Love, love, love this maple leaf pattern! I have crocheted at least a dozen to use around my home as coasters. Also have them in my bathroom under the liquid soap bottle. They certainly add a fall touch to my decor. Thank you for sharing.

My Canadian-born friend will love their birthday present. The only thing that was difficult about following this pattern was sometimes after chaining up you'd single crochet into the next two stitches but by just listening, it would sound like I was only supposed to single crochet once. I fixed up the errors but yeah. Other than that, it's a very good pattern and very well presented.

The pattern on the redheart site is not like this one. It has extra steps and is very convoluted. I decided to just write down Mikey's instructions here because the RH site makes no sense.

Thanks a lot for this amazing pattern. I do appreciate sharing it with us. Actually I became so addicted to this pattern to the degree that I crocheted it exactly 20 times. And since I love maple trees and leaves, I would like to kindly ask you to do a video tutorial for a free pattern for maple leaf: www.larkcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/11/MapleLeaf_project.pdf
I appreciate all your efforts and thanks in advance.

Using a multi colored yarn makes it difficult for a crocheter to clearly distinguish the stitches, as opposed to a single color.
