Sure, but you’re also allowed to dismiss things you won’t do. Plenty of people only offer manicures and no pedicures. Some only offer gel. Some will not remove others work. Not doing a shape because you don’t want to isn’t a big issue. It’s not like you won’t get business 😂
Sure, but your name is also attached to that work. Not everyone wants to be associated with certain styles.

Yes, every time you said "duck nails" I immediately filled in the "OOooo!" Even before you mentioned it. Lol. I didn't watch it, but my much younger siblings did. It was definitely a catchy tune. Much nicer than those nails. Lol.
I am a traditionalist for my nails. I have always liked a gently rounded semi almond shape, not too pointy. Pretty, but still usable. Not too terribly long, either. Usually just a bit longer than fingertip length.
I love the way long nails look. I have tried them a few times, but only for a day or so, because I just couldn't do much.
It is definitely interesting to see the new "in" shapes. I think duck nails will not be popular long, thank goodness. Lol.

Yeah, it's a no from me lol. Imo nail extensions should make your fingers look longer and thinner. Duck nails do the opposite of that. Though I do love the glitter you used! ✨️ 😍 And yes, I definitely remember watching Duck Tales 😄. It used to come on every day after I got home from school. And now that theme song will be stuck in my head for days, so thanks for that, Anastasia 😂😂😂

I think the cool thing about duck nails are interesting because they have a lot of nail estate to do art on and they can be read from far away. Like, you can see the nail art from further away

The duck nail trend has to go. Never will they be on my nails while I am alive. I have seen people with their natural nails that grew like that, but they kept their nails shorter. I cannot imagine how wide they would have been if they had let them grow out. I'm not a nail tech, just tend to notice other people's nails quite often. Thanks for being our test subject! 🤣😂 I'm glad you do not like them either! 😂🤣
My nails do that, but I cut them in a way that it doesn't look like that.
I love the shape. I’ve been doing this one off and on since the 80’s……curved nails since then as well, when you do it right it doesn’t look as bad as that hand you popped up there.. which shocked me even me.

Me too. I have a tight c curve to my nail beds but my nails grow out flat. Very ducky lol I file them too or keep them short lol
Duck nails offer a lot of “nail estate” for art. Some people want whatever is “new” or “controversial.” I have seen some from nail artists that are attractive from an art perspective. I could never wear them though!

I do my nails every 2 weeks I do press ons I paint them first then you super strong nail glue to stick them on and My fave nails are stiletto I have chubby fingers so they make my fingers slender and my husband likes a back scratch with them haha 😂 mg second fave are long coffin nails with a really deep C curve ❤

The duck nails song 😂 Now it's in my head
This is a nail shape that I'm all too familiar with. My natural nails are narrow and curved at the cuticle, but my free edges get wide and flat, which means that my nailbed's shape is very wonky that way. It happens to my middle and ring fingers. The nails on my index fingers grow downwards on ONE SIDE only, and my pinkies and thumbs grow straight and normal. Talk about weird.
I remember watching a show in the 2010s and one of the girls has them and called them “fan tips” - the definitely were not as exaggerated as the duck nails, but did fan out at the tips. She loved them. The show was called JERSEYLICIOUS

I avoid square nails because I have long nail beds that are quite wide so I have to size up and square often looks duck on my fingers and I hate it but weirdly when I do it, I get loads of compliments 🤷🏼♀️😆

I don’t know anyone who likes them or has them. I just did my first set of modern (Russian) almond nails (on me) I started out using dual forms thinking it would be easier and so I could learn how to structure them correctly. By my last nail it was sculpted. They are all a bit wonky but practice makes perfect 👍🏻

The shop that everyone goes to and gets the duck nails does airbrush and the nail artist does an impressive job. Part of his promotion was if you got a full set you get air brush for free and the duck nails allowed for huge nail art. This nail salon owner told me he does nails in Vegas too as the dancers love exotic nails.

I don’t mind the duck nails,I don’t wear them cause I know they’re not going to look good on me but it looks good on other peoples(mostly those with medium-deep skin tones cause it’s looks great on them)

@@Nailcou nope! They were very trendy in NY and NJ in like 2009-2012. Now I just focus on pedicures, I keep my nails short and completely plain since I’ve been a nurse for ten years.
Ah I actually got a question I really hope you see my comment: I failed on my natural nails with the e-file🥺 My plan is to just keep them short and do nothing with them. BUT could I do tips with this sticky taps??? or will i damage my nails more? ( i got tapes from temu too)

Traditionally they are called splay shape. Once considered exponentially undesirable. As is an indication of heath problems.

Whenever I use those gel nail stickers, I soak them in warm water and they come right off. They were from a set of Sally Hansen press ons though.. so I don't know about the temu ones.

I used to not like ballerina nails, but now it's my favorite shape, but because it enhances the beautiful shape of the fingers. They look elongated and classy.
