SHRINKAGEEEEE, thanks for doing this review! In my opinion products that say they help elongate the hair is just a selling tactic, there really isn’t a product out there to help with shrinkage.

Shrinkage!! I’ve used this gel and I like that it gives good definition without making my hair crunch and stiff and I’ve also paired it with several leave-in and I’ve never gotten flakes. I didn’t really experience any significant elongation though.

I think the ingredients didn’t pair well with my hair 😭 and I have concealer on! My skin has a lot of hyper pigmentation that I’m still working on!

Good review but I’m pretty sure that the “shrinkage” will be serious for me because most of my hair is made of coils and the very back and front are curls. You said it best! It’s great for definition and not elongation. That’s how I thought your hair would turn out. Defined beautifully when wet but as far as shrinkage it wasn’t going to be super. Hair is flawless tho 💁🏾♀️

I wasn't a huge fan of the gel... When i first tried it.. My hair shrunk up and i had people ask me if i cut it again.. It left it hard and dry... I tried it again... And still the same results.. I've heard people say to pair it with their leave in... So i did say i would try it with a wash and go again and try it with a twist out or something.. But for my first 2 times it was a NO...

Yeah the gel is pretty good at defining your curls with a soft hold but I wish it had more elongation

Shrinkage! It did ok. I am glad it didn't make your hair crunchy. I tried aunt jackies don't shrink gel years ago. I used it on damp hair. It made my hair kinda crunchy and hard.

Like no hate..I've noticed that when people apply it,they just leave it loose.. I use this when doing twist out and braid outs,and my hair doesn't shrink! So I think that's what they were kinda working on.

Shrinkage! I have it and my hair loves it. It stays shiny and super defined for a good 4-5 days but I usually use it for when my hair gets frizzy from a previous wash and go and I don’t feel like washing my hair 😅 lol but I’ll try it for my next wash and go.

My 3c/4a hair hates this gel. It gives me no hold at all. I actually like gels that leave a crunch behind, let’s me know my style will last!
Yeah I usually prefer gels with a little more hold but I was pretty impressed with how much definition I got without the hold

Shrinkage. Hey Lydia🤗 I have the Flaxseed Elongating gel, as well as their Curl Mane-Tenance cream. I had planned on using it yesterday, but it curdled when I mixed them together on my hand. So, I ended up using my CURLS Blueberry Bliss products. I always get very consistent results with that line. Btw, I used the tgin Honey Miracle Hair Mask, and I really liked it a lot. Lydia, do an apple cider vinegar rinse weekly to remove product build up. All you need to do is mix 1 part apple cider with 4 parts water. Bragg ACV is great. Don’t buy the bs ACV that looks like piss😂💯👍.
Oh that’s unfortunate that they didn’t mix well! I haven’t tried my blueblerry curl jelly in a while but I think I might revisit it soon! And I hear Apple cider vinegar rinses are great I may have to start incorporating them to my wash day routines. But I’m so glad you enjoyed the TGIN mask!!
