Thanks for the video, the finished background reminds me the works of Richard Schmid (Alla Prima II) which is something I want to learn one day, it was good to see a similar process on camera :-)
a tip for water-mixable oil fans: Schmincke has a medium called Norma Painting Medium Blue, so far it gave me the best results (as in: most similar to traditional oils thinned with OMS) from all the water-soluble thinner replacements I tried

Find this really confusing- no reason given for choice of colours .. or why some are transparent or not - very fast speech very hard to follow.
