  • 🇬🇧 The public transport system of the Hungarian city Debrecen (formerly operated by the company HajdĂș VolĂĄn Zrt.) used to have a considerable fleet of well-maintained Ikarus buses. The local government decided to change the operator as of 1 July 2009, so it was clear for all the public transport fans, that most of the Ikarus buses were about to finish their carreers soon. Therefore, at the beginning of 2009, I decided to save some memories for the Ikarus fans of the future, and made some sound recordings of the vehicles. Unfortunately I don't have the exact details about the vehicles (subtype, type of gearbox and bridge etc.). Feel free to add these details to the comments.
    HajdĂș VolĂĄn started experimenting with the use of alternative fuels as early as 1986, and the company progressed in several phases to operate 60 "metĂĄnbusz", i.e. CNG-powered buses, by the end of the 2000s. BPY-083 was the last piece from an earlier phase of the programme - this bus was converted to dual-fuel operation, so was able to run on both CNG and diesel. This was the last vehicle of this type in the fleet of HajdĂș VolĂĄn Zrt. and according to some information, it was the last such dual-fuel bus in Hungary. The recording was made on a line to JĂłzsa, so the sound of the vehicle can also be observed outside the urban environment (on the road no. 35).
    🇭đŸ‡ș A HajdĂș VolĂĄn Zrt. Debrecen helyi autĂłbusz-közlekedĂ©sĂ©ben szĂ©p szĂĄmban ĂŒzemeltetett Ikarus autĂłbuszokat. Az önkormĂĄnyzat azonban Ășgy döntött, hogy 2009. jĂșlius 1-jĂ©tƑl Ășj szolgĂĄltatĂłra bĂ­zza a helyi autĂłbuszközlekedĂ©st, Ă­gy hamar vilĂĄgossĂĄ vĂĄlt a közössĂ©gi közlekedĂ©s irĂĄnt Ă©rdeklƑdƑk szĂĄmĂĄra, hogy az Ikarusok is rövidesen befejezik karrierjĂŒket. EzĂ©rt 2009 elejĂ©n Ășgy döntöttem, hogy megƑrzök nĂ©hĂĄny emlĂ©ket az utĂłkornak, illetve az Ikarusok kedvelƑinek, Ă©s kĂ©szĂ­tettem nĂ©hĂĄny hangfelvĂ©telt. Közel 15 Ă©vet vĂĄrtam rĂĄ, hogy legyen egy olyan, szĂ©lesebb körben ismert weboldal, ahol Ă©rtelmes mĂłdon lehet hangfelvĂ©teleket közzĂ©tenni, de eluntam a vĂĄrakozĂĄst, Ă­gy ilyen formĂĄban teszem közzĂ© a hangokat. A buszokkal kapcsolatos rĂ©szleteket (altĂ­pus, vĂĄltĂł, hĂ­d) nem gyƱjtöttem össze, Ă­gy megköszönöm, ha kommentben megĂ­rja, aki ezekkel kĂ©pben van.
    A HajdĂș VolĂĄnnĂĄl mĂĄr 1986-ban kĂ­sĂ©rleteztek alternatĂ­v ĂŒzemanyagok hasznĂĄlatĂĄval, a cĂ©g több fĂĄzisban jutott el oda, hogy a 2000-es Ă©vek vĂ©gĂ©n mĂĄr 60 "metĂĄnbuszt", azaz CNG-hajtĂĄsĂș autĂłbuszt ĂŒzemeltetett. A BPY-083 a program egy korĂĄbbi fĂĄzisĂĄnak utolsĂł darabja volt, Ășn. dual-fuel ĂŒzemƱre alakĂ­tottĂĄk, azaz sƱrĂ­tett földgĂĄzzal Ă©s gĂĄzolajjal is kĂ©pes volt ĂŒzemelni. A HajdĂș VolĂĄn Zrt. ĂĄllomĂĄnyĂĄban ez volt az utolsĂł ilyen jĂĄrmƱ, Ă©s egyes informĂĄciĂłk szerint MagyarorszĂĄgon is ez volt az utolsĂł ilyen, vegyes ĂŒzemƱ autĂłbusz. A felvĂ©tel egy jĂłzsai jĂĄraton kĂ©szĂŒlt, Ă­gy megfigyelhetƑ rajta a jĂĄrmƱ hangja a vĂĄrosi környezeten kĂ­vĂŒl is (a 35-ös fƑĂșton).
