Ok, so, you've found the Golden song of rock. Now, it's time to introduce yourself to HEART, if you haven't already.

I love ❣️ what you're doing and ❣️❣️ watching you be Moved by Music, the universal language.
Stay safe and stoic.
You've found the gods of rock. Now our mother... Tori Amos.. Winter.
You both react nicely. Again. 27 vids in. Like.
Do more Led Zeppelin please!
This song was played at the funeral of one of my Dad’s friends who died unexpectedly at 33. It was raining outside, but when the guitar solo started the sun came out and there was a rainbow. It was the coolest thing I have ever seen in my life
Wow, that's beautiful. Got chills from this.
My dad told me the same thing but it was back when they were just 18 & 19.

67 year old dude coming at you to say I really dig young people's reactions to my generation's music. Led Zeppelin was truly one of the greatest bands back in the day. Keep on enjoying as you embark on this musical journey. Each time you do you're traveling back in time like you're in a time machine. Peace!
Man...I have my 6 year old grandson requesting Queen, Aerosmith, ...when I played Immigrant Song he said THOR !! and started singing along !!!
It’s my Dad’s Gen & he introduced me to many classics & gave me an appreciation for different types of music. I love discovering classics on my own & discussing it with him. Sometimes we have different reactions, usually based on the our personal life history. It’s part of what makes art like this transcend time. It’s always a joy to see new people discover great music
They did the rection for money
Lucas Varela don’t be that way. Young people listening to different genres should be encouraged. These guys seem to genuinely appreciate the fans and their journey through music.
@@TheRealSweetcherryo LOL That is so cool.
am sitting here literally crying watching young people appreciate my favorite music. You just don't know how it feels. Thank you so much you two.
i agree with you....our generation had some of the best music ever.....70 yrs old here and i have started watching the young people listening to the old tunes and loving their reactions to the music....their grooving to our tunes. LOVE IT!

This is highly considered the greatest rock song of all time. Masterpiece
This and Free Bird have been number 1 and 2 (and switching places with each other) forever
The only viable contender is Bohemian Rhapsody. Their video for it is just as amazing as this one.

Most definitely...
definitely enjoying you two.

I'm technology challenge lol. I can't figure out how to make a comment that is not a reply. Help?
Love their innocence, this is what music is all about. Watching them experience it for the first time gave me the same feeling as when I first heard it 40+ years ago. Beautiful.
Heard it as a teenager and it still resonates with me
Bill, you are so right! Watching the young people hearing our old favorite songs is priceless!
watching these two makes me wish i was Black lol, family of man.
51 years 1971 released The 70s Baby
You know, this really proves that truly good music transcends all generations and ethnicities!! I mean if we all loved this song back on the 70's, why wouldn't young people today love it as well?
Amen!
As a couple of old Hippies, WE LOVE YOU! Your reactions to these classics are heart warming and downright funny! I would strongly suggest, that you watch a live performance of this song AND Dazed and Confused from the movie The song remains the same.. Not only do they have raw musical talent. Their showmanship is equally wonderful! Thank you for restoring my faith in the young people of this fantastic planet!

“If this ain’t a vibe what is it?” Best reaction ever
After all these years, this song still gives me goose bumps....a musical masterpiece!!
For me the Song speaks of two different women. The woman mentioned in the beginning of the song "who knows (believes) that All That Glitters is Gold" symbolizes the materialist path and the woman at the end of the song "who shines white light and wants to show that everything still turns to gold" is the spiritual path and the song is saying there's still time to change the road you're on.
indeed she can show you the way to be a 'rock' and not to 'roll'. ie live your life with solid foundations of truth and harmony with the earth and you will be rewarded as opposed to buying artificial enlightenment, (weed and others), and trying to 'roll' your way into heaven and blowing 'rings of smoke' only to have your path wisped away on the whispering wind.
I'm just glad this generation is finding our music
I was born in 2006 and my father grew me up on songs like this because he loved rock music
I lived threw this time, and I'm glad the younger generation is learning
right so.

I was seriously crying when he said that 😂 This is one of the most fun reaction videos ever haha.
Lmao..me too. That was great
It's funny but it's so off, she's rich and thinks she can buy her way into heaven. She thinks that the power that money conferred to her on Earth can buy her divinity. A gold digger just wants the money of others.
I just discovered you two today and I absolutely love you both. ❤️❤️
I’m 65 and saw LZ 4 times live.
Once in the front row. I think that was 1974 and my ticket cost around $25. Those were the days of rock & roll. ❤️
First released in 1971 and still as fresh today as it was then, you never get tired of this masterpiece it takes you to another dimension.
Don't try to hard to interpret. Here's what Robert Plant said: "its abstraction... Depending on what day it is, I still interpret the song a different way - and I wrote the lyrics."
well. Someone that can shift through time and space has the luxury of being able to utter those lyrics and be taken seriously.
Your explanation makes sense to me. I personally experience what Robert Plant described. I interpret the words to the song differently at times. The way she is buying her stairway, the coin she is using, varies.
its complete nonsense. lol

Stairway To Heaven is one of the crown jewels of rock n roll, and should be on everyone's top 10 list...If it isn't, then listen again!
One of my favourites!!!
You got the meaning in a way Chris. The woman represents a society that is arrogant and materialistic. She believes she can buy anything, including her entry to Heaven.
I would love for you guys to hang with this little old lady sometime and share an appreciation of some great tunes from my era
When we first heard that song back in the day we knew we were standing in the shadows of history and greatness.
I would give my left arm to go back in time and be able to experience all the great 60's, 70's, and 80's bands like the people did that lived during those times. Sabbath, The Doors, LZ, Rolling Stones, Clapton...just to name an extremely small amount of bands I'd love to hear back when they first came out. Easily the three best decades for music...although I really love the 90's too.
And we were higher than a kite. 😂
Lyrics aside, this song is truly a masterpiece of music. And it just builds and builds and it's just so god damn good
It's progressive
Lyrics are damn good. It would take an extraordinary mind to write something like this.
Y’all crack me up! I love how you both intensely listen to each note and each word. I love it when you get so excited about songs I’ve loved for years. You’ve interpreted songs I’ve been listening to for a lifetime and never really knew what they were about. It’s really cool you can appreciate music that was made before you were born and outside your preferred genre. Thank you! You both are lots of fun!
Not a gold digger, it's a picture of all of us trying to make it through life and find truth and we can make it into goodness if we change the road we're on.
You guys are awesome. 67 year old here. Probably listened to this song hours and hours in my whole life.

FIFTY! FREAKING!! YEARS!!! and I still fall deep into this tunes spell every time.
@@nightthornkvala94132 Oh, and Nights in White Satin!
I first heard this song at age 14 when it came out. I understood the Stairway to Heaven to be drugs, probably LSD or shrooms. All my friends thought the same thing. "Your head is hummin and it won't go..."
This song came out when Tolkien's Hobbit and Lord of the Rings books became very popular with teenage readers, and the strings/recorders(whistle/flute sounds), and lyrics fed into the fantasy vibe.
Brother, I'm in my mid-70's and I'm digging their vibe!
When this album came out my Grandmother bought it....thinking it was a Christian album...😄. The next time we came to visit she says “This isn’t what I thought it was”....so she gave it to us!! We were THRILLED to have it.
Lol
My mom had a similar experience with a Marilyn Manson album.

The whole time I was thinking, wait until they get to the last verse 😂
I'm 66 years old, played drums in rock bands 70's 80s. I played alot of the rock you guys are listening to. It's very exciting to see people enjoy this music as I did years ago. Keep it up! You two are awsome!!
Absolutely love these kids appreciating what we grew up with. Not saying there are no talented artists anymore, but this was old school. People coming together, playing instruments with a passion and writing meaningful songs. With The Led it just all comes together.
I think there are still plenty of talented musicians. It’s just that the music industry has changed. Everything needs to be a hit. There is no room for the really great deep tracks that we had. There are no concept albums anymore. It’s all singles. If you don’t produce commercial hits, you get dropped from the label. The good music is out there, it’s just hard to find
Man it warms my heart to see young people looking back at the talent that was the 50's, 60's, and 70's. From Mo Town to Rock and Roll there is a whole World to discover. In those days all those rock groups didn't just sing, they wrote the songs, wrote the music, played the instruments, mixed the recordings, and even drove the damn bus to the shows. There was no bull shit "auto-tune" like today. Those people had talent, and they were deep into their style and had intellect. The songs tell amazing stories, and have deeper hidden meaning than any of the stuff today. Awesome response to this stuff you guys... LOVE IT!
I might start calling them "Led Zeppelean" from now on.
Cracked me up! I love their reactions to all the phenomenal music that we are familiar with.

I subscribed, and what I like about you guys is that 1. You appreciate musical skill and craftsmanship, and 2. You two look like you're really having fun together. You guys are an awesome couple, and that fun rubs off and I have a good time watching you two interact and appreciating stuff that I grew up with. Awesome, you two!
I discovered Led Zeppelin when I was a teenager in the 90s and it blew my mind! Seeing these kids rock out brought tears to my eyes 💗
Hey. I'm 66 years old. I first heard this when I was in high school. I must have heard it 1000 times and it STILL brings chills and a tear to my eye. I loved watching your reactions while knowing what was still to come. As for the meaning of the lyrics, like everything musical, the meaning is whatever you get from it. There are no wrong answers. The "whistle" you mentioned is actually a "Recorder" - looks a bit like a clarinet but with no keys - just little holes. Glad to have stumbled on your vid. A joy to watch. The next best thing to hearing music is sharing it. Stay well.
Same here. I am about your same age. I actually never liked that song all that much at the time. Thought it was overproduced and a rip-off from Taurus (by Spirit). Zep was well-known to rip things off from people and not give them credit. But, as I was listening to this song, I felt the same way you did, e.g. knowing that drum break was coming, and knowing THEY didn't know that. It's a pretty dramatic break, for sure. I'd like to see them react to something by Cream, say Crossroads, or maybe even Toad, or a live version of Sunshine of Your Love. We had some outstanding music in our day for sure.
🤘
It's the only recorded instance of a Recorder sounding good.
You have discovered why they are called "The Hammer of The Gods"
Ha. Immigrant Song! Peace Mike. Stay safe.
Wtf, no one call em that way
My generation of music. In 1973, this song was always popular for the last song of the after school sock hop. It’s wonderful to see new generations appreciate what real rock is. The incredible music which came out of the 1960s, 70s, 80s will live on.
I love these two. So fresh and honest with their reactions. Especially the BGs..lol
It's hard to believe this song will be 50 years old next year.
(Doubletake)whhhhaaaaaaaaat????
So will I!
I'm well over 50 now. I'm at the point that I can remember over 50 years.
yeah but in a way i totally believe it... it goes to the greatness of the song. it could be 100 or 500 years old and this song will always stand strong
@@bjenkin100 just... time FLEW!!!!
They don't make music like this anymore. I grew up during the best days for music!
The best music era of all time.
They absolutely do, though! You just gotta find it! Nightwish is musically and lyrically a masterpiece factory, and they're still going strong after more than 25 years now! Just released an incredible album this year, in fact!
Everybody thinks their generations music is the best. I love this song and many others from this era, but there are bands every bit and more talented now. They're just all underground bands because mainstream labels want to keep people dumbed down so they only push trash. But the real talent is in the independent scene.
@@TheJokesterSCR
It's definitely better than today's main stream music. 70s 80s 90s were the absolute BEST in my opinion. And I do agree underground music is better in today's time BUT I will say nothing can touch the variety of these 3 decades.

“If this ain’t a vibe what is it” All of Led Zeppelin’s music is a vibe 🥰
"And if you listen very hard
The tune will come to you at last."
For me, the singer is like a bard. He's telling us about a woman that tried to buy her way to Heaven. She didn't make it so her Heaven lies on the whispering wind. It's a cautionary tale.
Deep
But seriously there are generations of bards who cry everytime this song is heard. It's like the magnum opus of the craft.
You're right. I never knew the meaning. The only way to Heaven is through the grace of God and one's obedience to His commands.
@@davidpost428 wrong... It's what jesus said
It's about a woman who thinks that she can get whatever she wants because she is rich. The man singing is saying that he hates that about society. People thinking that they are better because they have something that someone else doesn't.
You’re accidentally turning into hippies during the song. Maybe that Woodstock arm waving just goes with zeppelin 😂
@Scorpio Way I hope they discover Lynyrd Skynyrd, especially a long live version of "Free Bird".
Many in my generation (teenagers in the 70s) consider this the best rock song of all time.

I dunno, Zeppelin is a German word after all, and the way Chris says it is pretty close to a proper German pronunciation.
You guys make my heart❤️ smile. I love seeing the surprise and excitement on your faces when you react to the awesome music from past generations. The 60s 70s and 80s were awesome times with the best music. Never stop learning, loving or listening. Old school is the only school.

Dave Grohl said the great thing about music is that you can sing a song to 85,000 people and they will sing it back to you for 85,000 different reasons.
The song is about anything you think it is!
Well said!
This song climbs its own stairway to musical heaven, one step at a time; through instruments and vocals !!
This song is literally banned from being played in guitar stores so it don’t become overplayed and also it just sounds too good they hear the shit 100 times a day
I like your reaction to one of my all time favourite songs of all time. I have a little story to share about Stairway to heaven, My Grandfather had put me through Royal conservatory classical piano as a child, I did fairly well but learned more contemporary music as I aged the one I can still play from heart is Stairway to heaven, although it doesn’t sound as rocked out as Led Zeppelin’s masterpiece it is still quite lengthy and has all the varying parts and tempos. My Grandfather had sadly been fighting various cancers and had not been given long to live he had decided to die at his home which he had built surrounded by his family instead of in the hospital hooked up to machines and alone, on the day I went to see him he was resting in the room with the piano I had played on since a child so I played him the only song I could remember by heart which happened to be Stairway to heaven, I was blessed to be able to remember and play for the Man who had allowed me that opportunity and every time I hear that song now it means something so much different to me,truly bought that stairway to heaven and it was worth all the gold.

Spot on especially the live version
Led Zepplin and many bands from the 60s used poet metaphors in their lyrics. My generation back then were romantics in many repects. It's so heartwarming to see that you get the vibe.

Best couples reaction yet to Stairway to Heaven
You guys are adorable. When I was a teenager every guy I knew that could hold a guitar learned how to play this.
I learned how to play this on guitar except for the solo. It was just to hard. I always wanted to learn how t o play it. Its one of the hardest solos ever in rock and roll.

zakk19777 yes indeed, it is a cardinal sin to play it in record shops.
I haven't seen a reaction like this, it kind of reminds me of when us older people first heard it on the radio. We were like "what kind of magic is this?".
you misspelled 'sorcery'
The sound systems available were quite primitive , which made the live performances much more memorable
Exactly
Lee Fithian sorry, but you mistakenly believe that sound systems back in the early 70’s were primitive when in fact most people had better sounding systems in the 70’s then the compressed digital music most people listen to today.
Ah , not ignorant , just pointing out that the tech today ( not the fucking iPod) can reproduce sound much the same as an 8K OLED monitor against a 480 resolution black n white tube television can reproduce films from that era , it’s fine that you appreciate , as do I what a good stereo back then did for lifting skirts
It's amazing what you forget as you get older. It takes a new generation to help me re-appreciate the masterpieces I grew up with.
I've been singing " If the STARS are closed" all my life. 🤣🤣
It's incredible to think that this song is nearly 50 years old. (It'll be fifty next year!) It'll last as long as recorded music exists.
