Crochet Footsie Blanket Tutorial | EASY | The Crochet Crowd

- The Crochet Footsie Blanket is designed to keep your feet tucked into a pocket. More more feet popping out at the bottom.
I’m too tall for an average throw size blanket. Instead of creating an obsessive about extra length, I created a pocket that is 12″ deep that I can slide my feet into to prevent my feet from poking out.

Thank you so much Mikey! I’m so going to make this one! I know a lot of my friends and family who would like this!
Thank you, Mikey. You're the best.
Thank you Mikey, thank you so much!!!!! Ready to start this fun proyect for my Dad!!!!
Perfect gift for my son. Thank you.
Thanks for doing this quick little tutorial! You totally answered the question I had about the start of this project. Thanks so much! Now I can begin.
Thank you for the tutorial and most of all the free pattern. There will be a few of these on my hook soon!
Fun to make! Thank you Mikey! Making 3 for Christmas. I did have a problem with the blanket yarn though. I started with just the regular blanket yarn and bought a couple os the “inkwell” blanket yarn. It seems to be a little thinner than the other blanket yarns and it was working up tighter than the other blanket yarn, so I switched to a larger hook when using that yarn and it worked up great!
Thank you so much for this. I see Christmas presents in my family's future
I so need this in my life!! My feet stay cold all the time. Thanks Mikey for a great project. :)
Thank you for you generous spirit
This pattern is so nice, I wish I could find more of footsie blanket like this.
Probably just search Ravelry or something. :D
Need more like these functional crochet.

Beautiful!!
And I think it's possible to add sleeves to it... I'll try it, lol.
My next project
Mikey has become a model. I didn’t notice that he was sleeping in there.
Yay thanks Mikey for the video tutorial for this footsie blanket! NOW I need get my hand on these yarn which is not available in my country haha. Time to source for it.
Claire Violet Shen Have you tried yarnsub.com? I’ve found that it is great for getting comparable yarns when I don’t have or am unfamiliar with a particular yarn being called for in a pattern. Hope this helps.
@@aliciakane4536 Thanks Alicia sweetie, will check that out.
Mikey, the written instructions say "Rnd 1: Ch 1, 1 sc in each st to 2nd last ch." I had to come back to video instructions to get correct that it's supposed to be "1 sc in 2nd ch from hook..." Just thought you'd want to know. Thanks for this tutorial. I'm using my Bernat Blanket in Turquoise, Gray, and Black.
Crochet Crowd Mikey, so do you chain one on round one and single Crochet to the end or do you start at the second chain from the hook?
This is a great pattern especially for someone in a wheelchair.
You are awesome, I put this to memory from just that little bit. I am looking for a pretty infant cardigan, if you have one that you have done in the past can you direct me to it, this is for a newborn, something easy but special. Also I love to work in Bernat Parfait, it is so soft, but I find that the best stitch is Front Post Double and Back Post Double, have you worked with it at all, have you found any other stitches that work well with that yarn? Any help would be greatly appreciated, it is a great yarn for babies 1st blanket, so so soft. Thanks
If you do an internet search using "crochet crowd newborn cardigan" there are a number of sweater options. I always search the crochet crowd when I'm seeking a new pattern to try!
I'm not sure if I am missing something. I followed your tutorial for starting this "Footies Blanket" How many total stitches should there be once your gone around the chain? I get 108 for both sides at first. However, when I go around each time I come up with 109 :-(. I have teared this our several time. Not sure what I am doing wrong. Can any one help me? I've been crocheting for years and have not master this type of chain, going around and around. Thank you in advance. Carrie
So just so I’m clear, I’m not increasing right? The blanket will grow on its own?
My grandson where's a size 13.5 shoe and 6 ft tall would love to make him one but not sure how to modify it could you help me
Very nice footsie blanket. I am from Argentina. If you speak solwly i will understand all what you say us. Please!!! Speak for spanish speakers too!!! Thanks thanks. Abuela Enri Argentina
Gracias.
Can you switch to other stitches after you get the bottom done?
Such as a double crochet or some other kind of stitch to finish the top part?
You are the artist, make it how it makes you happy 😃

Thank you so much, I really enjoy your tutorials 😊
Mikey my son is 6'6"
Can the yarn be changed? The lady I'm making this for lives in a hot state and she wants a size 4 medium weight. She is in a wheelchair as well. I need help please.
Yes, you can use any yarn you wish. We have another pattern with #4 Weight Yarn. I haven't recorded a tutorial for it but it's my own design. thecrochetcrowd.com/i-need-this-crochet-blanket-any-size/
I'm a five two adult unless I shrunk some more.
Hi I’m making one for my granddaughter but the end with the slip stich is not strait. What am I doing wrong 😩🤷♀️
Mine also
Thank you for the footie pattern. I’m experiencing a problem where the first page of the three prints blank. I attempted three different ways, but the first page comes out blank, even though I see all three pages in the printing window. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks...
He doesn't wear nail colors, does he? 😲
No. Nor do I wear make up.
The Crochet Crowd I mean his 🖐 🤚 are always clean and plump. My hands .... definitely need nail color and be treated for injuries and even a lot of sweat rash. 😨
