- First Time trying Indonesian Food near by where we live . It actually might be a mixture of Indonesian and Singaporean. Nonetheless we enjoyed it .

I'm Indonesian, but I never try that's food. There's so many version of Soto, my favourite is Soto Kudus & Soto betawi
I think that's soto banjar that they've tried. But I could be wrong. It says borneo's soto. Banjar is in the Borneo, and famous for occasionally putting milk in their broth.

there are sauces and condiments on the table, if not given sauce or extra seasoning it tastes bland. try a little chilli sauce to make it taste spicy / adjust your taste.

When you said "Singapore fried rice", I went, "HUH?" (Singaporean Chinese here, wondering why there's Singaporean fried rice in an Indonesian restaurant.) Turns out it's Nasi Goreng, the Malay version. I'm not sure how prevalent Nasi Goreng is in Indonesia, but I've had it in Bali. I also personally like my Roti Prata ("t", not "d") with curry and sugar... together.
This seemed like a Southeast Asian mix, leaning towards the Malay/Muslim side. Except for the Hakka Noodles which are Chinese but I've no idea where they're from. I'm glad you guys enjoyed it though. Malay/Indonesian/Straits Chinese food is SO DARN GOOD!

It looks more like a fusion between indonesian and singaporean. None of the dishes you ate were authentic indonesian. Especially the roti prata.
You should always eat the meets & side dish with the rice. That will tone down the spiciness and give another gorgeous super delicious taste sensation

Actually the roti prata is from India but the sauce was authentic Indonesian. I think it’s an opor souce.

Are you guys sure you are in a Indonesian restaurant? It looks more like a Singaporean/ Malaysian restaurant.
Soto is Indonesian
*Singapore* Fried Rice
Roti Prada is Singaporean (in Malaysia we call it Roti Canai)
Nasi Kari Rendang, basically Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia has Rendang, which is beef stewed in spices and coconut milk. Normally if it's Indonesian and they give you a mixture of things with you rice like that, they will include Tempeh.
Hakka noodles is Singaporean/ Malaysian. Basically Hakka, are a variety of Chinese people.
I would think the restaurant you went to was more of a Singaporean restaurant.
