I'm a bannerboy (crusader) and I love Void Spark! Coupled along with Viper's Bite, the new 2*, and it's just nasty awesome 😈 The lightening chains will also proc the Bite and deliver's the poison without you needing to target the critters. I do like that Void will also proc Starfire, but sadly, you have no control where along the lightening chain the meteors will rain down. I'm also rocking the new 1* Eye of the Unyielding, but I myself can't tell if it works in conjunction with Void or not... but it certainly does help elsewhere in battle.
If your a whale no matter what gem you use everything is just walk in the park...

I had a 4 out of 5 star one drop the day it was released. I just pop siphon blood along with the void spark and I can farm an area quickly without stopping.

I am aiming on getting one. There is a lack of options for 5★ damage gems, as hellfire is not good enough. I've been contemplating building a Chip, but after testing it I'm not sure it's such a good gem; you only get low damage from it after 3 long seconds under very specific circumstances. Voidspark looked like a better option to annoy players on the BG field
Chip is highly cc dependent. PvE wise it also doesn't work for bosses so I would rather pick void spark as well. At least it looks cool.

Can you make a review about the hell 6 necro chest essence filth spurn squalor i dont think its working properly. You have to place it in a certain way before dot effect procs and it doesn’t work on bosses for some reason.
I use on barb..it's phenomenal!

Vithus beneficial effect duration works different than the stat on gear. Mothers lament is also unaffected, yet both gems last longer on me because I have stacked BED on my legendary gear and reforges
Vithu's works as you described only for mother lament. For most other gems it increases duration. Keep it in mind.

Thanks for your kind words! I would go Starfire Shard since it's a pretty versatile solution for anyone. Consistent quick dmg I think is most important plus knockback effect.
@@vk.videos I had a feeling you were going to say that. I've been testing the rank 3 void spark the last five days. And two days ago I bought my first Starfire hahaha. Basically putting a down payment on its creation. I'm F2P with active alts. So I try to keep the 5*s 4/5, parked at rank 4.
I almost have my 2*s capped. So I need to pick up 2 more Starfires. The question is, if I swing for the 4/5... or settle for 3/5. I always go for 4/5 but the prices for Starfires are outrageous on my server. So I think it might have to be 3/5 this time. Oh well. Would it make THAT much difference at rank 4 anyway, VK?? It's literally triple the price.
@@vk.videos though I do have to say... it is fun blasting into a crowd of opponents in BG with siphon blood and invulnerable bats... and watching the lightning chain absolutely everywhere over and over for 10 seconds hahah. I just don't think it's as effective as I'd hoped
@carpeimodiem Well, from my perspective, I can say that from rank 4 to 5 is quite a long road for f2p and I always have same problem with 3 stars whether I should go rank 4 with them or not. Usually I'm waiting with rank 4 upgrade till it's at least 4 or 5 stars. Especially for expensive gems. Also if you like void shard as much then maybe it's worth to wait a little bit and see what you prefer more ? My void shard has 3 stars and all I can say about this gem is that I like it, but I don't lol. I mean starfire shard is pretty safe pick. I don't know anyone who would regret this gem. But at the same time void can be fun for BK but its dmg...
@vk.videos yeah exactly... there's one more annoying thing about it I have noticed. I speed farm hidden lairs solo every day until I get 10 monstrous essences. Well... I quickly noticed long gaps between finding the 10 as quickly as I'm used to. And I soon realized it was because I was killing mobs off screen with the damm void spark.
A lot of times, it was while running to the lair entrance. Where the Inferno 2 mobs died much quicker. And I'm not looking back. Just using quick bats is enough to one-shot trash mobs down the street, far away from anywhere you could see the drops. Annoying... for sure.
If bliz redesigned the gem sort of like the meta Arcane Torrent essence... where the missiles fly to a random target. But if there's only one, that target will receive the full payload. So, in that way, the gem would deliver a lot of damage either way. Just spread out or concentrated to one enemy, depending on how many opponents were close to you. That would be an amazing gem imo.

VK, how do you like being a Wizard? I have been considering switching Classes myself. Do you have an Anti-Blood Knight build for Wizard? If not I might consider switching to BK as well like my other friends are switching to BK. Right now BKs are dominating any PVP environment…
Honestly, the wizard is amazing. I was playing BK but wizard is so smooth to play. I didn't work on any pvp build since I'm getting essences for now but my first impressions are very positive.
Can you trigger the gems Viper's Bite/ Everlasting torment from the lighting dmg of Void spark gem? :)
Hey, im free to play bk at 1300 reso and i find its nice combo siphon blood,void,viper bite. 2 banquet , 4 vithus . Void alone doing ~45k dmg in a sec , viper 17k + siphon dmg and starfire . To me its much more fun 😊 nice area combo . In open world monsters just melting without primary and easily can solo dungeons
Definitely I believe it works great for BK especially the part about PvE farming

4pc Gloom, 2pc Issatar(Grim Scythe)
The build revolves around using Strange Sojourn and Tremulous Boil. Strange Sojourn will AoE fear the enemies, and when you land, Gallowsborn leaves a corpse. Then you use Grim Scythe, which with Gloom 2pc and 4pc hits hard, Grim Scythe also leaves corpses. Now you use Corpse Explosion, and with Tremulous Boil, it will explode the fear, doing AoE damage; the fear acts as a corpse in this case, and you also blow up the corpses you made beforehand. All of that can be done very quickly, and it wipes everything out in the open world. You have Coal for Eyes to explode your skeleton after you teleport as well, so you can do this combo; Wraith>Scythe>Skeleton>Corpse Explosion and click them fast so the Gloom bonus buffs it all
It helps a lot for wizards like me. Longe range damage.
Yeah its quite good for wizard in case of trash mobs grinding.

I run a lightning crusader. Lightning horse, punish, lightning core, P and C, gloom cask, berserk eye, pain of sub, I was thinking of adding void spark for even more lightning damage. Now I have my answer and since is Crusaders are always in everyone's way this may be a good option for me.
One question VK is stun considered a total loss of control?
Yes stun is considered a total loss of control. I also can see this gem for crus.

Sure thing. I would replace hellfire for void spark as well.
IMO this gem was made for DH. We stack beneficial effect duration and run at least 2 piece vithus. We probably hit like 10+ times in a second essentially guaranteeing a void spark proc every second it is up even on a single target. I use this gem and have had no issues with the range. I haven’t had to change my play style at all, in terms of distance to enemies, to get it to proc.
You are right, but it applies for some other classes as well. It doesn't do as much dmg, though. So it's super cool, but I would say it just works better for mele to increase their range. DH could use a lot diffrent substitutes. Gloom did much higher dmg as well.
@@vk.videos Yeah gloom is a must have for DH. I run gloom, starfire, and void spark. I replaced seeping bile with void as I already get a source of continuous damage from an essence (for pain clasp). The attack speed is the main reason why void is good for DH. As a light-mid spender, my secondary stats (armor pen especially) are lacking so increasing the number of hits I do through attack speed and added effects like the lightning proc are the best way for me to scale.

This gems buff considering as triggered attack skill with duration with it, so i doubt it’s not a beneficial effects tho
It is beneficial effect which duration can be increased. However even 10 sec doesn't mean it procs 10 times. Each second has 30% chance but only if dmg is delt and you are in range.

I’m a monk and have: BotW, BSJ, Chip, Bottled Hope, Gloom and Frozen. Would you say it’s wise for me to switch maybe Blessing of the worthy for Void? I like to PVP
No - BotW is the better gem if you’re a monk. VS is really more of a farming gem, it’s only decent on pvp against multiple targets.. so unless people are bunched up is not as good whereas the botw effect is better for you because it’s effect is based off of your location. In general BoTW also has a higher damage potential. Especially at rank 5+ when combined with your other gems
@ODIN_YT exactly, consistent gems will be always better even if they do less dmg then you can at least expect it to work. Whole idea of void spark and spreading anything capabilites just doesn't speak to me. Obviously if you are close to 8 people and somehow you are able to survive its whole durration then propably it's best gem. But again how many times something like this could happen to you.
@25mL Monk is one target burst er to jump on, kill and jump out definitely you won't make this gem potential useful. For pvp it works best for crus, barb and bk.
@@ODIN_YTI agree with everything you just said. I guess my eyes is focused on the additional attack speed I’d receive more than the chain lightening.

For me it's perfecr for BK on PVP.. You can trigger it by siphoning and sanguinate bats.

I also agree but I pointed it out that for mele or mid range this gem is quite good. Dmg is a bit weak but if it doesn't bother you then you can use it successfully on BK.

Gem is working perfect but You need to do a lot hits/ sec to be sure it hit every secound.
Why this gem is strong for PvP?
Because it hit people you dont even see. It spread poison for 6/6 BoE or sleeping Bile or Viper 2* gem

Yeah but it also means that most classes won't attack 100 times per one second. Basically effects can be activated by other aoe skills as well. That's why I liked ignited pillar while useing banquet. To activate seeping bile you need aprox 25 chains so I would not call it activator like its something extraordinary. Pattern is cool though.
The value of this gem is in bg, its ability to instantly spread 6/6 banquet poison to up to 8 people in an instant.
Yes in perfect world it could be. Just as any other AoE skill.
@@vk.videos just the banquet damage alone is enough, even if you are stunned, or feared, you be spreading that poison thanks to banquet poison triggering void spark, and then void spark triggering banquet poison to other enemies. I was hoping this synergy would be talked in the video! it is also synergestic to glooms due to the bonus aspd increase. The range of the chain is pretty far too, like that thing from corvus where you have to line up the laser, the initial range is medium, but the range it can reach is very far, itll poison even the players at the backline even if you are attacking front line
@@vk.videos but banquet is the only "OP'' thing I can think of for this gem, for PVE, 2 stars will be better, for pvp, the damage is mediocre unless you have poison-like damages such as banquet

If you see the gem give you attack speed buff with additional benefits you can say its working perfectly with all classes.
My opinion is
Its not useful for f2p players because at least you need to upgrade it to rank 5 for 8% attack speed.
Many players in my server got it and use it in pvp, only who reach rank 4+ is dangerous all others just tickles
Also some classes don't need additional atk speed.
Im free to play and have it already rank 3 ,saving now for another copy for make it rank 4 :) have had much luck in elder drops

Void spark necro pve for useful?
Summons procs it but as far as I tested this gem won't work on max range, so if you are useing bloody reach there is a conflict between these two gems.

This is quite a simplification, BUT its AoE specifics is something most demanded and most efficient.
Theres a reason it released with DoT gems. The continual damage from Et/viper/SB or banquet set each have a chance to cause the proc. Having a lot of dots or ground damage guarantees all procs going off. Range is crazy atm
