atleast any distinct ones, in episode 9 he makes his wishes known and for the first time in the series, Humanity's and Za shunina's wishes aren't in line. Which is what makes episode 9 feel so different and what makes Shindo use HIS negotiation style. Idk if this makes sense but these are my thoughts. Gonna check out your DBS vid after this.

I was wondering what happened to the comment since I couldn't find it in the video when I tried looking for it! And man really good point. Definitely legitimized when you consider that Shindo's biggest allies for those final episodes were the workers from the company he helped.
And yeah I get what you're saying and I'm largely agreed, Zashuina's desires are definitely the pivotal moment here. I really do respect that finale like I said because it does come down to a negotiation in Shindo's terms. Shindo still wanted to give Zashuina something. Maintaining thematics even when the direction changed is a pretty cool thing.
And DBS videos, thanks, I still haven't found my groove for how I want to present my thoughts on DBS yet but its something I'm working on

Maybe not the universe but certainly the humans from earth most would likely die ascending those dimensions (literally 37 extra at the number 40 which seems very unlikely as there are likely only around 10-27 at most)

I often wonder what this series would have been like if they didn't ruin the ending ... some portion of humanity transcending into the anisotropic, the rest staying behind unharmed but with knowledge of higher dimensions and the tools to boundlessly improve society, civilization leaps forward as humanity learns to share the bread while beginning interplanetary exploration ... czcams.com/video/OyHsM-imhUk/video.html

Late reply as I just finished KADO. But, in the anime it's briefly said that in order to surprise zaShunina they had to make him believe their plan had failed and since zaShunina had already predicted that Shindou would effectively attack him they had to let that part play out, ultimately leading to Shindou's death. This basically means that Shindou dies to fulfill zaShunina's wish.

Right, I have philo majors trying to answer the question what would you say to a human who doesn't want to be a god and even if the writer can't pull off that debate he should have listened to Zashunina's advise: The right answer is to NOT STOP THINKING... humanity must keep on thinking about where the answer lies, must continue to ask questions in order to arrive at an answer... I think the only reason I got to like Kado's fist episodes was like everything sounds so intellectually academic, like the kind you never thought you'd find in anime becoz there's just a lot of garbage anime/movies/etc out there... But yeah, the anime ended up like full circle, nullifying all its initial premises, all that wonderful dialectics got flushed! Then the ending is bad gay romance battle, sheesh... They put a lot of gay innuendos into this and then bam, let's forget all the dialectical debates and just have the gay god become insanely obsessed with Shindo to the point he loses his logic and objectivity and starts talking about wanting something he can't even articulate (obviously he hasn't acquired the concept of love and wanting more info on that would agree with his desire for more info... and hello, why would he be so attached to Shindo anyway, is that what getting tainted by human desire means?) The ending could have been rewritten in a way that doesn't portray Zashunina in such a BAD AWFULLY BAD way... just to give Shindo's woman some credibility, sheesh... I can't think of a single argument she made that was half as interesting or thought provoking as Zashunina's and they had to make him look like a pathetic possessive gay god. IT's OFFENSIVE and TOEI SHOULD BE ASHAMED! Just-just go back to doing a rehash of Mazinger Z where they can put all their chauvinistic geniuses in action! And to think that I was reminded of ufotable artwork here...

I liked the ending. I just felt the ending was just...sudden out of no where. There wasn't really any foreshadowing of the "right answer" side of things. So it's just...okay. This is a thing. I'll probably chalk it up to time. There just wasn't enough time to get those points across.
