The Cordyline should come back with multiple stems. I'm zone 9a as well in the US. My Sago's are looking pretty ruff as well. I trim off a few fronds at a time and try and ignore the yucky brown ones. I think your garden looks great for the winter you've had. Give it time, and it'll be lush and thriving soon!

I LOVE how everything starts waking up in the spring... We had a horrible winter over here as low as in TX too, bunch of dead plants, lots to clean. Thanks for the update!

Hoping to see ''Big Red'' ( Caladium Red Flash ) soon.
Couldn't find that one to buy.
Florida supplies almost all Caladiums in North America, and their crops were hit by a hurricane last growing season, so alot of people were out of luck this Spring.

I'm in zone 5b in southern Ontario,Canada. Last week we actually had a bit of a mild spell so I was able to clean up my backyard & perennial beds. Today we actually have sun but it is only +1c.(and it's late afternoon). My tulips & daffodils are now up about 1cm. (Hooray-finally signs of life). If we have good weather during the coming week, I will attempt to clean up the front yard and flowerbeds. Your yard is obviously way ahead of our area. It already looks good.

Touch wood the only casualties over here on the isle of wight have been the Dwarf Cavendish I had to keep in the heated greenhouse as too big for indoors which is no surprise, and possibly the salvia amistads, but haven't given up hope on them yet.

We had a devastating winter here in N Florida as well, even as most are coming back, I'm still waiting for my 15 ft black bamboo to send up shoots, as well as bromiliads and bananas. I've lived in Florida for 9 years, this was the worst winter in my memory...rain again today, but we need it...good luck!

Oh gosh yes the weather everywhere has been so crazy. Here in the US in Idaho we have had more snow than ever, and I am so ready for spring but it isn't here yet and it is April. I feel like your garden will get back to being beautiful like it always has been. Thanks for sharing this video and always so good to see you and see all of your plants and your garden. Take care and have a blessed and beautiful week coming up, sending love and hugs, bye! 🤗👏🙌💜💜

Love your organization of bulbs. I too even living in northwest Florida near Pensacola FL zone 8b/9A had damage to my sagos but are putting out new growth. Mist bananas are doing well I protected mine same way you did. You just have to be patient for regrowth

Hannah, i have seen a lot of private "English Gardens" and my general impression have always been "bush", not really well arranged or cared for in the belief that wild growth is better for the plants (of course there have been exceptions). So I am always very pleased to see how you arrange with thought and carefully maintain your garden. It's beautiful, my kind of eye-candy and even now, I can well imaging how it will all bounce back to gorgeous jungle foliage come summer, like last year. Are you sure you're not a woodland nymph in disguise as a human?

Brilliant video again, your garden is looking great, how do you keep your trachy palms looking so lush and healthy ? I live in the South east also but the tips on my large palms have really blackened this winter.

Are yours in the ground or are they in pots? What sun exposure do they get?
I fertilise mine every now and again during the summer but apart from that I don’t do much with them at all

Hi Hannah looks gorgeous already. Please can I ask you a question- I brought in an ensette banana over winter and it was great until a week ago when the leaves turned brown and have gone crispy. Is it done for? Any way I can bring it back? There is some moisture at the bottom and it smells bananay. Thanks ❤

Mine look awful at the moment but they will soon regrow. Don’t worry it’ll come back. I grow mine inside until May time (weather dependant) then put them outside 🌴
