Thank you guys for this conversation. I am not a veteran. I am a respiratory therapist that works in ICU environments most of the time. I have not taken a life like the both of you have but I have witnessed a lot of lives leave this earth (including people that I know). Over time, this creates some unease in the mind. I started noticing my sleep habits being knocked off its regular track. I couldn’t fall asleep at times. I would go into that fight or flight response and couldn’t go to bed and would have to go downstairs, watch TV, and try to fall asleep so I don’t wake up the wife. I guess being around death often can take it’s toll. Again, my experiences are different than Dans and Chris’ but I actually could relate to the conversation in a way. One of the ways I can deal with the sleep issues is music. I’ll put something relaxing or will play the guitar. With a guitar there’s screen/blue lights. It’s just your fingers and your ears. Even if you suck at it. Just try it. Find a hobby…it really helps. Hope this helps someone out there. PS: Chris and Dan. Please RUN FOR OFFICE SOMEWHERE. This country still needs guys like you. Please. I beg you guys.
Such a great podcast Dan... straight to the point with no nonsense... thank you

The intro had me thinking
