    In 11:45 you could have taken advantage of the Neophyte ability of spawning a copy, because since it's spawned instead of played, you can immediately cargo into it. It's a nice interaction that creates good tenpo and allows you to literally spend all your cargos in just one turn lol

      Yeah I did that in the later games. I should have instead of doing the leader

    As someone not very experienced in this game. Can you give a condensed version of the most effective way to play this deck? Thank you 🙏🏻

      Sure! The goal is generally to win the game by playing Simlas + Waylays which you don't play earlier so Simlas can play them all at once. Earlier in the game you want to replay Angus/Vanadain with the Heist to generate additional Waylays and make the Deadeyes the Waylays spawn stronger. There are several Purify cards to allow you to use Heist on the same card multiple times. Other than that, the rest of the cards help with consistency and value to combo with the Echo of Heist.

    What would your solution be against a reaver deck? Love elf heist combo deck just hard to keep anything alive once he starts copying multiple reavers

    • @platinumpatrol2964
      @platinumpatrol2964  Před rokem +1

      Reavers aren't great in a short round, especially without Mobilization ready. The goal is then to get to a short Round 3 where we should be advantaged with high tempo on our last play. The best options for that are Round 3 Simlas and probably Deception, Vernossiel, and leader Deadeyes boosted from Angus.
      The difficulty is going to be in getting there. Heist is actually a huge benefit in the matchup since when it replays your cards it effectively heals the damage the Reavers do making it harder for them to kill stuff. The Reaver decks I run into typically don't play removal other than Heatwave and the Reavers themselves so either Angus or Vanadain should be able to get replayed all 3 times with Heist and absorb some Reaver damage in the process.
      If you don't think you can get to a short Round 3 a play you can go for is to win Round 1 (or 2 if you lost Round 1) with your Simlas Waylays to ensure a short Round 3 that way. Then save the Heist Echo. This is good especially if you can force Mobilization with the Simlas. Other than Boholt (whose value is also limited in a short round) Reavers really lack their own points. Most of their big tempo plays are just Garrison or Truffle's orders being reset by Dwimveandra. In a short round that's a lot worse.
      In a short Round 3 Simlas + Waylays should be enough with the deck's setup. If you used them earlier and saved your Heist you can go for Vernossiel to spawn tokens for big value and Neophyte. Neophyte in particular can be amazing against decks like this since you can Cargo the spawned Neophyte the same turn you create it. You can do it for tempo or to get a bunch of them and then transform the units the Reavers start hitting close to death into boosted Deadeyes. This works really well if you Cargo's Angus a few times. Deception is also really nice to set up to spring on your last turn along with leader charges. It has high tempo and isn't vulnerable to the Reaver damage.
      Hopefully that helps. I haven't played the matchup that often and it's been a while since the last time I did.

      @@MyOtheHedgeFox Heist can only replay cards that haven't been played this turn, so the point of Quax is you can pull the card you want to replay with Heist and immediately use a Cargo on it before the opponent can interact with it. I don't think there's a great way to take advantage of it, but I was speculating on potential ways to set up a Cargo play like that and he was pointing out Quax as an option.

    Long time overpowered elves are even more OP after recent unnecessary buffs. Who could guess

      Elf’s still struggle against most meta decks, takes very good timing to leverage their points effectively. Most decks have 3 tall punish now making the heist hard to pull off on bri or vanadain

      Elves being op is a hot take. This deck isn’t op. If u have enough control in ur hand or squirrel for the heist this deck most likely loses.

      Elves OP? Lmao they stopped being tier 2-3 MYRIADS of seasons ago. Only now they've become relevant again, but I highly doubt they will ever be OP

    Why don't ya keep waylays for Vanadain to put 'em to the bottom of the deck?

    • @platinumpatrol2964
      @platinumpatrol2964  Před rokem +2

      That's generally a good idea.
      I don't like to when I'm not holding Vanadain though in case I'm forced to play them early. Pretty often I end up playing almost all my hand R1with this deck since people like to try and force out Simlas or Vernossiel early.
      I was also trying to get as big a combo as possible (Vanadain and Angus in different rounds with Heist on both of them) and in that case want to Vanadain R2 so there's less opportunities to draw the Waylays he adds and don't want to be forced to him or the Waylays R1. That was just for content reasons though, although it's good against decks where nothing is going to stick R3.
