    Hello, thank you for the video. May I please ask the dimensions of that spring in respect of Wire thickness and material, is it stainless? Thank you

    Gravitational field strength is 9.8 N/kg in GCSE, just for you Y10 and 11 kids. If you continue physics further on you'll also learn that it changes depending where on Earth you are.

      If I jump of the top of a Tesco car park roof what will be my terminal velocity

    • @wilfbm9067
      @wilfbm9067 Před 4 lety

      @@iamblank4302 the avarage size of a Tesco roof is approximately 12m high assuming that you weigh around 50kg it should take you around 2.5 seconds to fall now you have the numbers you use the equation s=d/t to work out that you terminal velocity is 12÷2.5=4.8 so therefore your terminal velocity was approximately 48mps.

    interesting class , but would be more suitable to change the order of the position for x and y , and there would be no need to invert the value of the constant k ? I mean weigh in the vertical and extension in the horizontal... I mean it is just a suggestion

      @ATPHYSICS1  Před 6 lety +3

      Yes, we stuck to the principle of independent variable on the x-axis here, but for later work it would be easier to plot the graph the other way round too as it leads on to stress-strain graphs where stress (F/A) is on the y-axis. Also the area under the graph is the energy stored. Certainly worth thinking about both ways round even at GCSE.

      Exon A I noticed that CGP Physics have done your suggestion, but personally, I like to stick to the rules and do it the proper way otherwise it will confuse me. But looks like you are not the only one with that suggestion.
