- I've never been good at decoration, but today I decided to try and fix that.
Today, I tried to decorate a 2.2 platformer level I've been working on! Feedback is greatly appreciated! :)

oh boy oh boy, I sure do love using pixel blocks! They are definitely easy to use and the menu is not messy at all!

Tip for making spike designs: there are new spike glow objects in the blocks-tab that you can use so you don't have to use regular glow.
I genuinely enjoyed this, it helped me out with learning stuff about the editior! Usually you don’t really show how you do things but this helped a lot (with the stuff you did actually do in the video you showed how you did it for the most part)
Maybe use a wall block for your wall instead of a ceiling block so you can match the corner up properly??
robs fault for making them different blocks in the first place
Not even a ceiling block, its a floor block used for the wall and ceiling that are supposed to have their own blocks!

Tip: if you need a corner piece that doesn’t exist, doing a solitary block as a sort of corner cap also tends to work well
This video is what's helping me design the deco for my platformer level. I've never decorated before and I legit just make layouts
I think that he did a really good job, considering that this is his first time. If I had any advice, I would say to not mix with modern style deco (changing spikes) with the pixilated 2.2 style.

dont really feel like theres many other options for spikes, because i do not want to use the pixel spikes
@@sdslayer100Would crystals work?? I was scrolling through all the items and I noticed amethyst looking shards. They might for the purple color scheme that you chose.

yeah, ok, nice deco, but how tf did you build this in the first place! i can barely use the move trigger
You added effects but they are circles. Maybe make pixels, cubes or something like that

Everything you did in this video was done for.
1: the corner blocks for the bricks you were trying to use were correct but the left wall wasn’t correct.
2: in the block tab before the 2.1 blocks is new spike accessories that you can put on spikes. That’s how robtop created the explorers blocks.
3: if you want the explorers bricks to look better then there are these glow blocks next to the bricks you can use.
4: I recommend to decorate with chains.
5: your level looks off because the background needs to be darker.
6: if you are still reading this congrats, I didn’t think you had the attention span.

you dont have to put dont fade dont enter on everything, you can just put a stop enter effect trigger at the start of the level (the block with a red cross through it)
I mean... you can just select all and check don't fade and don't enter once you finish the level. It's way easier...

@@reinbew794 or you can place down one trigger and never have to worry ever again if you update the level

the blocks that go in the middle are small white dots for some reason they dont fill the entire square in tabs but when u place it it fills the grid
