Cheers Dave. Just make sure the left hand switchgear cabling is not stretched in any way. The internal wires plug in and they can come out easily. Make sure the external cable tie on that inside edge of the left hand switch cube is tight.

I put the 20mm risers on and it worked out great for me just fine. I thought about the 30 up and 20 back ones made by SW-Motech also but went the cheaper route and easy to get those in the future. Yours look inviting and I will investigate those as well. Great video Sir!
Terry, have you tried the Rox risers? I was thinking of getting them as I have a long ride coming up in two weeks. I believe the bars on your generation are 20 mm closer to the rider than mine to begin with.
A little bit of comfort goes a long way on a motorcycle! I think I'll just lose a few pounds ...haha. That was almost a baaaaad day for the little feller.
My arms must be really short or my seat has bedded in and I'm slightly pulled back from the bars but these things do niggle you on a longer run alright. "A baaaaad day", good grief Ron! :-) I had my heart in my mouth for the little fella.
I want to do this on another bike but the priciple applies and I think the gains are tenfold. Less strain on the arms and back, leading to a more upright position that also influences the knee angles and the seat pressure on the butt and by butt I mean the ischium bones.
Yes, this made a difference to all of these for me. The biggest difference though was taking the pinch out of my shoulders which got quite painful after a while. Glad I did it.

Reason I removed them was that they were making it pretty unnatural to go a bit sporty every now and then. My cruising position was so relaxed that I found it really annoying to lean forward for fast bends and turns. My elbows would get reaaally bent. I guess one can't have them all :) Probably in the future someone will make a "smart" "AI" controlled bike that adjusts the riding position based on riding mode.
I put these risers on my 2020 T1200, and I ruined the clutch-switch. The Tiger did all but start after that. I couldn't figure it out myself so I took the Tiger to the dealer. Set me back 170 euro's, but I consider that as 'learning money'. But the goal was the same as Terry had, and that succeeded. :-) So be carefull with the cables guys!
Hello Terry, found your channel just today, but already enjoying it very much, because your video´s explaining so much details which you will not find in any manual. Regarding the riser from Voigt I do have a doubt about the closer distance of 20mm to the pilot. For people who are using their bike partly off-road (stand-up), I see it more as a disadvantage. Do you have any experience with this riser and it handling off-road? Using exactly the same bike as you, just another colour. Greetings from Dirk (Brazil)
Hi Dirk, thanks for the kind words. I don't really do off-roading so any standing up I do is to stretch my legs! These bars suit me as I have relatively short arms but I can see how the rear attitude may not help if you are standing up for an extended off-road period, you might feel a little tucked in.
This one is about as tight as I would go without doing more work to create a bit more slack. It is easy to pull the electrical cables out of the power block if too tight. You will find a small cable tie holding them on to stop them falling out.

@@snakecoils excellent news, yes, big difference. I actually snagged a cable in the left had switchgear and unplugged it preventing me starting the bike but I have put it right, phew!
They are "Grip Puppies" and allow a less curled hand for comfort. It dents the effect of the heated grips a little but I always found those quite weak anyway.
Putting risers on your bike unfortunately does not help much to bring the bars back towards the rider because your just going up on an angle and does not give much coming back. But those risers look to help solve the reach issue, I have no idea why these motorcycle manufacturers can't give you some extra slack in the cables, especially the hydraulic brake lines. In 5'9" tall and I have the same issue, my Tiger hurts my shoulder blades and my lower back, I wish my arms were 2" longer. I hate that I cannot adjust my clutch and break levers down without moving the brake reservoirs and the mirrors, is it ok that the brake reservoirs are not level, or will they start getting air in the system. When your ridding in a standing position you need the levers down.
Yes, my initial risers gave relief as the angle makes them marginally closer, but the higher position does help too as they are nearer your shoulders on the vertical plane. But as you say these angled risers go one step further which does genuinely bring the bars much closer. The fluid reservoirs at a small angle will be no problem at all but I did end up with by bars at the level position in the end. If they are reasonably well topped up it would be hard to introduce air though, the factory original position of the reservoirs on my Daytona were quite angled and they were fine. Fortunately for me I rarely go off-road because I would be rubbish, so I only stand to stretch the legs now and then.

I did loosen the cable bracket under the tank but most people have found it not necessary. It is a good idea to release the clutch line from the front metal guide though. I have it running through a loose cable tie connected to that guide.
Was going to order the 20mm but saw this, as since I’ve lowered my tiger front and back I’m more leaned forward, so this will help great
Great, they made a considerable comfort improvement for me and took the pressure off the shoulder blades. One of the best mods I made.

Yes, the Gen 3 were much closer so this is a good solution for me and you would probably benefit more with the fully adjustable larger ROX system.

Hello! How tall are you? I ordered risers as you already had sw motech installed. Now I'm worried that I need another option (20+30)
I’m 6 foot but do have relatively short arms for my size. The std SW-Motech ore excellent but I needed a little more to relax the shoulder.

A very unconventional handlebar design from Triumph. You cannot use generic products.
Yes, a tapered bar too which can be restrictive in some choices.
