What did you think about this video? Let me know in the comments section!
What do you think about this kind of fraud in the hobby ?
Scary to think that all the fraud slabs were traded and then traded and traded. How do you know what is real or not without scanning it through the PSA app before purchasing?
Its kind of absurd but in just about everything theres scammers/frauds. Anything that can make someone money is a breeding place for scammers.
Sadly, wondering what and where they spend all the money and why they needed the money usually doesn't matter. When you go to jail or prison in America, the ONLY thing that you learn is how to better do crime and not get stopped. Many career criminals like this are more addicted to the hustle and game than they actually are the money. I appreciate you covering this in the way you did, just releasing the facts and warning people.
That’s a good point I think in Sweden they actually go to prison to learn skills and basically come out better. The system in our country is flawed and some people only come out to continue their activity. I think for them they saw all the money on cards at the time and saw an opportunity but I hope it was worth getting up to 20 years… feel for the people who got screwed here. Thanks for watching and chiming in! I’ll try to cover more current events in the hobby 😎🙏🏼
he said “ he robbed a bank, i’m sorry that’s badass “ “ he got caught “ UNFORTUNATELY 😂 my man
I couldn’t help myself 😂 But he didn’t have to use the pepper spray 😭
The content has been really good lately, Orion. I have only made local purchases for my hobby goals because I'm so worried of online scams. I like being able to see time stamps next to the items so I can get a look at the outside of a seal case or a PSA number on a slab. I've been able to acquire a lot of good stuff but I can't always find exactly what I want. That's the only downside of buying locally.
Thanks Andrew! Yeah I have a LOT of friends who are the exact same way who prefer to buy locally even if it means paying more sometimes. I will say I have had 99% good experiences buying on eBay so I really trust the platform for providing trusted sellers as long as they have good feedback and know what they are doing. 😎
Scammers are low key ruining the hobby for a lot of people. Stories like these are all too common and you gotta feel for the victims of these scams. I just purchased a graded skyridge celebi holo and this was my main concern. Having them repackage the card at a different grade.
Yeah I do feel for all those people who got screwed. People have to be careful in this hobby especially with vintage stuff and even with modern booster boxes when I first got into Pokémon I encountered several bad experiences from resealed packs to rare counterfeit sealed theme decks. It almost ruined things for me. These stories are becoming way more common lately but I’m glad the FBI is getting involved now more regularly with stuff like this. Congrats on the celebi! Still need that one! Beautiful card! I’m sure it’s legit man there’s so many solid cards and slabs out there. One thing I swear by is if it’s too good to be true it probably is 🤷🏻♀️
The awesome thing about sticking with modern is that I know all my cards are legit.
And in 20 years they are considered high end cards I know what I have.
For sure modern in general isn’t being faked too much but even modern boxes have fake ones but again only to a novice would these boxes pass as real. 🤷🏻♀️
This is really scary, knowing that the cards are out there. A few days ago, I spent over $5000 on 2 slabs and I hope they’re not fake.
The good thing is the FBI gets involved in card scamming now and that means people doing wrong by others will get caught eventually. I don’t think your slabs are fake they are few of millions out there so the probability of getting fake cards is very low. But something to watch out for with vintage psa 10 cards… much harder to fake the new slab designs I think 😎
@@orionsiresnice
@@orionsiresoh and one of my slabs was a psa 9 shadowless charizard (not first edition) because I wanted to be like you 🔥🔥🔥
It was sports cards too… just saying… they didn’t specify , to my knowledge, the value of the category’s for scams…. So coulda been like 50/50 80/20 sports???
Absolutely, it could have been more sports cards than anything they didn’t point out the ratios but the charizard being sold as a 10 would be a 10th of that money right there.. 🤷🏻♀️
Ive seen old psa 9 cert of a vintage japanese holo witb a dent
Yeah it’s amazing to me that psa 9’s can even have dents…. But human error in the grading process is the culprit I suppose
Good looking homie always nice to see you upload
Thanks homie ! Trying to be a bit more consistent 😎🙏🏼
Question though, how would you know its fake?
It would be hard to tell to the untrained eye or novice collector but people in the hobby long enough would never get scammed this way and I assume it was knowledgeable collectors who caught them eventually 😎🙏🏼
Orion, on your next live, do Horizontal Live instead because I believe YT is pushing the algorithm for this since it's new and I've seen some channel grow heavily in subs and views from doing so. Wouldnt hurt to try?
Do it just wearing your gold jewelry only
I always do a horizontal live when I stream you mean vertical ? 🤷🏻♀️
Just boxers and chains 😎😂
@@orionsires lol, oops yes.
Nice video subbed
Thanks fam! 😎🙏🏼
Good ole arjun
Yep, I will never bid on 1st edition cards with confidence without getting a good look at the stamps at least with old certs you know they weren’t doing that because they didn’t have thermal printers back then 😂
Yea Aspin gets us
Haha Aspen is always listening 😂
