I am going to share a story with you from 1989. I am still here to tell about it.
A friend of mine and I did that many many times with semi tires for his trucks.
He had seen it done and suggested we use it to mount his tires on rims
We did it exactly the same way.
Until one cold day it wouldn't ignite for some reason. He put little more in.
Took the torch and swung across it. It exploded like a rocket
The semi tire and rim both hit the ceiling hard in a fifteen foot tall shop.
It came back down and landed between us. Neither of us were injured somehow.
We both could have been killed from it. You will stand there in disbelief.
It also literally destroyed the tire. Little to much but you don't have a gauge.
Never did it again!!! It was fun until that day.
Please buy a beadblaster tank or bucket of bead mounting compound !!!!
    Please don't risk it!

I use a Cheetah 5 gallon air tank bead seater or a come along and wrap the cable around the outside of the tire back to the come along (loop). When you tighten the come along it will squeeze the tire and make the sidewalls push outwards and press the beads back onto the rim then they will air up (with the valve stem core removed while seating). I also use silicone spray lube on the tires and beads to lube them up to make them bead back up easier and prevent corrosion on the wheels. Nice video as always though, Miss Laura! Always good to see your smiling face!

Good job on the tire! Cleaning that rim off is so important. I popped the tire off the rim on my John Deere, got it back on, finally....and because I didn't clean all the mud off the rim the stupid thing had a very irritating slow leak for years. I finally took it to a tire shop and had it fixed. Just do it right the first time and be done with it.

Another thing that helps is to have a big tub or two of Camel's tire soap. You stuff it around the bead and rim. The soap is a wax like substance it will seal the gap between the tire bead and rim. As you air the tire up the soap will push out. You scrape it out to reuse latter. We used to have competitions to see who could get aluminum bud wheels off the ground higher😂 I was a diesel mechanic then fleet manager for over 30 years

It's a pretty common method for big tires and even huge tires on construction equipment. There is just no other real practical way of applying enough distributed force over the inside of the tire bead without some really special and expensive equipment. The tire has to be inflated immediately after the ether explodes into flame. Otherwise, the small amount of hot air inside the tire will quickly cool, causing the tire to collapse, which may again pull the bead off of the rim. However, too much ether can cause the tire to explode. So safety and experience is important.

Questions: Are the tires tubeless? Do any of the tires (namely the rear tires) have "Fluid" in them? Our rear tractor tires were filled mostly with fluid and then a little air to adjust pressure. The fluid was some type of water and an antifreeze to keep them from freezing to ice in the winter. We used a large house jack to jack up the tractor axle when we changed from the single tire to the duals during the knifing in the early summer. The duals did not have fluid in them.
