This is a great interview indeed. Ghana missed the first industrial revolution normally referred to as the Agricultural Revolution. We also missed the Sevond Revolution, lso referred to as the Industrial Revolution. The nation again missed the third industrial revolution, normally referred to as the ICT Revolution. The World is now in the 4th industrial Revolution referred to as DATA Revolution. If Ghana continues with its Digital Agenda, it would surely never miss the 4th Industrial Revolution with Dr. Bawumiah leading the charge. May the good Lord help my homeland Ghana.

Brilliant submission by the Vice President. Another credit goes to the Host. He prepared for the interview. He wasn't rushing and snapping the Vice President with surprises. He knew when to interrupt. When to ask questions. He allowed Dr. Bawumia to relax and flow better.
    A very useful interview.

What do you mean by "Digital penetration"? Well, all the digital systems that he is talking about is bogus because it can be easily penetrated meaning easier to hack. Countries are now moving from centralised Digital systems to Blockchain decentralized digital systems the vice president clearly don't know what he is talking about. This Digitalisation systems was there before he came to power ok.

Great mind, Africa needs more men like him. I know such a change comes with a lot of sacrifices and that includes the hardships we facing but years from now people will appreciate the good work. Only a few will understand this. USA, UK and Europe went through all that over 100yrs ago and today they run the world. Africans can do so too but unfortunately our people hate change. Most Ghanaians only know how to complain and point fingers and not think about the long term benefits of todays hardships.

We are heading in the right direction and with leaders like Dr.Bawumia at the helm I remain very optimistic about Ghana's future. My problem with the digitization process is how little anyone speaks about the security and custody of the data collected. Ghana is using foreign internet and service providers who have in the past openly shown disdain to our concerns and sensitivities as a nation. So what oversight tools and protocols do we have in place to supervise their activities and protect our data? Is there any insurance to pay for any hack incidents, interruptions of services or stolen/misuse of our data? Do we have any plans to transition to a government operated or Ghanaian owned service providers? Thirdly, which branch of the government has control over the data collected and what system is being set up to prevent the domestic misuse of said data. Shouldn't we require that requests for data by foreign countries and entities gather a three fourth parliamentary approval or something to that effect? Digitizing our system is obviously the right way to go but we must learn from the difficulties other countries have faced in their attempts. I know for a fact that Ghana cannot request or demand data from any British system because they rightfully consider the mined data a sensitive state material. Maybe we should learn from them.
