    Man you are like the only person who does reactions who truly understand how great this man was, not only in the reaction world but hip hop fans in general, much respect you.
    I know you got a lot of Tupac requests but heres my two cents, Lifes so hard, Bury me a G, Against all odds, Violent, Old School, Changes, Deadly combination, Last Wordz,, Papaz song, Temptations.

    ANOTHER GREAT REACTION HOMIE! Ok, time for breakdown! 1. U are right about the song sounding similar to No Diggy because Pac took their beat as he was alluding to on the outro. The real why he took the beat because Dr.Dre was on it. Thats who Pac was dissing on his 2nd verse, Dre had left Deathrow hence the reference "searching for pay day no longer Dre Day (Dre had a song called Dre Day) arrivederci" and he did the song with the singing group Blackstreet hence the reference, "loving them suckers cause u simliar". 2. There are 4 singers on this song (K-Ci and JoJo, Aaron Hall and Danny Boy) the real why its 4 singers because Blackstreet had 4 singers in their group. Pac did the rapping on this song and Dre did the rap on No Diggy. This song was a Pun (diss) towards them. Along with taking their beat but also showing that singers on Toss It Up was real singers that's could sing better and Pac held it down on the rap end. No comparison when comes to rap between Pac and Dre. 3. Aaron Hall the singer on Toss It Up had beef with Teddy Riley from Blackstreet at the time, they was in a group 2gether back in the 80s call Guy ( they did songs like Let's Chill, Jam etc.) 4. The 2nd verse by Pac started off with him doing scheme of his songs "Now How Do You Want It, What's Ya Phone Number, I Get Around, Cali (California) Love to my true thugs Picture Me (Rolling) Now Still Down for that Deathrow sound". 5. Fun Fact: the producer of Toss It up name is Demetrius Shipp Sr., his son is Demetrius Shipp jr and he was the one to play Tupac in the All Eyez On Me movie ( that's crazy right) !

  • @studical7785
    @studical7785 Před 2 lety +30

    Fun fact, Tupac recorded this album in 3 days and it was meant to be sort of an underground release / mixtape. That’s why a lot of the production was so stripped back and maybe not as polished. Pac just wanted to get things off his chest while working on his upcoming studio album _One Nation_ which was an east-west coast collaboration. Unfortunately he passed away before finishing it but he was really trying to end the coastal beef that he felt he took part in creating. At that point in time, things had started to really getting out of hand, gangs were getting involved, people were losing lives etc.
    Meanwhile he was also working on 2 movies, 2 film soundtracks, an outlawz collab album and had multiple business ventures. The man did not sleep!

      @@demetriusclark2981 I just double checked and you’re correct. It was scheduled to be released March 1997 as a part of his 3 album deal but not under Death Row, rather Inerscope. 2Pac was never really signed to Death Row in the first place!

    The second guy after Pac's first verse is Danny Boy. You should've done the official video version, then you'd have seen each artist. Plus all the smoking hot chicks they had in the warehouse for the vid.
    The blistering final verse was for Dre, as he'd left Deathrow in Jan 96 to form Aftermath Records. He'd produced No Diggity for Blackstreet around mid 96 which prompted Pac to jack their beat for this joint right here. Ironic because Pac was actually friends with Dave Hollister of Blackstreet and he even sung on the vocals for tracks like Brenda's Got A Baby and Keep Ya Head Up...

    @17:50 “How do you want it? What’s your phone number? I get around, California love, to my true thugs (strictly for my nikkas), Picture me Rolling ” he just mentioned some of his albums all in the same verse while rhyming. Genius!
    And closed it by saying good by to Dr.Dre for leaving, in Italian the language of the mafia (the Don Killuminati) arrivederci!

    Not sure if it was mentioned although towards the end of Tupac Life on DeathRow Records 2Pac and Dr.Dre had a Fall out. And Dre Left DeathRow Records. 2pac Stole this beat from Dre No Diggity to show him he was rocken it wrong. And this is what happens when you cross the Row.
