If there's only 1 thing I'd add to Start Stop and Steer, it's Stitch. If you could start a good partnership with an upholstery shop, I think if you got all the vinyl fixes done on the seats that would go a long way in first impressions to the potential buyer. Since the rest of the interior is pretty well done I think that little bit would go a long way.

Now that IMHO is a great find for your new selling of classics idea. Still reeling over the Cornbinder you bought but I guess we will see how you make out with it. Now gain IMHO with the 50 Plymouth I'd as your doing get the mechanicals done so it runs and drives safely, will it pass NB Inspection with the slight rust on the car ? As far as cometics go its the right color and I'd just pop a set of dog dish or baby moon hubcaps on it and maybe probably new tires, blackwalls out or whitewalls and nor RWLetters for that old and style of a car. Maybe redo the seats too. Its cool as hell just the way it looks especially with the small block and autotrans buta 4 speed stick would be superb as well and that rear mouted antenna is a great touch and I'm looking forward to the For Sale video... I know I'm long winded, but I reserve that right as I'm old 😃 but it seems you don't know much history of the car so wonder did u buy it privately or at auction as u usually have history on the old stuff you buy. I'm done now , LOL..
All great ideas Gregory. This was an auction purchase from an estate. I am trying to find out some of the history, but as of now, it's quite a mystery.
That front sun visor would add a little bit of pizzazz to Old Fossil and remind me of the '49 Mercs. The old Plymouth is in good shape body wise' nice find.
I wouldn’t put a visor on a Merc!

My Dodge version is still all original drivetrain, I redid the interior myself. (Not fancy, but presentable)

Well actually, it's not what you don't see that makes a car. It's what you do see. To me, it's very much a 50 Plymouth. But I get it!
@@OldeCarrGuy For sure, I have no problem with somebody hot rodding a car. It’s better than going to the scrapper. Plus, it keeps parts on the market. I was lucky that the one I have was in great shape when I got it.
I have a 50 Plymouth with a 218 and 6V. It has Armstrong steering and roll down the window turn signals. Why someone would put GM parts on it is a point of concern. Your point about the hood height is well understood. Somebody dePlymothed the car. Not worth real money. I'd get rid of it to a GM fanatic. FFS put GM in a GM - Ford in a Ford and Mopar into a Mopar.
I know brand swapping is not for everyone, but that's classic hot rodding. Work with what you have.
@@OldeCarrGuy I'm currently working on a 283 and a 327. They will both go into GM vehicles. I understand that Chevy motors are readily available and cheaper than the others (especially Ford). Some days I have thoughts about putting Hyundai or Toyota motors into GM products. Maybe Nissan into a Chevy II. GM makes a great V8 but their cars haven't been any good since the mid 90s. GM has lost the reliability wars.

@@OldeCarrGuy The word has a specific meaning. Nothing was restored to like it was, it was modified into something else. Just semantics.
I'd like to have seen it before it was modified. That would have been the right time to buy it. Trying to bring it back to stock would be costly now.
