I'm obsessed with this song, all the tracks they've released so far from the album are great, but this one has a very nostalgic feeling I can't fully describe that hooked me from the first listen. Great stuff.

This, Passenger, Fables, and Mr. Credit are the best on this album and remind me of their old sound.
Gran Hotel is a masterpiece. I find a lot of the album sounds like Paul's solo album, Banks.

I love that Paul had to walk and sing backwards to move forward while the rest of the video goes backwards.
If I were Paul I'd ask the actors and director if they could just sip champagne and dance inebriated backwards 😛 This was perfectly executed
Literal comment; It's because the story is the perspective from the East (think Eastern Civilization and how books read backwards). Casa mel is also a biblical reference to the house of milk and honey, or the land of milk and honey. All stories of nature are told in a backwards direction. All western civilization stories play in the direction you're used to but it is the western perspective that is actually backwards. The beginning of all western stories are actually the end of the story from the natural perspective. This song is actually a tale of hate and fighting that turns into love in laughter. The tragedy at the beginning is the metaphor love and happiness at its end.

Paul banks and the rest of interpol are just amazing artists they craft such dark introspective lyrics that connect to the deepest part of your soul and move you in a way that can't be exlpained I just love them so much.
This band deserves more recognition. They're much better than they initially appear. So talented.

@@dangercat8919 what? lmao they're one of the most famous Post-Punk bands in the world, they're put among the greats like Joy Division and rock like The Strokes. They have several Gold Awards in several countries and topped the charts of many and sell out arenas all the time. Interpol is my favorite band of all time and saying they're underrated is ridiculous lol. Maybe you just hadn't heard of them before.

OMG this song is so special for me. My boyfriend and me are huge fans of Interpol, and a while ago we had a quick weekend getaway in Cozumel, so now we both have our song.

Another amazing song and as another someone else noted there’s definitely something nostalgic about this one. Maybe it’s because Paul looks like a younger version of himself, great look by the way it’s almost as though he hasn’t aged. Looking forward to seeing you play in Melbourne, Australia again, please don’t leave it too long between visits.

Here from Ecuador South America it's 4 in the morning and there's nothing sweeter than listening to Interpol. I heard them for the first time in a coffee shop in New York. Since then I have not stopped listening to them.

The most interpol sounding track to date, almost like going back to the root sound we all fell in love with. This track proves they dont really need dengler but just imagine how different this would sound with Carlos's touch. Still a great song nevertheless
Yeah, now that u mention it, I think that's the reason why they put Big shot city after Gran hotel, cause as u said this song hits home, and Big shot is like a refeshing newer style but with their intact essence
This is complete trash compared to anything they made with Carlos.
I dunno. Good bassists are hard to find and all, but Carlos was a showboating, atonal distraction and I see why they subbed him out. You have to have been around bands to get why it's a problem I suppose. Unity of vision is everything, you can't have people who fuck with your flow like that. Glad I'm a writer and don't have to fire my rhythm section lol.
