On June 20, 2023 Hi-Rez released a new update for Rogue Company which without a doubt changed the game in a whole 'nother level. On this new update, Switch players will no longer be able to play Rogue Company.
Now I'm not sure the reason to why they did this but without a doubt Rogue Company will lose a lot of its players.

As some one who played on the switch, it was god awful. The lag was turned up to 100 and rubber banding was your only way of movement. Or my internet sucked but when I switched to Xbox most of the problems fixed themselves
I had no problem with the switch version it ran better than a lot of other games on my switch

i think they took out switch players because they're planning a really big update, idk if you saw the new dev talk they uploaded on yt but apparently it's going to be a bigger update than the high castle omega release

I believe that the switch version is dead for now because the team is now smaller and they are trying to maximize their resources and focus on less platforms to accomplish this.

The Switch is a pretty weak console, compared to the newest Xbox & Playstation - Hi-Res had to remove team FFA from the switch version cuz there couldn't be too many players on-screen, and probably optimize the graphics, to compensate for the Switch's specs. Essentially, if their Switch playerbase is low, and they're developing a big update, Hi-Res doesn't see the reason they should put in extra work for a console that plays it the least* that's just my guess though. Great video as always, man.

I started playing RoCo on the Switch, and tried to play for about 2 years. It was clear to me that I have reached a ceiling in terms of my aim, because the pro controller can only do much (I used Gyro aim btw). Then I moved to PC and my performance improved tremendously. To me it was clear that Switch players are in disadvantage, so there is no point to play to get decimated by other platforms. Not to mention the super low specs of the console not allowing 6v6 deathmatch.
It sucks, but to me the decision makes sense. If you want to play any game that requires moderate graphics power (mostly all non Nintendo games), you would not buy the Switch to being with

Warface did what roco didnât do which is to lock the switch player base so that switch players could only play with other switch players. Roco shouldâve done something like this. In addition to improve the performance to 30fps stable. Itâs a shame. I also started on switch and moved to my series x.
@@dodgeshadow099 yeah, limiting the queue to only switch players would have been nice, but my guess is that there are not many players to justify that decision.
I assume the game isn't making a lot of money recently, so they moved most of the support staff to other projects. The playerbase notices that, and moves away from the game, which makes the issue even worse. Again, it is sad to see, but I don't see Hirez spending the necessary money to blow this game up again. They spent all their mkt budget with Mr Beast and other streamers when the game was very beta still, now that the game is decent, most people forgot that it exists....
