      mongo0606 , RV's came with cams that placed the torque range on the motor really low like 1000-4000 range instead of many other cams that you can get like the 3000-7000 range cams. these cams create torque monsters that can do burnouts by just pressing the gas pedal down lightly.

      @@bndtglitchedrobot9718 & mongo0606 - Not neccesarily. RV's generally come with the stock powerplant.
      "RV Cam" is a 1980's marketing tag for a small performance cam.
      Originally, just a stock cam with slightly increased lift.
      When your cam specs stay fairly close to the stock specs for any engine, this keeps the peak power lower in the RPM range, compared to most "performance" cams.
      This feature was marketed heavily by advertisers and appealed to off-roaders, thus the "Recreational Vehicle" or "RV" nomenclature.
      The term is still a popular one today.

      Basically a stock cam. GM used the same cam with pickups and RV's.

    Why bother it's doing that flea nothing for you in any way you might have got three horsepower and 6 foot pounds of torque
