I remember watching the post fight videos where pacman says to dela hoya "you are still my idol" even after defeating him or even after getting KO'd by marquez, he smiled and thank the guy for a good fight. Pac's humbleness is one of reasons why I started cheering him on ever since. For me he is the greatest in his generation and arguably one of the best in boxing history the one and only 8 world division champion, pound for pound king. He wasn't just great because of his skill inside the ring but also because of his humanity outside the ring. A true quality of a people's champion.

Pacquiao is one of the greatest boxers of all time. That goes without saying. He may not exactly be top 1, but he is up there. But other than that, he also is one of the greatest athletes of all time. He has helped and changed the lives of millions of people, especially in the Philippines. He is a symbol of hardwork and grit. He literally came from nothing and worked his way up. He has showed his countrymen that poverty is not a hindrance for anyone to follow their dreams. When he finally decides to leave the sport, his legacy will not be of money, jewelries, cars or any of his material possessions. It will be of love, passion, hardwork, courage and inspiration. He has left footprints in time that will continue to live on, even after his lifetime. That is the greatest achievement any man could ever have.

I will always have this certain level of awe when watch ingrained Manny. Heâs not a fighter, heâs a boxer. A true sportsman. He doesnât taunt his opponents nor does he revel when they get injured. His skills and instincts reveal him as a pure artist. Iâm always impressed with his focus and composure in the ring. I seriously doubt youâll find another boxing legend as uniquely humble as Manny. Given all this, had he been the same size as several heavyweight champs, Iâd like to think heâd win over the likes of Ali, Frazier, Forman and especially Tyson (who had no composure at all). But thats just me.
Tyson loves Pacquiao so I wouldn't want to think who would win between the two. I just want one of them to get Mayweather on a street fight and hand it to him.

For me, when I saw him for the first time, it hooked me to follow boxing. The craze of finding out the history, boxing style and entertainment value, I got it everything from Manny. The most dynamic boxer ever.

Many may not agree but to me there is more to being a GOAT boxer. He is an epitome of hard work, grit and perseverance. Considering he came from poverty (Iâm talking about barely scraping by poor), turned his life around. Not only has he elevated his status in life, heâs also given back many times over to the underprivileged in the Philippines. You can criticize him for some of his other endeavors but youâd have to agree heâs admirable in the impact heâs made in boxing.
