  • Families Stuck in the Past: Moving Them Forward Into a Future Focused Reunification Process
Individuals and families going through a reunification process often find themselves stuck in the scenarios and memories of past trauma, or in the sadness of their current situation. Many times, the therapeutic process focus more on exploring the negative interactions between family members, rather than focusing on how to help the family move forward into more positive experiences. When is it helpful in the reunification process to understand past events and explore current family behaviors, and when is it more beneficial to help them refocus on their future together? This presentation will offer the kind of common scenarios experienced by alienated parents and families going through reunification, and discuss strategies for moving beyond limiting mindsets. We will explore the neuroscience behind positive and negative emotions, and the importance of incorporating gratitude and appreciation into the healing process. In addition this presentation will offer suggestions for how to help our clients remain future focused in their personal lives, and in our own clinical practice with families.

How are we going to even hope we are going to get a qualified Reunification Therapy in Germany when the so called “professionals” have barely heard about PA? And even who heard about PA is in denial of it and only worsened the situation!
PASG, you have done a great work!

This is not PASG. This is Family Access-Fighting for Children's Rights and Families Divided TV. My thoughts are that perhaps you get as many of these videos out to the professionals there in hopes they will begin to understand the abuse of alienation.

The quality and content of this particular video is excellent. First, the presenter is wearing a lavalier microphone which makes her voice come across crystal clear and loud. Second, it appears she is reading off of a teleprompter, which means she is not stumbling over her words, losing focus on her content, saying a lot of distracting "uh's" or "ah's," etc. Third, the lighting is great, and her graphics are excellent. And of course, the subject matter, that of successfully reuniting with one's alienated children, is simply fantastic, and what so many of us alienated parents, who have no contact with our children, desperately need to hear about. Thank you! You really did a great job on this video.

@@FamiliesDividedTV Thanks for the info. I watch many of "FamiliesDividedTV" and many of the speakers fail to use external (like what Lisa is using) microphones which results in poor audio, distracting from the great content the channel provides. I would highly encourage "FamiliesDividedTV" to share with all your presenters the necessity of improving their audio by using these inexpensive lavalier microphones or even earbuds (or other types of microphones) to help improve their presentation. Your content is so valuable and it would be a shame to have people not watch them because of the poor audio content (which happens more frequently than one might imagine). But I want to thank you for your great efforts at getting these speakers to come on the program. They are very helpful.
