Why I No Longer Celebrate "Pride Month"

- Why did I used to celebrate “Pride Month”? What do I think of it all now? How do I think that we are called to respond to it as faithful Catholics and Christians? Hear my own personal answers to these questions and much more based on my past experiences and where Christ has led me to now! Again, this video is intended for nothing less than to spread the true Love of God and the full beauty of His truth. There are absolutely no hateful or negative motives behind it. I love all of my brothers and sisters, including those actively participating in “Pride Month”, and I just simply want to share the sacred heart of Jesus with all of you! I pray that whoever is watching this may hear me with an open mind and, more importantly, may receive Christ’s truth with an open heart. Remember that God loves you for who you truly are; HIS BELOVED CHILD :-)

I love the message at the end about showing love as many Christians automatically jump to the conclusion of getting in their face and telling them they’re going to hell. Those interactions are what pushes lgbt away from the church as it’s not welcoming and comes off hateful. I’ve been focusing on telling my lgbt friends how peaceful and happy my life has been since returning to Catholicism and letting them know there is love on the church. Hopefully through them seeing my celibate life with SSA being happy and pretty “normal” and me mentioning the love in the church, it’ll inspire other lgbt to come to Christ in the Catholic Church.
ABSOLUTELY! Always remember: Love before Law. COMPASSION BEFORE CONDEMNATION. It is through the compassion and tenderness of His heart that others are drawn to Christ's Church, NOT through immediate condemnation and law! I admire you for being such a positive light of Christ to so many others who may need it. You and your journey are always in my prayers and thoughts. WELCOME HOME TO THE CHURCH, YOU ARE BELOVED HERE! We are in this beautiful battle of life together, my friend :-)

As an older Irish gay man who is also an Irish Traditional Catholic patriot who returned to my faith 18 years ago (traditional Mass and Rosary in Latin) I totally agree with this
If only all who struggle with ssa could come to know God just as you have! I'll pray for them and for you that God may help you on your journey!

Wow, I have to say that I admire you very much and I think you (by the lord’s grace) are doing an incredible job that you cannot even imagine. In youtube there are other resources like courage or the third way which are great! However seeing someone young, like a youtuber makes me feel encouraged to follow that path.

Thank you for this channel!! I'm newly returned to the Catholic faith. I left the church 15 years ago primarily in response to how I heard the Church's teachings on homosexuality. I heard it in a very hurtful manner. Granted, I was young and full of pride. In my current return to the church I feel so called to be clear in my stance, how to communicate the truth but with LOVE.
Being a cis white woman, I have to be very careful and communicate my compassion as loudly as possible while also staying grounded in the truth. And like you, I've come to really believe in God, Christ and the church and real love. But I don't want that to somehow be heard as rejection to those in the queer community. So how do we do this? Absolutely! There is so much confusion and misunderstanding on this topic in society today and unfortunately even in those within the Church. However, knowing the truth that we do, we are called to be lights of Christ for those lost in this darkened world! Continue being an example of Him and His love and don't lose hope, my sister! He will not lose this battle :-)

Great message, I used to do LGBTQ parties in Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo, Brazil, but I gave up this promiscuous lifestyle, full of drugs and fake way to love, to come to the real way to love through Jesus. I glorify you life by your courage to speak the truth.

How would we find love in Jesus?
That's entirely for you to discern! Just remember that He wants your entirety, heart body mind and soul. The Lord of all creation wants to be your friend! Embrace that and BELIEVE IT. Our Lord Jesus is all LOVE and nothing less! As soon as you let Him into your heart you will KNOW His almighty love! Truly like no other that was or is or is to come :-)

I am so grateful that my channel found YOU, Katie! May all the glory go to Him though, I'm just His loyal and faithful servant ;-) BUT OF COURSE! While our Church has done a decently good job addressing this sensitive topic of homosexuality, I personally believe that there is still SO much more awareness and conversation that is needed. NOW IS OUR TIME TO DO SO. Especially during such a confusing month in our culture as "Pride Month", both SSA Catholics and non-SSA Catholics need their resources for truth and light! I praise God that He has used me to serve as that light for many including yourself :_) We are in this battle of Christ's truth and love together, my sister! We all have been given crosses to carry and this is just merely ours. Don't give up because WE WILL NOT LOSE. Unfortunately, many would rather live in obstinacy rather than face the truth. Eternity is a long time, do you want to spend it with God, or somewhere else? And last time I checked, pride was one of the cardinal sins, the worst sin leading to all others...something to think about!
