Great video, got injured 4weeks agowith a very hard bag while doing Muya thai. Was so stressed out about the inflamation and pain, happy my instinct was correct about movement, it is definitely the key. Glade you added some extra tips to recover 🙂
Thanks for sharing ! hope the recovery goes well

Hey Jack, the link to the free injury prevention guide isn’t working. Is this still available? Great video.
Great video! I was 8 weeks into jiu jitsu training and stuff was finally starting to click, but after a really excellent live roll, I sprained my ankle (grade 2) while heading to the sidelines. I've been out of training for about 5 weeks and I have been really bummed about it. I am healing, but not as fast as I would like -- I am still having a lot of trouble with anything knee over toe and pushing off toes at certain angles (shrimping and bridging). I'm trying to stay patient and smart about it.
This is what I am going through. New to the sport, starting to have fun and make sense, then hurt my ankle. I’ve been out for 5 weeks as well. Re-injured it in my first roll back.
Back training yet? I got my ankle badly torn by a heel hook and been off for around 9 months, almost healed now in terms of stability just building strength.
How long do you generally recommend waiting after the injury until you start with the light movement and non-weighted exercises?
It depends on severity of injury but I have athlete's doing some form of movement immediately.
The mentioned 15 min injury reduction program link isn't working anymore. Is it possible to get it again? Thank you!
Yes I am creating a new version in the near future, stay tuned.
@@combattherapist Gotcha, thank you for the update!
Hey Jack, last year I had a Broken Rib (Rib 12) and I don’t think I've fully recovered. I train MMA and don’t go as hard because if this, how can I strengthen or “bulletproof” them?
Ribs are a tricky one mate, I'd be looking to strengthen the core as much as possible (I have core videos covering this).
But as far as ribs are concerned they are a very tricky one because of how little support they have with muscular protection
@@combattherapist All right, thanks man. I have seen your core videos and am trying to implement them in my trainings. Just wanted to make sure I was out of options.
@@DarkMayanRevs There's other things you can do, but they're all 1%'ers that I would try after not having success with the other suggestions
@@combattherapist alright man, looking forward to the konclave.
Came across this from Twitter, I’m a volleyball player w a persistent ankle injury… obviously not your niche, but it would prob still apply right?
I actually work with a high level volleyballer, so I understand the mechanics of the sport very well.
Same principles apply, I would be focusing a lot more of phase 4 plyometrics are CRUCIAL for volleyball
Thank you, that’s what I was thinking, makes totally sense. Sharing this video w all my friends lol
@@emkunderwood Appreciate that Emily, thanks for reaching out
