- As soon as I arrived in Pushkar, started exploring the city and finding lunch. Pushkar is a spiritual city so you will not find any non-vegetarian food here. I finally found a nice place to eat where also locals eat. Check out the whole experience.

Unlike other countries
Younger generations can speak and understand english very well. Little elderly people might understand but can't speak fluently due to lack of education and resources. But still you will find most of the people being able to communicate.
We were a British colony for 200 years and have English education curriculum in our schools, so nothing suprising my brother...

Last year Rajasthan government passed a law to punish scammers and touts making any such acts cognizable but still looks like nothing has changed on the ground.

Tourism contributes a lot to the Rajasthan, the government should do something before it is destroyed by a select few.

Make sure you visit OM SHIVA GARDEN RESTAURANT , some amazing Italian and Israeli food , all vegetarian .
Pizzas , Pastas , Falafel , I extended my stay in January just to eat two more meals in this place .
In the evenings don't miss thick boiled milk with a layer of cream and dry fruits especially in the shop where that boy was taking selfie with you .

you have only been to tourist places in India. but not many tourists coming because country has only recently opened up to foreign tourists. once you are out of the tourist places and visit small towns and villages you will find the real India.

Come to Chennai the capital of TamilNadu and explore the land of 100 thousand temples, you might probably choose many, to compete for wonder of the world.

in Hinduism Lord Bramha is considered the Creator of the universe. The only temple dedicated to Brahma is in Pushkar. For food the local delicacies here is called Dal Bati Churma. when you are looking for a restaurant for food , say these 3 words and they will direct you to a proper restaurant that serves good Dal bati churma. or ask for "Thali Restaurant" Dal is lentils, Bati is a baked wheat flour ball , usually baked on coals and smeared with a lot of ghee ( clarified butter) and churma is a sweet make by crushing the Bati and adding jaggery or sugar and some dry fruits. if you ask Dal Bati Churma place you will be able to locate a good restaurant. Do visit Jaisalmer and Jodhpur. Extremely beautiful places. lots of Old world charm, forts. If you want to eat some authentic Rajasthani food try to connect with the following youtube channels. Sidhi Marwadi or papamummy kitchen. They might just love to invite you over for an authentic home made Rajasthani meal.
If you travel to Gujrat too ask for Thali restaurant. Rajasthan and Gujrat are popular with Thali meals which is a platter of different dishes just like the one you ate. This thali was the very basic thali. Some can have over 12 to 15 items and is delicious.
Popular foods to eat in Rajasthan - Bajra Roti with Baingan bharta which is millet flat bread with roasted eggplant dish similar to Babaghanoush, Dal bati churma, Gatte ki Kadhi which is chickpea flour dumpling in yogurt sauce and ker Sangri sabzi combined with Roti / chapati or Bajra Roti. Ker sangri is a kind of desert bean which is dried to be used year around. to prepare its soaked overnite and cooked with some spices the next day and relished with either chapati or millet bread. Athough most of the food is vegetarian a very small section also eats meat. in Rajasthan Lal Maas which is a kind of lamb curry is very famous in fine dining restaurants. I hope this helps you find some good food during your travel.
