In Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), Qi is the generic term for energy, or vitality. Qi is necessary for all life processes: proper organ function, circulation of blood, metabolism of body fluid, growth and development, warming the body, defending against illness, and transforming food into energy. The signs and symptoms above are indicators of Qi Deficiency. When Qi is deficient in the body, the mind can’t perform optimally. - Zábava

is constipation also caused by qi deficiency?
Yes. The spleen makes Qi so a lagging spleen leads to qi deficiency and spleen deficiency also slows bowel transit.
