After the insane hype for Mario RPG, Thousand-Year Door, Mario Vs Donkey Kong and Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD, I think Nintendo is gonna slow down on the Mario remakes and maybe we’ll get other franchises to get that treatment. Metroid Prime already got a remake and it’s been over a decade since the last 3D Metroid game so what if we get that for F-Zero, Kid Icarus Star Fox and maybe even Donkey Kong.
They can stop with Mario remakes after they do super Mario galaxy 2 and 3d land

The Big Holiday title in my opinion could be the Zelda OoT Majora’s Mask WindWaker Twilight Princess ports to the Switch Bundled into one game. The Next Switch will release in the first half of 2025. Mario will have a huge year in 2025 with it being the 40th Anniversary of Super Mario Bros 1

After years without many big releases, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Super Mario Bros. Wonder, and Princess Peach: Showtime released back to back within 10 months! The last time something like that happened is back in 2010-2011 when Super Mario Galaxy 2 and The Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword released about a year apart.
What if in the next 3d Mario game, Powerups are actual entites and have life and they stick with you during your adventures?
I STRONGLY DOUBT about this. Nintendo will tell us WHEN once they feel they are ready to say so. I am probably thinking that Nintendo is waiting for June, since it is obviously 2 months away where they would usually have a Summer Nintendo Direct.
It's just all about waiting for what Nintendo has in store no matter how long the wait is for something great.

I guess Metroid Prime 3 gets lost in the dust there. Hmmmmm - maybe we do just get the HD double pack with good controls and no full on remaster. Would be disappointing, though.

@@theterribleclaw4285it’s possible that it could be cross platform but I don’t think it will. I think that the Switch 2 will be a big upgrade in graphics, and the only time Nintendo has done cross gen games is when their next system doesn’t upgrade graphics too much. But also bc of what I said, they need a game for the holiday season and idk what else they would release. Hopefully the rumors are true about the marketing for the game starting next month.
What might also help is port over Chrono trigger onto the switch or just a top-down remake of that masterpiece

I think something should be announced by Nintendo by now. Honestly, the long wait is a bit annoying if it takes half a year for the rest of the year games to be announced.
I also started to notice that Nintendo has been awfully quiet so far. Hopefully, they might say something to us either next month or June, cuz they can’t stay quiet forever

There's an Investor's meeting coming up, even though those are for Investors, they have revealed information that has just happens to also interest Nintendo fans as well.
They won't be quiet forever but dang let them rest. They don't gotta have something in the hype works all the time

Oh, sweet summer child… I envy your child like hope. Nintendo has been doing this for years. Hearing you say things like they have to tell their investors something or that they can’t go the rest of the year without any other releases, or that there must be a new 3D Mario coming, takes me back to my youth. Nintendo is unpredictable and is more likely to to do what you thought they should not do than they are to do what makes sense.

They can’t wait until June to reveal the next-gen console! Sure, it’s probably when they’ll show the next Direct(I still hope to see it by the end of May), but they absolutely have to reveal whatever the Switch 2 will be before or during their investor conference! Otherwise, they’re likely to have nothing for the 2nd half of 2024, and that’s far from good(let alone normal)for them!

I'm not giving up hope for wind waker and twilight princess hd I still have hopes for these games to come out on the switch. I'm so looking forward to the Nintendo direct so we can finally get a release date for these games as a duo pack it might be pricey but it will be worth it and will be worth the long wait anyway there ready to go they just need to get a release date thats it. I'm excited to see the direct in may or June so we can get the release date for these games to come out so Nintendo don't let us down.

Just because the switch is coming to the end of its natural life cycle there will still be plenty of games for it even after the new switch comes out honestly just ignore any rumours and focus on enjoying your switch OLED that’s what I’m doing and I’ve only had my switch lead for just six months.

I got the oled for my birthday and I'm having so much fun, it's my first handheld console. I'm worried that Nintendo forgets about the switch once the next console comes out, I hope they still release games.

I don't think nintendo would do Metroid Prime 2 + 3 as a double pack, I think we could get Metroid Prime 2 this year and then Metroid Prime 3 close to launch of the next gen console, then Metroid Prime 3 will showcase what Metroid Prime 4 could look like.
If they put the same love they did for Prime in the other 2, then I’m down. If not… no way I’ll buy em for anything more than $30 each. Something is something. I really just want those 2 titles prior to MP4. If not… I really don’t think I could get into 4.
I only hope to see The Legend of Zelda The Wind Waker and Twilight Princess HD Ports/Remakes. I'm fine with only my favourite Zelda game Twilight Princess. 😊❤
Nintendo definitely is trying to get us excited for the Switch 2 due to the lack of very major games this year. For example, some of the last Wii U games weren’t very big, as they were getting ready for the big reveal of the Switch. I can understand that some people are disappointed with the rest of the games for this year, not being very exciting and major. I can agree with that. However, people should be aware of these rumors and more rushed games.
If we got the exact two games in the thumbnail, Switch will go down as my favorite console of all time.
To repeat what I said a moment ago, remakes are just filler!

My Prediction: Metroid Prime 4 (Q1 2025) and Pokemon Legends Z-A (Q2 2025) will be Cross Gen titles

- a Camelot Software game (Mario Sports or Golden Sun)

i have been waiting an entire 7 years for them to just port over 2 nearly complete remasters for the switch.
but alas, instead of releasing TP & WW at the start and making it rack up money, they decided to sit on a port that would in reality only need a few UI changes and wiiU implementation changes.

I think a Tomodachi Life on Switch would be a sequel since Tomodachi Life itself is a sequel to Tomodachi Collection.

Its fine, I can catch up on some games. I ordered Fire Emeblem Three Houses today didnt get a chance to play it before, not to mention all th indie games!
I hope for new games for the actual Nintendo Switch, and Metroid Prime 4 crossed for Nintendo Switch and the new Nintendo Consolle. I prefer Nintendo Switch II in store in 2026.

Metroid prime 4 has been privately canceled byt they haven't revealed it to the public yet. At the last investor meeting in January nintendo showed off a trailer for it that was so pathetically bad that they deviced to just cancel the game entirely

I hope that Nintendo gives us some games to play before we move to Switch 2 because I hope they do speak up for once and not just be quiet all the time but there are some games left that need to be remade, remaster, or port. So I hope that we do get full-on remakes of both Kirby Triple Deluxe and Kirby Planet Robobot and then have new side-story modes for both Taranza and Susie just like how they did with Magolor in Magolor Epilogue and I hope they don't use that King Dedede Club Penguin design in both of them. And it would be cool to finally see a remake of Tomodachi Life with the Miitopia Mii Maker cause this year last Thursday was Tomodachi Life's 11th Anniversary so it would make sense to have Tomodachi Life be on the Switch to go along with Miitopia. And for Switch 2 I hope that we do get a big 3D Mario game or Mario Kart or Mario Party but I hope that we do see a sequel for Kirby and the Forgotten Land since HAL Laboratory is working on it and it would be cool to have King Dedede, Meta Knight, Elfilin, and Clawroline as playable characters which that would be cool to see in the sequel. But let's just hope that Nintendo does announce something for us for this year instead of just being quiet throughout the whole year with no games announced.

I think they will release metroid prime 4 at the very end of the switch and also for the switch 2 just like they did with zelda twilight princess with the game cube and wii and skyward sword with wii and wii u and botw for wii u and switch. Either that or they will wait for the new system to release it as a launch title to hype up the system and the game. Those are my guesses. They are just guesses and could for all I know be really bad guesses. I have no skin in this game.
I have over 160 games on my Switch, and theres about 50 that I havent played much of, or at all! So I'm fine waiting a bit longer for announcements😂
Metroid Prime 2+3 and in best case scenario 4 would alone make the year pretty lit for Switch! Zelda WW+TP wouldn't be so bad either. This is the last Switch year and I could do with just Gamecube remakes tbh! Like the rumored F-Zero GX HD remaster! Would be lovely!
What lineup?
I got Windwaker and Twilight Princess for my Wii U. Just sick of the rumors and knowing they probably wont release it for the switch or switch 2 if ever. If they do it will be at a time I already beat the games and can sell them back on ebay for a profit and buy the switch/switch 2 versions.
Nintendo, just give me Super Mario Galaxy 2 for the Switch in Spring or Summer this year. April, May, or June will do.
I think I am missing Love Live, new Love Live games could come out again. Oh and also Hyrule Rulers might come out, I'm am happy, it's going to happen, I think it will happen, A new one might be would be A GameCube for Nintendo Switch Online and also I would like to see Fire Emblem too, and The Legend of Zelda games. Lots of Nintendo veterans have this view that the Zelda and Metroid remasters aren't important because they already exist on the wii-u. But the whole point of the Switch is that you get to carry them wherever you go.

everyones so focused on the amount of remakes and ports they,ve completely forgotten about the Legend of Zelda movie come on guys you cant tell me its not the thing Nintendos told us the most about so far.
Nintendo is due to release its financial result on May 7 and conduct the earnings call and investor Q&A on May 8.
Apr 29 as well as May 3 to May 6 are public holidays in Japan.
This lets very little room for a Nintendo direct.
If it's not this week, then Nintendo would need to cram it in the 3-day work week of Apr 30 to May 2. Knowing that it's customary for people to take extra holidays during this period, I would be really surprised if Nintendo was so bold as to schedule a direct right in the middle of the Golden Week when they are understaffed, and at the absolute last minute before the release of financial reports and investor Q&A.
In my opinion, if we aren't getting a direct this week, then we aren't getting a direct before the investors meeting. And if even the prospect of falling short of investors expectations isn't enough incentive for Nintendo to have a direct, then it's probably going to be a while before we get anything.
I like the words system and Christmas more than console and holiday. As for Paper Mario: TTYD remake its a game I really hope GameXplain does a full game streamed playthrough playlist of starting day 1 and not knowing everything new before streaming the game but I probably won't get/play it myself since I like playing games with people making #MK8D in GameXplain Mondays streams and Tetris 99 in GameXplain Thanksgiving streams the only games I play except when I play some NES/SNES/Gameboy systems/N64 games on NSO since I like classic games and Darby of Blue Television Games 'YT channel Tuesdays family friendly streams usually of lots of classic games from lots of classic video games systems picked by lots of people in the chat.

I think a lot of Nintendo strategy for the end of 2024 may be console price drops and "Nintendo Selects." There could be decent sales with just that, and the rest will be hype for Switch 2. If Nintendo announces backwards compatibility, then there would be reason to pick up cheaper games for both the hardcore and the late comers.

Nintendo is clearly hitting the reset button. I bet there are tons of internal changes happening at corporate levels. They’re just letting the switch do it’s thing still which is great but for those who come from the Wii U era or have already beaten the main killers on the console are more than ready for a new experience. Nintendo is such a huge company with multiple demographics that differ from one another so they can get away with having the switch on shelves as their flagship for another year.
P.S. my gut says Switch 2 or whatever is next is almost ready… it’s just the games take a while especially with the pressure to perform. Quite intense!
