I’ve never heard a single story about Adam Sandler being anything but a sweet and humble dude.
Bobby Lee has a story about Adam being kind of an ass to him.
@@ankit0yadav0rock
You mean the guy who told stories about raping a 12yo girl in Tijuana and Sandler did not dig it and he told him so? Or is there another story?
You’re thinking Norm MacDonald
@@ankit0yadav0rock Bobby Lee has a victim complex, dude has has beef and been offended by everyone
I was a caterer for SNL 1990-1995 Sat. mornings 9:00am - 2:00pm. Adam shared an office right next to kitchen with Chris R
Chris F, David Spade. Adam was so kind so sweet natured so kind to others. Really dear man
I love stuff like this. Thanks for sharing it.
that’s awesome!
Nice to hear.
I love when Conan brings old friends on the show that he doesn't have to flatter. The stories become much more vivid somehow.
Adams gone from the most manic presence to the calmest.
Age? Affluence? Better life through pharmaceuticals? Some or all of the above?
@@istdochallesegal3427 most likely age and fame and being a parent
He had all that huge success, yet is so humble in his demeanor. He is just such a likeable guy
Achieving your life goals and making a mountain of money can do that. Good on ‘im 😊
@@istdochallesegal3427Life stages happen. It's strangely confounding to people.
Adam himself is my celebrity meet story. He was eating a meal with cast and crew from the movie Bulletproof. The group kept growing and tables were joined. Adam was giving a stunt man a hard time for hamming up a death scene. It was surreal. When I got up to leave, nervous, but I did go up to him and say thanks for the evening. What a great memory some 30 years ago.
Sona could not be more uninterested when filming ads. I love it.
It's funny, but nothing will ever top the "Mangrate" ads by Norm Macdonald and guests. Glorious!
@@davidbright6790Yes! They are the so perfect 😂 Classics
Adam Sandler broke my heart in Reign Over Me. It's a masterpiece.
Watching this episode and hearing how nervous these two giants were to meet other celebrities is very humbling and relatable
Right? It’s as if they’re trying to one up each other on their compliments and praises for each other.
It's so funny how humble Adam still is after all these years of fame. He still isn't sure if he belongs at the adult table, even though we all know he does.
The Adam Sandler cassette tapes were amazing. Me and my friends all had it and played it all the time.
HEY GOAT!
“I’ve got a snake!”
I liked to listen to them at a medium pace.
I always liked The Longest Pee!
Highlight of Adam's comedy album sketch they're talking about:
Buffoon (Adam): i bet you've got really hairy balls!
Dean (Conan): yes, it's a veritable forest down there.
I listened to these tapes a million times
it's been probably 25 years or so, and I was already a fan of Adam from his movies and SNL, but had never listened to his stand-up or cassettes. I got a padded envelope from a local synagogue with promotional material from the church, and inside was also a CD-ROM of Adam Sandler's Hanukkah song. I watched it a ton of times and kept it for years. I still love that song, and I also appreciated that the synagogue was using it as a plug. Good advertising.
Great show. Sandler is a wonderful guest.
oh man..the buffoon character with Conan,I remember some of that
Buffoon-"I bet you got really hairy balls".
Conan- "Yes,it's a veritable forest down there".
Lol I just transcribed this exact same line here from memory before I saw yours 😂 the best
@@pizzalunch382 🤣
Punch Drunk Love was amazing! It was nice to see him actually act!
One of my all time faves ❤
His acting in actual drama films is actually crazy good.
I love Sona acting her ass off on the adverts 😂😂😂😂
Great part of the conversation, I enjoyed it immensely
I agree. I’m haunted by the memory of spending an hour in the company of the great Roger Moore in an empty airport lounge and ignoring him to give him his space. Worse, I now realise he’s chatty and would have welcomed a conversation. Dooh.
Kind of hope Adam ends up doing a mob movie or at least something else where he has the opportunity to channel James Caan.
Have you seen Adam Sandler in Bulletproof?
I am in podcast heaven right now.
Matt timed that "Obama" one-liner quite masterfully, LOL😆👍
It's so wild to have followed the careers of these two. They've both been so ingrained into my whole life with the Simpsons, late night, snl, movies, and comedy albums. Really appreciate that both of them have been around my whole life, they've brought a lot of joy into a lot of people's lives.
Im pretty proud of who i chose as my comedy heroes as a kid cuz these guys are such amazing humans and have proved it over 30 years.
@@jissanhuq3792 for sure, how far they've come and how much they've accomplished and how grounded they seem for being major major celebrities, love them both.
@@patmccrotch5373 they both still do very small gigs, go out in public like regular people. I live in LA, seen Sandler at a mall with his kids just being a person. I’ve seen Conan at small improv shows with 20 people there talking to everyone… n i mean very recently.
@@jissanhuq3792 that's really awesome to hear that they're genuinely grounded dudes and it's not just talk on a podcast.
@@patmccrotch5373 yeah they truly are and as evident by their circles they bring up the people who help them to great heights too. Lol dont love sandler comedies much anymore but he’s also personally just as hilarious as always. Id be hesitant to ever bother them in public but its nice to see they can be comfy here n traverse the world without issue. It’s heartening to see their success being decent and hope inspiring too, super rare in any industry
Glad he got into serious roles… Hustle is my favorite movie of his 🏀🧡
You both are legends in my book! You two brought so much happiness in my life!😄
CONEY!
Love this Miller Lite commercial, it's the cockarooo of beers!😅😅😅
Chilling Chumbs next summer bit...I live 5 minutes from Miller Valley, home of Miller, in Wauwatosa...
You need to get Miller Brands/Coors etc. And do a Bluemoon beer ad...COCKAROO. BLUUUEEEMOON IN A CONAN VOICE
This is a touching episode. A lot of history spoken here.
those early Sandler cds were a staple of my adolescence.
You buttonhooked me. I didn't know you were gonna buttonhook me.
I got a snake mang
You headed to the Rag--oo fest-e-val?
@@ThunderPants13
it was slithering this way and that
Toll booth willy!
There was talk of gerbils....
"In my own way" ❤
Tickets please.
Great convo!
I have a massive crush on Sona.
I really enjoy these podcasts, getting a glimpse at people outside of the roles they play in our culture. I grew up watching Billy Madison, Big Daddy etc. and loved those Sandler movies as a tiny child, but found a lot of his movies just kind of lost me over the years and in general it was a real bummer seeing all this stuff come out from him and almost all of it be kind of whatever. But it seems clear that Adam is just a great guy and still has an awesome sense of humor.
I really appreciate getting the opportunity to be a fly on the wall for these discussions.
You know it's good when the ad read gets a giggle 😅
I despise ad reads that are “conversational.” Even more fake than ‘real’ ads
What a wholesome conversation!
full video episodes plz
I remember these episodes, and teenage me loving it lol they were outstanding!
Guys pls upload the whole video. GOD DAMMIT
Punch Drunk Love, The Cobbler and Uncut Gems, are amazing movies.
Adam Sandler is a humble human, and genuinely sweet good guy.
That first album was crazy good. And all the talent that was on that album. Wow!
Oh man. We would listen to Adam Sandler's album my freshman year in college in '95. That's when I discovered Conan too. It took a couple of listens before I noticed that was Conan as the dean.
I need more Adam Sandler on Conan or podcasts talking like this I just need more Adam Sandler content because I can’t get enough of this
Two of my favourite humorous men alive.
Agreed! And you're interestingly enough one of my favourite chemical compounds!
Uncut gems is his best acting .Great movie
❤️💛💚 two of my favorites
When are you releasing the Conan Archives? DVD, VHS, Anything!! Please!!
How do you say hello to Paul McCartney? Someone so famous that they don't even seem like a real person. It's kind of like meeting King Arthur or something.
"Remember when you were in The Beatles?" - Chris Farley
"yeah yeah I do" - Paul McCartney
"that was cool" - Chris Farley
"yeah yeah it was" - Paul McCartney
McCartney died in early 70s
I’d say “hello”. Fame doesn’t make you any better or worse than anyone else.
It's funny how we always want more Conan. And Adam , as well as many othe performers out there. They've done so many great things. And by all means have earned retirement. But I just can't wait to see what they do next😊.
Conan!! When I was 15 me and my homies loved the buffoon skit!! I had no idea that was you!! Went back and gave a listen!! Sooo I loved your style before I even saw you on late night!! A veritable force down there!!❤❤❤❤
The Sandman and Co-Nan! So glad you guys are neighbors.
TOLL BOOTH WILLY
1996 in 6th grade hearing that for the first time, top five hardest I've ever laughed in my life. I still love it
Can we get an episode with a Norm Macdonald hologram?
Straight up COMEDY GOLD LOVE COCO & ADAM SANDLER
I love that Adam Sandler has always been humble, sweet, loyal to his friends and family and just all around a great guy. I will always watch whatever he puts out even if its not his best work because Adam is awesome.
Adam seems to be the perfect antithesis to Conan's academicism, and yet they're such good friends
this is great
Conan, how did you even interview Paul McCartney? You really kept your cool in that interview but if it were me I’d be a nervous wreck 😅😂
Farley did it best lol. “Member… you remember the time you were with the Beatles…”
@@jonathanwright5338That was awesome.
He’s just a guy.
@@Tonyhouse1168 To you, maybe.
i met al pacino backstage at a jonathan ross late night show when he was in nyc for a week must have been 1991. i was a just a young sound guy delivering some gear. he could not have been more laid back and cool. he got his own coffee and came up to talk to me. super nice guy.
Not Fully Formed Conan would be a great band name.
Reminds me of the Seinfeld episode… Keith Hernandez ends up saying hi to Jerry… Paul probably would have been happy to meet Adam.
Waaaaaaaaaaayyyyyy awesome awesome!!
✌️😎✌️
Adam Sandler was huge with me and my buddies in high school. We would straight up quote his albums out loud in the hallways.... This is not a compliment, Adam. Y'all got us into all kinds of trouble and made us very unpopular lol
It’s 2024. It’s never been less _Miller Time_ than it is right now.
I'm going to watch that first episode.
sonas "thats it" is so satisfying somehow lol
This is good
Hell, I'm old enough to remember Stud Boy from MTVs "Remote Control!"
Happy gilmore 2, He gives up golf and turns back to hockey, BEST MOVIE EVER , 100% blockbuster 🤘🤘👍👍🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Stories of celebrities star truck on other celebs!! Woooooooow!!
✌️😎✌️
Sandler is such a legend.. Even him just being a guest is entertaining than any of the movies of the socalled comedians nowadays..
feel like adam is like his younger self/ voice cos he knew conan then and humble and real cos he respects conan/ knew him before it all
The only ads I ever watch.
I like to think Conan wore a hoodie because he absolutely knew Adam would be wearing one.
Sandler hoping he means Billy Madison, not Babes Ahoy/Going Overboard 😂
Dude facts lmao
I worked with James Caan in 2002, he was still humbling the grips with his one armed pullups.
Two friends reminicing. How wonderful is that. 😊
loveee
Equally entertaining is Conan and Sona reading through the ads😅
They really put an in video ad read in a podcast clip?
Norm Macdonald said the only comedian he ever saw women "throw themselves at" was Adam Sandler.
Being humble is 100% normal
3:03 - 3:06 "we were all Jesus" lol
Oh god, The Buffoon…
….
“MY NEIGHBOR’S DOG HAS A--“
🤦♂️😂😂😂
I'm kind of surprised he passed up his chance to meet Paul and Ringo. Even nobodies would take their shot and do it given the chance. Reminds me of Charlie Kaufman in Adaptation.
Even though AS didn't talk to Paul McCartney, or Ringo, when he saw them at the restaurant he still got a really funny story out of the non-encounter. Btw, it must've been a vegetarian restaurant they were in, because McCartney is a committed vegetarian.
"I bet you got some real hairy balls!" "Yes, it's a veritable forest down there..." lol
CONIII!!
" you're the next james caan "
My brain : immediately pictures Adam Sandler as Paul Sheldon and Chris Farley as Annie Wilkes
"we're fans .. "
Caan was in that’s my boy with Sandler?
I think Adam could play an old comedian in a bio pic. Once he's older and gray naturally. He could play Mel Brooks or George Burns maybe something like that
It's surreal that snl group had megastars in their midst...Sandman, Chris Rock, Farley, David Spade and even rob Schneider... All them went on to big things... Now we get maybe 2 every few years
And that’s a small fraction of them.
is still funny
❤Bros❤
Even before he tried serious dramatic acting, ALL of his movies had heart and tenderness at the center. Even in his most manic and ridiculous roles, there's a certain sweetness and vulnerability in there. It makes him stand out from his contemporaries.
Hey,!. I do roast chestnuts!
I remember listening to Adam's Song Piece of S*** Car in my piece of s*** car
"Wanna bloody buddy?"
That Miller Lite ad read always makes me laugh. Sona is never so agreeable with him.
Adam should play Jimmy.
adam sandler is a legend and a funny guy
