    What's crazy is his o line was composed of third stringers and Walk-Ons this year. Will never know how great he really could have been. I pray the Giants really got their oline situated.

      Frank Masselli Chill dude, no need to say that. That's rude. I think they have they're o-line fixed with new drafts and getting rid of people who weren't needed. Saquon has SO MUCH potential and I reallllllllllllllllllllllly hope my Giants dont fuck it up. Like, really hope. His career doesn't deserve that.

      No doubt about it. He is the real deal but "Once in a generation?" A generation is 25 years. Elliot ran for 240+ yards in the national college football championship game and as a rookie who only played 15 games ran for 1631 yards. By way of comparison, it took Barry Sanders five seasons to rush for that many yards; Walter Payton three seasons, Emmitt Smith three seasons, and Adrian Peterson two seasons. If I had to pick between the two I'd go with Elliot. He still has the better line by far, while the Giants have the superior receivers.

    • @testoboss
      @testoboss Před 6 lety

      Talking as a true prospect, saquon's athletic abilities are unheard of, his hands are real good so is his route running and his vision is amazing. But i would agree because a player has amazing potential doesn't mean he'll reach it, that being said as a true prospect he is unmatched

    • @andredarin8966
      @andredarin8966 Před 6 lety

      That remains to be seen. As an example, Justify just won the Triple Crown. Thirty five years ago there was a horse called Devil's Bag who was considered the quintessential racehorse. he never made it to the Triple Crown. To say that "as a true prospect he is unmatched" is a bit of a reach. Are you suggesting no running back in the history of the NFL or in College history has ever had his potential? It sounds to me like you're echoing some jazzed up scout--the kind who called Harry Connick Jr. "The Next Sinatra". just l;ook at this link and tell me Barkley has unprecedented potential: What's he going to do? Run for 2,000 yards a year? Break Erick Dickerson's rookie record? Do you know who else was compared to Jim Brown? Duane Thomas. What can you tell me about him?

      Shannon Antoinette you should do your research next time. The giants leading rusher in week 3 had 22 yards, and the leading rusher in week 15 had 39 yards. So tell me again how Darkwa tore us apart. Plus in week 3, the giants were much different than in week 15. The giants weren’t injury riddled in week 3. They still had OBJ, Brandon Marshall, and Sterling Shepard

    Tell me how the cut at 3:31 is not the best cut in history... In a half a second Saquon stopped on a dime one-legged, changed direction and re-accelerated around 4th rounder, Bronco Josey Jewell who flies by. C'mon! There are guys who cut like that, but not with only one leg with the re-acceleration to outrun the guy in his hip pocket who didn't stop and jump cut but still couldn't catch him until 15 yards later with 5 Hawkeyes finally figuring him out after about 20 yards

If you try to stack the box Odell,Shepard, OR Engram will be free if you double team try to double team any of them, Saqoun will be able to run or catch the ball from the backfield, it makes Saquons job alot easier.

      Theres certainly room for improvement but compared to the last few years its severely upgraded. Nate Solder is a massive upgrade at left tackle, and Giants drafted one of the best guards in the draft, who excels in run blocking. left side at least is insanely better, and they could easily focus on upgrading the rest of the oline in the next couple years.

    • @ZSonnenblick
      @ZSonnenblick Před 6 lety

      @Shannon Antoinette Just because it might have been better a former season doesnt take away from the talent the current cowboys o-line has. as for your question - you do realize they have the single best center in Frederick, arguably the best guard in Martin, and easily one of the best tackles in tyron smith - you realize that right? tyron smith missed a few games last year, perhaps clouding peoples memory, just so happened to be games cowboys also struggled in- sure he wasnt the direct cause but it played a role. while they need improvement in the remaining 2 spots have 3 of your 5 oline all in the top3 of their position id say makes your oline extremely strong..wtf you talking about. and im not even a cowboys fan...just able to recognize talent

WR Odell Beckham,WR Sterling Shepard,TE Evan Engram,RB Saquon Barkley, last year Sterling Shepard all most have 1000 yards so did Evan Engram.. last year Evan Engram should been voted to the pro bowl.. Evan Engram was one of top 3 TE in rec yards like 800 plus yards

    I don't understand this draft pick at all. Barkley is pure speed and power, but zero instinct or ellusiveness. He has one gear, zero twitchiness, and very few surprises, apart from his above-average speed. Looks stiff and overly bulky, like he spends too much time in the weight room.
    Hope I'm wrong, but I can see him being an above average tailback, and no more. If you want to see a star tailback, look at Gurley or Bell--they know how to make people miss....

    • @SapphicTwist

    Barkley is a nice RB with great physical tools. But he's not the type of guy who's going to wreck the league.
    He doesn't play strong for a guy as big and powerful as he is, and it takes him a little bit to get to max speed. IMO too many defenders chase him down before he can ever break free.
    I don't see Ladainian Tomlinson or Marshall Faulk.
    If Barkley had played in the SEC, he would have been the 4th best RB in the conference.

    • @tubbymcfatfuk202
      @tubbymcfatfuk202 Před 6 lety +6

      No one saw Leveon coming. And when Zeke played against elite defenses out of conference, he was still a beast.
      Barkley played against one stacked defense in Ohio State in 2017 and they shut him down.
      Saquon is a great prospect but he's being overrated.

      bigstink9 Penn State had nowhere near the overall talent that Ohio State had. I'm certain they put eight or nine defenders in the box to make his life hell and the Buckeyes have studs on the defense to make that happen. Cut from the same cloth as that piece of shit Elliott with the ability to change an offense, nothing is being exaggerated.

      I agree. Zeke wasn't the star at Ohio state🤔he saved Ohio state in every game. I watched every game of his last two years. Zeke is better than Barkley. Barkley does all this off of traps and wild toss plays. He is a great college player but, he is not an every down back and the NFL will eat it up. Zeke does all that and is a heads up back. If they came out same year. I'd take Zeke Everytime. I'm a Miami hurricanes and Dallas cowboys fan. Love hate love thing here. I hated the buckeyes but, most definitely wanted Zeke!!! And we got em.
