how do you securely fix the coil bit to the end of the wire?

I used bread tie wire

@David-sc2sq pulled or cut the boot to expose it I can't remember then I stuck the coil wire trough cable wire and wrapped the metal strand from a breadtie around it then blacktaped the boot together

Totally ridiculous to have the dismembered the whole unit for a stupid spark plug wire

All these gas powered weed eaters are junk. Have had many brands over the years and they rarely last three years or more before they go bad. On my latest one, a BlackMax from WalMart, the spark plug wire has broken off inside the boot and is not making a connection, so therefore can not start it... Another one for the landfill.
